60's on the way. This team will perk up when it warms up. Tough for the Dominican guys to get moving in this stuff especially after being in AZ.

It's almost hard to believe that the Tribe is 4-5 with their .161 team batting average.. just 4 guys over .200... highest batting average on the team at .235.... It's not just a couple guys, it's top to bottom ineptitude.

Might be a blessing in disguise if they can find their bats and still manage to be around .500

No doubt. The bats need to wake up. Is was a fluke Ramirez "hit" that scored Zimmer to tie it.

For good measure, the first Yan Gomes walks it off for the Tribe + Hammy Call + Titanic of the year.

This is one of the beauties of a great starting rotation.

Every game you’re sending out a pitcher who can win the game by themselves.

And you’re rarely out of games.

Keep in mind baseball is a very unusual sport. The pitcher can be dominant all by themselves without any other teammate’s help. That's half the game.

When you have four good starters, that's special.

Where is the hitting? All long ball. Bad steals at times. Why no small ball to manufacture runs. Wsake up the hitting coach!

Wahoo!! Go, Tribe!

Yeah, Lindor is usually good at stealing but that one, it looked like a ten year old could've shut down that steal attempt. We just look really rusty at hitting, as a team. Gomes though, that was needed. Good game it was yesterday. I'll be tagging into the Cav's game, but I'll flip back-n-forth when I can to check us out.

Kluber is incredibly good. He just hit that dude with a change up. Said he was averaging only 12 pitches per inning, so again - he's a beast.

Just need some freaking HITS! Come on O.

The only problem is that its been 9 up and 9 down for the Indians vs Liriano.

Gomes breaks up the no-no with 2 outs in the 5th - single to left. Who knows, maybe we can even score a run before the night is over.

Zimmer just drilled that. Two run homer. Man that was refreshing to see. Think I might stick with the Indians tonight.

I just looked at the box score of the game in progress.

Not a single Indian starter is batting .200 (for the season - granted only 10 games).

And none of them have an OBP of .300.

Kluber is on fire.

Wow the announcers said something about a double play, and pow, we close it out with a double play.

Solid performance by Kluber on his home opener.

That had to be the coldest Tribe game I have been at. Game time temp was 33 degrees and it dropped from there. All worth it to watch Kluber pitch that gem.

Had it been a 70 degree day, several of the Indians hits would have been HRs. You could see the ball just die in the cold air.

The starting pitching this years has been incredible (hopefully Tomlin can pitch well tomorrow night).

Wow. Hopefully it's the cold weather - I know they were out west to begin the season, but it was the first games.

1) It's only April 10th,
2) The Tribe is in first place in division.

I think this is a very, very good sign.

1) Francona always, always, coaches for September,
2) What if Tomlin wins 10 games this year? (there's a better chance of this than say...winning Power Ball while being attacked by a shark, in 6" inches of water, in the Cuyahoga)(in a lightning storm)

Last time I commented on the Tribe hitting, they had a team batting average of .161.. since then have had 2 games, a total of 8 hits, their average actually went down to .158... and they are 2-0...

The Indians are not only dead last in MLB in batting average, they are 55 points behind the next closest team... the fact that they are 5-5 at this point is nothing short of a miracle. Did sister Jean become an Indians fan?

I am not down on Terry or the team ; But I surprised , no amassed that every bat at the top of the line-up is in the freezer ! That we are 5-5 shows just potent are pitching staff truly is ..

Tomlin... man this guy needs to show me something. Like someone else said, you gotta be able to work the boundaries of the strike box when you don't have the arm to zip it with fire.

Tomlin shuts the Tigers down the first inning!

Well, except for a walk.

And a double.

God, I HATE the umpire challenge in MLB. The play is never the play, nothing is ever what its called on the field, by the guy 5-10 feet from the play.

Just like the NFL. Yippee-freaking-ki-yay.

3rd inning and Josh already at 60 pitches. I just don't think he belongs in the starting rotation.

Tomlin has already slashed his ERA in half. In just 3 innings, from 24.00 to 12.00.

At this rate he'll be below 3.00 before the end of April.

2023.

Salazar and Merritt are both on the DL. We don't have anyone better, plus Merritt isn't really better when he's healthy - just a left-handed version of Tomlin. Tomlin is pitching with a back injury, cut him a little slack.

Tomlin’s at 77 pitches through four. Tribe on top, 1-0.
