Some folks wanted to see Mason letting one rip to see if he was really capable of putting ball velocity in the upper tier. Well this video against IOWA he got into a situation where he knew he was going to have to let one rip and that is what he did at the series starting at 6:29. Then again at 6:59 where you can also see him adjusting presnap to the defense.

Rudolph was impressive with Mariucci on the whiteboard - have to admit.
I never got to see that. Do you have a link to it by chance? I'd love to watch it.

God I hope the Steelers don't get Rudolph or Lamar Jackson.
Well both the Steelers and the Chargers are paying a LOT of attention to working out Mason so I think chances are he is going to one of them in the first round. I am not looking forward to having Mason playing against us on the Steelers after Ben retires in a few years. I think he will have a better career than big ben too.

I kind of like this guy Mason Rudolph, which, in recent history means he must be destined for big results.
Because I'm always looking back at successful NFL qb's and saying to myself, (ya, I remember when he was up for the draft, he wasn't rated in the top anything, but I remember what I saw, saying, I kind of like that guy,)
and then you know they have 5+ year NFL careers.
Ok! Take him at #4 overall.
Mayfield at #1. Rudolph at #4.
SO WHAT!! It's not like it would be any worse than Cameron Erving, Trent Richardson, or Justin Gilbert, or
Jabrill Peppers-, wait, he's still,
Go Browns!!! Super Bowl
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
Mason is on a busy visit schedule but he has already visited the Browns. Apparently when Dorsey said there were 4-5 QBs he would consider at #1 Mason was one of them because only 5 QBs have visited the Browns.

He will be LONG gone by 33 so I don't think so. Plus Dorsey is on record that there are 5 QBs they are considering at #1. Lamar Jackson has not been invited yet so I think we know which 5 they are looking at.

I do not envy them this decision. The more I watch and learn the more I can make a case for each of them. The good news is if they take the guy they really want and he turns out not to be the best in the class we should still end up with an excellent QB.

Just busting chops Razor...4 weeks still to go. Sorry I've resorted to busting chops...lol forgive me.
Actually this could go down in history as one of the best QB draft classes.
jmho
Lol it's all good man we all have our favorites. Hell who knows I was sure there was no way we pass on Jimmy G in the second round when we had the chance on him so who knows.
I think the thing that people worry the most about with Mason is ball velocity. Some might think he doesn't throw it hard enough. They might even be right.
To be honest at this point I am just exhausted by all of it and will be glad when the draft is over. Then again I might just be furious who knows lol!

I’d be cool with it, but boy oh boy, it would get super intense on this board.

Masom should beat out allen 100% unless a team gets stupid

My name is still on the list for "Draft Baker Mayfield" for what to do with first pick. I would not be upset if we drafted Rosen or Darnold instead, as I feel that these three are very close in grade, and being that I am not in the interviews and meetings, I cannot make the final decision on how to rank them. Allen at 1 would have me reeling tho!
However, back to the topic at hand. I think 6 QBs will end up going in the first round (actually I think there is a strong possibility a team trades up to 30, 31 or 32 and reaches for Luke Faulk or Mike White to secure that 5th year option).
I think there are too many QB needy teams that will see a run on QBs and will get desperate. Mason has potential, but like Allen he is still very raw and would need at least a year to sit. Maybe more. A team like San Diego would be perfect for a guy like him. Sit under Rivers for 2 years, Rivers rides into the sunset and Rudolph takes the reigns.
A sleeper team with a similar situation is Washington. No one is mocking them to take a QB, but sitting at 13, they may have first crack at the second wave and could send shockwaves through the draft if they did that. That is assuming Miami and Buffalo decide to pass at 11 and 12.

That's who I want. But I'm at the point I'll be happy with any of the top 4.
I'd be "happy" with Darnold or Rosen .. I'd be skeptical with the other two
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Mason is not raw at all. Where in the world do you get that? He doesn't have the polish rosen does on his throwing motion but he is the most ready to start QB in this draft. He is way better at reading and manipulating defenses than even Rosen. He just needs to polish his footwork up but it's not enough to stop him from starting.

The most ready to start, day 1, is Josh Rosen. It's not even close. Rodolph does a lot of things at a "good" level, but I wonder whether or not he'll be great at anything. OK, maybe the deep throws which he seems to have a nice feel for. but he needs to work on almost everything else in order to be "ready".

Mason actually knows how to thrive outside the pocket so to me that makes him more ready than a guy that has no choice but to stay in the pocket and get creamed.
