having a primetime home game in the preseason most likely means we won't have one in the regular (that's been the case in the past at least)

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's nice that we have the two preseason games that will include the starters the most.

The Great Lakes Classic was real. The Barge is real, sir. All across this great country, old Browns players sit with grandchild on their knee and tell them the story of winning the GLC and bringing The Barge back to Cleveland.

The grandchild will look up and ask "Grampa, what's a barge?".

And the old Browns player will look at him wistfully and say "I don't know Billy, some kind of damn boat.".

Full disclosure - Preseason is meaningless and a very poor indication of anything to come in the regular season. With that said, you can be DAMN SURE I'm going to be fronting like it means something when the games finally arrive and we get to see this new look team in action.

Football withdrawals are real. Ya'll have to love me at my worst.

I tried and just couldn't do it. I'd almost forgot how bad the 2017 Browns were. What a mess. It seemed even worse than it did at the time.

Yay! A televised game for us non locals!!! Hopefully we get to see Lamar Jackson sling it around a bit!

Wait...aren't we taking Jackson #1 over all? Isn't that the new rumor out of Cleveland. I heard a guy who told another guy, who told his barber who heard it from his girlfriends little sister's pet parakeet that it's 100% Jackson at #1.

Take it to the bank!!!!

That's what she said.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

START HIM, Hue. And don't look back.

No QB runs which was nice.

No more 7 yard gains on 3rd and 8. Nice change.

Run the ball and use Play Action, Hue.

If not for Britt and Johnson, he could put up a quick 14 points.

This dude throws a beautiful ball.

preseason is really fun cause every year there are these outlandish projections for certain players who are bums
I can recall from past years these predictions on bums
Jake Delhome was like 17 of 24 vs a vanilla defense for a screwball qb rating and all of a sudden the Browns are playoff bound

Braylon Edwards caught a 2 yd TD pass from DA and many remarked that was gonna be common sight for the rest of the year

Jordan Cameron was gonna terrorize defenses and he was better than Gronk

Scooby Wright was gonna be a future PRO Bowler (after he made a unblocked tackle )

Jason Trusnick....see above

Johnny Manziel was gonna light defenses up

RG3 was going to resume his rookie form.

Barkevious Mingo was gonna be a sack machine

Tough set of games for pre season. Just hope we don't get all used up with injuries.

I would love to see us win a pair of these. Serve notice one way or t'other.

I want the starters to "win" before they're taken out.

I just want our main guys to play well and not get injured.

When will the 2018 NFL schedule be released?
The specific NFL schedule release date typically is not known until a few days prior. Last year, the NFL announced that the schedule would be released the Thursday before the NFL Draft. The league then forced a two-hour primetime special on NFL Network, where the schedule was announced exclusively.

The NFL would prefer to release the 2018 regular-season schedule the week before the draft, but it all depends on whether the league's schedule-makers can finish in time. If the 2018 NFL schedule is not released the week before the draft, expect to see it the week after the draft.
