My nightmare is having Farmer or Savage come back to draft. I am confident that this FO will get it right and push this franchise into a perennial playoff team.
I like Darnold/ Rosen either works for me at #1 and Ward at #4. I feel Ward is a necessity due to our corners being the worse in the history of football. I am tired of watching our CB's line up 8 yards off the L.O.S. on 3rd & 4.
For those that want Chubb. I feel with our DB's as bad as they are,we can not get to the QB before he finds an open receiver. I firmly believe Reggie White and Michael Strahan would have struggled getting sacks as a combo with our DB's.
Also, Emanuel Ogbah is good. Ogbah and Garrett were rarely on the field together last year. I expect both of them to step up considerably this season if they are healthy.
I would not be dissapointed if the FO takes Barkely at #4. But I feel we can get a very good RB in the 2nd round.

I think all the Allen talk is a smokescreen. But we will never know because no matter who they take at #1, they will say he was their guy all along in the following Press conferences. why do we need to smokescreen at #1 though? The only thing that makes sense is for them to try and get as many offers for #1 and #4 as possible. Maybe they have info that says that the Giants are in love with either Barkley or Chubb, and are not moving out of 2, and the Jets are in love with Allen. Who knows?

That is my guess too. Allen fits the bill of what everyone wants in a QB as far as size and arm strength and I think the FO is just trying to drum up possible trade interest.

WE aren't smoking anything.
Not ONE person from our FO has said a Damn word.
It's ALL media and people who know someone GUESSING.
It's quite comical, really.
You guys should know better than to get all giddy with this pre-draft crap.
It's gonna be Darnold's team.

My nightmare is we don't take care of the LT position and Coleman gets hurt early.

Whether he gets hurt or not it will be painful just watching it. lol
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

yeah, how about us playing on Thursday night and Joe T as the TV commentator ... and Suggs torching Coleman
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

If the Browns draft Baker Mayfield at all, I will immediately order my Pittsburgh Steeler jersey and not look back. Period. LOL
After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

So .. we have all stated, at one time or another, what our ideal 1st round looks like .... but what is your nightmare? What 1st round would have you considering a drive to Berea, and potentially facing homicide charges? (kidding on that last part, speaking strictly figuratively) For me it would be Josh Allen at 1, and Saquon Barkley at 4. I think that Allen has tools, but needs to be completely "built" as a QB. I look at him and see Brock Osweiller ... a huge arm .... and no real feel for the game as a QB. I think that he is a bust just waiting to happen. As far as Barkley, I don't hate the player ... in fact I think that he will be a very good one. The key word, of course, is good. I think that we can get a very good RB in the 2nd round, and can either grab a great player at 4, or trade down for more value. I think that this is an important draft for the Browns to show that they have changed as a franchise .... and I think that Allen and Barkley would be just more of the same we have seen in previous years. What 1st round would ... *ahem* .... tick you off badly? R1P1 - Josh Allen Trade R1P4

I hate Josh Allen as our 1 pick, but if its who we roll with, im down with him until he fails. Its about the name on the front, not the back.

My Nightmare...Maurice Jones-Drew became our GM and did our picking:
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/0ap3000000925707/Maurice-Jones-Drew-Mock-Draft-1-0Every one else gets better, us??? We go RB at #1...huh no QB...we go situational pass rusher at 4, huh no QB. Then we trade with Eagles to take my favorite QB Lamar Jackson... smh. literally my nightmare of a draft We have the strongest QB draft class in quite some time and we got the #1 n #4 pick...but we trade back in the first to #32 to get the 5th QB taken in the draft. Yep, Yep - my nightmare!

So I heard on NFL Network just now that neither Barkley nor Chubb have been invited to Cleveland for a personal workout ... Yet hummmmmm wouldn't that throw a wrench into this draft if we don't pick either one of those guys?

Not sure why.
They may feel that they know what they need to know?
If they don't know then they may be they are after Fitz or Ward.
In my mind I don't see how they can screw up the first round.

Although a tad early Ward would not surprise me one bit. I guess IF he's the guy you want you gotta grab him when you have the chance.

Honest question; isn't it a pre-draft tactic to not tip your hand by not be seen looking closely at your target? Is it possible that they don't need to bring some prospects in to know all they need to make a decision to draft them?

Yes, they had a chance to meet players not brought to town in the combine and pro-days, ect...too.

i'm cool with whatever else, but allen at #1 is a nightmare that we wont wake up from for a long time. I'm cool with whatever else, but Chubb at #4 is a similar nightmare.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Not a Browns fan obviously, so go root for Pittsburgh now. No need to wait. I have supported all Browns draft picks, even the ones I hated. Quinn, Weeden, JFF. If it’s Mayfield I’ll support him.

It does seem I'm reading more mocks that have us taking Allen than a week ago. Not sure what's going on. Maybe our football guy thinks he is the best option with the #1 pick?

I'm confused, how could we NOT get the guy we wanted all along at #1? I think all the Allen talk is a smokescreen. Most teams are vague even though there is no risk at #1... We also have to consider we have #4, so there is some benefit to not tipping your hand.. and most of what I hear is talking heads who are just guessing, not Browns folks who KNOW.

To me it would be Allen and Fitzpatrick, with the 1st and 4th...
Unfortunately, I can see this happening, but fortunately I'm immune to stupid decisions by the Browns... IMHO nothing tops having Hue has the HC...

Pastor we didn't bring any RBs or DEs in for visits...any of them except one obscure later round or UDFA RB. I think we are definitely going to take a RB but we sort of have our board on that no problems. Its the lack of a DE visit that baffles me a bit.

Yeah but who do we have to really trick. Granted don't let anyone know exactly but we are 90% sure QBs are going 1, 2, 3...what stealth and trickery do we have to do.
Nobody is going to move up and if they do so (I guess with Giants) it would not be for a positional player it would be again for QB!
