Not really a mock, but I'm thinking more and more that we're going to see Sam Darnold and Denzel Ward called on draft day.

CBS.Sportsline 3 Round Mock Round 11. Cleveland BrownsSam Darnold, QB, USC. I'm pivoting back to Darnold for the Browns. I think it's the right choice, and I expect the Browns to ultimately settle on him. It's still tough to pin down which quarterback they have at the top of their list, but CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora is giving the edge to Darnold, so I will as well. 2. New York GiantsJosh Rosen, QB, UCLA. With Darnold off the board, I think the Giants ultimately trade down. But if you force me to make a pick at No. 2, I still think it's a quarterback over Saquon Barkley or Bradley Chubb. With veteran Eli Manning close to the end of his career, I just can't see the Giants passing up the opportunity to lock in their succession plan at quarterback. The Giants have done extensive work on Rosen during the pre-draft process, including a meeting with co-owner Steve Tisch. 3. New York Jets (from IND)Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming. I think Allen has the biggest bust potential of all the big-six quarterbacks, but my opinion is worth as much as what you paid for this mock draft. It's clear multiple teams are in love with Allen's upside, and it's tough to see him falling past this point. Aside from Darnold being available at No. 3, any order on the top three quarterbacks wouldn't be surprising in the least. 4. Cleveland Browns (from HOU)Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State. We're taking trades out of the equation, leaving the Browns to select their best non-QB available after going with Darnold at No. 1. While Saquon Barkley is clearly a game-changing talent, the value of a pass rusher is just so much higher than a running back. Just look at the RBs and DEs expected to be on the clock when the Browns pick early in the second round. If we're limiting their choices to one of each, I'd much rather have Chubb and Derris Guice or Sony Michel than Barkley and a Sam Hubbard or Rasheem Green. Round 233. Cleveland BrownsMaurice Hurst, DT, Michigan. A front four of Myles Garrett, Larry Ogunjobi, Chubb and Hurst would be lethal. 35. Cleveland Browns (from HOU)Jamarco Jones, OT, Ohio State. The Browns land themselves a left tackle with one of their early second-round picks. 64. Cleveland Browns (from PHI)Ronald Jones II, RB, USC. The Browns land an exciting complementary back to Carlos Hyde at a great value. Me likey.

I have a hard time seeing us taking DL with 2 of our top 3 picks, especially after using #1 overall last year on Garrett. It would not surprise me to see us package up a lot of our lower picks, and try to move back into the 3rd, or maybe even the late 2nd.

Ogbah played really well last year, before getting injured.
I think that a team having 3 high quality pass rushing DE would be huge for a guy like Williams, who loves rotating his DL to keep them fresh. Granted injuries inflated this somewhat, but we had 9 DL who had 200 or more snaps last year.
Ogbah might even slide inside on 3rd and long situations. Who would you be most concerned about? Garrett, Ogbah, Chubb, and/or either Ogunjobi or Brantley.
That would be a huge worry for opposing offenses.

Those situational pass rushers usually go mid to late first round not at #4. Dorsey just doesn't seem to be the kind of GM to take a guy at 4 who will not start for us.
I honestly think its between Barkley or Ward.

I honestly think its between Barkley or Ward. Except that Chubb is not a situational pass rusher...he is very adept at setting the edge and playing the run. He is a complete DE.

So you telling me he will beat out Garrett? Ogbah will start over him. I don't know I don't see this greatness out of him.

That scenario would be ideal for a slight trade back from 4 ... with the last of the big 4 QBs available, teams will want to be jumping Denver
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Three reasons for picking Chubb, - Improve our pass rush. Even with Garrett & Ogbah, we still needed more consistent pressure. I believe that by moving Ogbah inside on passing downs, it would give offenses all kinds of protection problems. ( I'm sure your all aware of that ) - Both Garrett & Ogbah were hurt & the defense suffered with no one capable to step in to replace them. Our present supporting cast at DE can't cut it if one of the starters are down. Also, to me, Collins was a disappointment last year when he came off the edge. Don't be surprised if they look to replace him in the draft with a more motivated, quicker rush / cover guy. - Ogbah will be in his final year of his contract in 2019. We need to be ready if we can't resign him.

That’s AWESOME ... as Chubb, MG and Ogbah close in to engulf the QB in 1 . 8 seconds ..... he throws to one of the 3 WIDE OPEN RECIEVERS cause our secondary although improved ... STILL SUCKS!!! But hey ... we’ll have 3 guys hitting the QB really really soon after he releases it ...

Benjamin Allbright tweeted today that a Browns source told him Darnold is the guy, but Allen will have a chance on his visit to sway the team.
He also says that if Chubb is there at #4, he'll be the pick. However, there is a lot of buzz that the Giants only want Darnold. If the Browns take Darnold, the Giants likely take Chubb.
In that case, Allbright indicated earlier that Ward could be the pick.

I'm not sure about that & you can't be sure either. It's a unknown at this point, where DE's picture is clear.
I feel we did a good job with our secondary this yr. without breaking the bank & having to deal with players that didn't want to play here. Looks to me like they will be a lot better, not spectacular, but better. Combine the two, how knows. Hopefully, we now have a REAL FS, & personal that can play press. I'll bet we pick a corner early (2), & we have an unknown in Howard Wilson.
My guess is that your big on Ward ( who I like ), but not at 4 & don't think he'll be there at 12. The secondary will depend on chemistry, experience & a little luck with the young guys. I'm sorry you don't feel as optimistic as I am.

Do you actually understand the duties of a 4-3 DE and what is involved. Controlling the edge. I see Chubb is good upfield rusher So is Ogbah but Ogbah is strong against the run and he is good at keeping the OT at arms length and controlling the edge. There is a lot more to the DE game then an upfield rush. This kid will not start over Ogbah and just cause you say so. I'm not going to oh ok I need glasses so I don't know jack crap. But you know...lol

If it happens to be Ward, I'm OK with it. It's a major need. My hope is that we pick up a pass rusher @ 2 if that's the case.

It would not surprise me to see us package up a lot of our lower picks, and try to move back into the 3rd, or maybe even the late 2nd. I would not be opposed to taking that late 2nd round pick at #64 and seeing if we could move to the first half of the 2nd round. I will admit, I'm feeling really greedy. I want to leave this draft with at least 3 studs... kind of the way GM feels at the club on a Saturday night.

But hey ... we’ll have 3 guys hitting the QB really really soon after he releases it ... Fascinating debate between Pressure and Coverage. Totally understand your desire for Fitz. Interesting today on NFL Live, when asked where he'd prefer to line up, without hesitation he said CORNER. That kinda threw me back for a minute. Our entire Secondary has been revamped. Carrie and Gaines are Quality Corners. Peppers is moving up to the LOS. Thank God, and then there's this Randall dude. We'll see on him but Highsmith and Wolf played a huge part in him being in GB. I'm not so hip on Ward. I like SIZE in my Outside Corners. Isiah Oliver has that Size and is excellent at tight to the LOS man. Chubb and Oliver gives us that Pressure AND Coverage. Ward or FITZ gives us the Coverage but NO PRESSURE. I'm taking REALLY good PRESSURE. Not Nassib Pressure. Fascinating dilemma. I'M taking Chubb and Oliver. Give me this and I'm ecstatic. Darnold Chubb Guice Oliver Miller WR Memphis DT and LB Draft or Cuts.

I guess the simple solution would be to draft Chubb at 1 and Fitpatrick at 4
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
