Sometimes you're the windshield. Sometimes you're the bug.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

We signed 2 DBs in free agency ..... TJ and EJ .... so CJ had to go. It would be just too darn confusing.

tbh... never heard of any of them... didnt know they were on the team... We signed CBs TJ Carrie and EJ Gaines in free agency. Both are expected to contribute in a big way for the Browns this coming year. It was just a joke on my part about all of the initial named DBs we have ....

It's really weird that we signed Escobar as a veteran free agent and then cut him before practices even started.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

That's the only explanation I can think of. Why? We signed him as an unemployed street free agent. He wasn't a priority guy. Rosters continue to take shape throughout the off-season. When we signed Fells, that probably made it go from nearly impossible for Escobar to make the team, to impossible ...so the team released him.

Even so, I thought he'd at least make it training camp. I don't care about the move, it's just weird.

These happen all the time, especially when a team is extremely aggressive in free agency, as we were.

I would bet they do.
These are such minor transaction that most fans probably ignore them altogether. The signings of these street free agents aren't even listed on ESPN's transaction report for the Browns.

Right. Those are all guys on rookie deals. Escobar is a veteran free agent.
Now I stop talking about Gavin Escobar.

I will be in a bind if this happens, because I will have a Chub jersey in 2018 (assuming we draft one). But if we draft both, I will be hard pressed to decide which Chubb to get. Do I get the bigger thicker Chubb or do I go with the faster shiftier Chubb. Any ladies have an opinion on this?

It's really weird that we signed Escobar as a veteran free agent and then cut him before practices even started. I agree. As I said, maybe he hasn't been around since the signing. Maybe he did show up and had gained 15 lbs. There are a lot of possible reasons why we might have done this. Didn't we just sign Darren Fells? Maybe we looked at the current roster of Fells, Njoku, Devalve, Telfer, and whoever else and decided this guy wasn't going to make the team? I agree with the concept of competition, but you can have to many bodies to be able to really take a good look at players.

NFL Network reports that Dez Bryant has been released by the 'Boys.

Cowboys cut Dez Bryant Posted by Michael David Smith on April 13, 2018, 12:31 PM EDT It’s Dez Bryant‘s last day as a Cowboy. The Cowboys are cutting Bryant today, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. That’s the decision that makes the most sense, given Bryant’s big contract and small production. Bryant is due a base salary of $12.5 million this year, and his level of play simply doesn’t justify anything close to that kind of salary anymore. Although Bryant was once among the league’s elite receivers, he hasn’t been the same player since signing a five-year, $70 million contract three years ago. Bryant will now become an unrestricted free agent and will shop his services to receiver-needy teams. He’ll surely find a market for his services, just not a market willing to pay him $12.5 million this season.

He'll probably stay in the NFC East to get revenge against the Boys. Incoming Redskins signing?

He wouldn't come here ... but man, think about this in the red zone .....
Gordon Bryant Njoku Landry Duke
Wow, that would give us some serious red zone weapons.

Do we really HAVE to extend our streak of Vet FA WR disasters?
Bowe -> Britt -> Bryant??
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I have no interest in Dez. He's performance has declined, as indicated by his release.
Thanks, but no thanks. We gotta be extremely cautious with fa wrs, they never pan out here.
