Not a diehard hockey fan but the CBJ started their playoff run tonight with an OT win 4-3 over the Capitals. Love watching playoff hockey. Especially no shootouts, play OT’s til there is a winner.

Nice comeback win for them last night. I personally think Torts is over rated as a coach and gets his butt handed to him in the playoffs, but he always has a mentally tough, gritty team with a lot of heart.

The Hurricanes aren't in the playoffs, which is my favorite team.. so I'm rooting for a few things.. the Capitals and Penguins to get bounced.. and for the Predators to advance because they have the best national anthem singers lined up.. plus bonus shots in the booth of Carrie Underwood. Go Hockey!!!

Filthy OT winner for Panarin. Great.

Pens look really good to me. .. they're loaded

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

back to back to back!!!

A series between the Pens and CBJ should be brutal though. CBJ is tired of being called the Pens female dog and will be out for blood.

I mean, they will get sent golfing by the Pens.... again, but they will give it their bloody all

I dunno. CBJ is tough... tougher than last year. If you remember, Columbus would take it to the Pens every game in last year's series(in terms of shots/overall play), but the Pens would end up with the W. They won, but man... that's a tough way to do it. Can't count on that happening all the time.

Flip side is that Letang is in the lineup this time. That guy is the man.

Panarin is everything the Blue Jackets have been missing for years! They always had decent teams but no one who was just a game breaker.

When he sprinted out wide in overtime, I thought there was no way he was getting to the edge. Then the angle of that shot was such a high level of difficulty.....in a playoff overtime....

He is everything for the Jackets, Seth Jones played great but Panarin is the game changer.

He went backhand to forehand and I didn't even see the stick strike the puck! It just rocketed into the net!

All roads lead to Nashville. GO PREDS!

Catfish dinner for you!

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Leafs took a 5-1 beatdown in Boston, need to rebound in game 2. We were in it until late in the second, they got a couple quick ones and suddenly it's 3-1.
Ball game.

I said the same thing about the Browns vs. Steelers back in 1999, and again in 01, and 02, and so on.

The same thing when Hue Jackson 0-6 to start off 2016.

Aww shoot, I did it, rofl turned it into a hate Hue thread. Sorry, it just spilled out.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Im not a huge hockey guy, but Idk how anyone can count out the pens, when they have what 3 out of the top 5 players int eh world on their roster.

That's like saying Lebron, Steph, and Durant on a team wouldn't be favored to win it all every year.

being a Cleveland Monsters fan, I am pretty familiar with some of The Jackets young talent, and there is a lot of it . I have said for a couple years that the Jackets are going to be good for a long time when these kids mature.

Just not sure if they are quite ready to dethrone Syd and the champs yet

Buffalo Sabres. They’ve finished 8th (last) in their division four of the last five years, the other year they were 7th. Only been to the playoffs twice in ten years and both were first round exits. And they were the worst team this past season.

I was referring to this Peen.....

Catfish tossing started because some Predators fans hated Detroit

It may be a fish tale, but former Lower Broadway bar owner Bob Wolf claims he's the first fish flinger, a response to octopus-tossing Red Wings fans

https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/...rena/508025002/

It's a good read if you're interested in the story.

And the Blue Jackets are up 2-0 in their series. Won again tonight 5-4 in OT. Nationwide Arena will be crazy Tuesday.

That Vegas - LA series will be the best of the 1st round... easy. Those two teams, with those 2 goalies, means every game is going to be a crazy battle.

Anyone who loves good 'ol playoff hockey should be tuned into that series.

Too bad the series will only last one more game. I don't believe Vegas will win the whole thing, but at this point, I won't be surprised to see them in the Cup Finals.

So far I've only watched the first game... I have the gamecenter app, and there's a 24-hour delay on everything that's televised nationally.

Leafs played a pretty nice game last night, I hoe they can make the series interetsing. I still think Boston is probably the much better team here.

Vegas/LAK The goaltending in this series has been some of the best I have seen. Quick and Flower are stealing the show.

Columbus and Winnipeg have both been impressive.

Philly and Pittsburgh has been kind of a letdown.

Pretty fun first round so far. Seems really weird without the Blackhawks in it

Boston IS the better team and here's why: they've got plenty of playoff experience. Leafs are still young and growing, and are a year or two away from being legit Cup contenders, IMO.
That said, we ain't dead yet.

I had a funny feeling before the series began about Columbus upsetting Washington, and if it does happen, I'm not sure it'll be that big of an upset, either.

Boston just kinda came together in the middle of the year and haven't looked back since. Rask looked pretty shaky yesterday though. I don't think he's an elite goalie.

Attended game 4. I don't think I'll ever see a playoff team look as sluggish and lethargic as the Jackets last night.

So far neither of these teams can win at home.

Tom Wilson is a very hated man in Columbus.

Exactly! I didn't like what I saw last night. Game five is always the pivotal game. That winner, in most cases, go on to take the series. This team is too young to hit the wall already.

I think it's a crime that the Vegas-LA series only went 4 games. That series had the best hockey of the first round.

I'm a Pens fan, but I could only watch the first period of game 3. I love that my team is taking it to their opponent, but that series is not exciting hockey. I switched it over to the third LA/Vegas game and wow!

Two elite goalies and two teams that are flying around and hitting like crazy.

I was at game #3 at Nationwide this past week. What a heart breaker. So much time and energy just to see a late loss like that. I'm not really all that optimistic anymore with the way the last game went. Going into Washington and winning for a third time on their ice is going to be a huge challenge for the CBJ today. I'm nervous. Playoff hockey is great, but can also be nerve racking.

And here we are back in Washington, tied 3-3 going into OT.
That makes 4 of 5 games that has gone to OT.

Nuts!
