I'm sure everyone has heard about the massively stupid reaction of the Starbucks Coffee store manager in Philadelphia, having two black gentlemen arrested for trespassing because these men wanted to use the bathroom and wait on a friend.
The world being the way it is, wherever there's a leak, someone will hang a bucket. This particular bucket collects free Starbucks coffee. Personally I think the guy should go for a reparations muffin too.
Side note, the barista has no clue she's being punked.
Imagine being one of the most liberal companies on the planet and having to deal with this. Groveling only emboldens the degenerates looking to take advantage.

lol imagine thinking that paying farmers 32 cents a day is liberal

What the hell are you even talking about?
Starbucks lmfao how in the world are they a liberal company? This thread would not even exist had they not arrested two black customers.

Starbucks is one reason world wide Coffee bean prices have quadrupled in the last 15 years. They charge $3.00 for a simple cup of joe, and pay their top Barista's around 9.60 an hr. Hardly liberal by taking advantage customers and employees since they started, but whatever.
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Thomas Jefferson.

So somehow Capitalism is not liberal got it. "Taking advantage" = people willingly working there and buying things. Somehow that has something to do with what I wrote, the mental gymnastics it takes to go from what I wrote to the wages they pay is outstanding.

Company is not liberal according to CHS because they arrested two people after they were told to leave and refused.
BPG, I've missed you, man. No one on here has your twisted and warped sense of reality. Between not knowing what conservative and liberal is, faux-Roman history, to getting every detail wrong, no one does trolling quite like you.
I like how you casually ignore the profiteering off slave labor as a critique of their so called "liberalism", even after asking for clarification and then linking to articles about how Starbucks won't write "Trump" on a Starbucks cup. Being anti-Trump isn't being liberal, bub.
Also, where did I say that Starbucks wasn't liberal because they arrested two black men, that's your words. I did say this thread wouldn't exist if that didn't happen. Although, I'm not sure how many true liberals are racially profiling. However, that's a tactic that cons LOVE to use.
Also, I love how you describe the incident. If it was that simple then the CEO wouldn't be begging for forgiveness on every major network as well as having an entire day to focus on racial training. Keep trolling, broski
Actually, it was a call made in one Starbucks store. To try to claim that this reflects on the corporate values or decisions, based on what happened in one store out of thousands is what sounds ridiculous.
On the other side of things, to refuse to put Trump on a cup is simply smart business by any company or corporation. When and if you ever start appearing to take sides in politics, you alienate half of your customers. Of course then you have people claiming you took a side by not taking a side. lol
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Never said they did. However, while you might think it doesn't reflect on the company. The CEO clearly does and has asked forgiveness from the men, on the media and is now having a nationwide training day.
Which actually proves these actions are not what the corporate values are and how he wishes to do everything in his power to prevent it from happening again.

So to prove these actions aren't corporate value they are just now having full company wide training? That's a pretty odd order.

Obviously there are existing policies concerning bathroom use by non-customers and loitering. I'm curious about "training day"... is it to circumvent these policies where minorities are concerned? Seems like the easy thing to do would be to abolish the policies as a whole.

$3.00 for a simple cup of joe is enough of a reason not to go there. Then, when you actually go to one and look around, you realize that it wouldn't be worth it even if they paid you $3.00 to have the cup of joe.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Keep shifting the goal post. That's all you can ever do.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Says the guy who posted 5 links about named cups in a discussion about slave labor. When you quote a post, do you know you can actually read it beforehand? That might help you orient yourself and find out where the goal posts are.
My first thought was that line from a Billy Joel song, "can't dress trashy till you spend a lot of money.
lol i remember when i was in high school and the torn jean fade came through again. my mom goes "if you want to have torn jeans, go grab a pair of scissors".

yea, the lumberjack look is cool on actual lumberjacks.

So YOU switched the goal post from MY post about them being liberal, then I backed it up with their liberal views as related to MY original post and I changed the topic? Are you effing joking?

I asked how a liberal company could exploit slave labor. That's not moving the goalposts... That's trying to have a discussion. Disagreement and counter evidence isn't moving the goal posts it's a way to communicate on the internet and in real life. After ignoring my post, you said that I didn't think that Starbucks was liberal because they arrested black people. Now that was blatantly moving the goal posts, because I did not say such a thing or utter such a sentiment. So you created a fake argument to attack instead of answering how a liberal company can use slave labor. Strawman arguments are the definition of moving the goal posts. Thanks for playing.

Got it, your strawman wasn't shifting, but mine was. Got it.

lol cry more. I love how simple questions trigger the cons.
"This is liberal." "How is it liberal when it does x?" "This is a strawman argument."
The cons are really peeing on the grave of Socrates today. First horrendous misquotes, now thinking that the socratic dialogue is a strawman argument. What'd Socrates ever do to you guys?

These tears taste better than Evian. Keep em coming.
On the other side of things, to refuse to put Trump on a cup is simply smart business by any company or corporation. When and if you ever start appearing to take sides in politics, you alienate half of your customers. Of course then you have people claiming you took a side by not taking a side. lol
Starbucks is absolutely no stranger to taking a position and risking alienating people... and one can argue that their business practices don't make them liberal... but the causes they throw their support behind pretty much does.

I always thought of Starbucks as a company that embraces a more lefty agenda, but now that I actually think about it I'm not so sure.... if anything, it's probably the opposite.
I think their stereotypical clientele leans heavily left, and they may try to cater to that group on the surface... but what I can see from their business practices is what CHS is saying... Bernie ain't runnin' that show.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Marketing. The End.
If they put lots of money/time/effort towards leftist purposes then they are a progressive company.
If they just put up that image then marketing.
I don't care enough about Starbucks to determine the difference. Because the only coffee I need is the coffee from my coffee maker in my kitchen.
Because the only coffee I need is the coffee from my coffee maker in my kitchen.
Me too.
I drink coffee - not lattes, or cappuccinos, or any of that other stuff.
We have some yuppy friends that, sometimes they'll call at 5 or 6 pm. "Hey, we're going to Starbucks, want to come?" My wife and I never have. Who on earth would pay that much for the drinks they have? I guess, a lot of people - but not me.
I guess that's MY image of Starbucks. A place to go so you can tell others you went there. Just MY image of the place.
