I used the word liked but I would love for this scenario to play out on Thursday.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news...ee-major-needs/

I do think Sam Darnold is the best QB in the draft. Geeting Minkah at 12 is a steal. I would not be upset if we drafted him at #4. Then taking McGlinchy the best LT in the draft at #22 would be a huge cherry on top. If this scenario played out would love it. Would you Love it, like it, dis like it, or hate it? And why?

I would only warn that just because McGlinchey may be rated the best LT in this draft, doesn't mean he is a good LT prospect at the NFL level. I'm not a scout, but I have read that this year is a pretty weak draft for LT's. I've also read that McGlinchey might be a RT in the NFL, which we don't really need.

I would rather have Kolten Miller than McGlinchy and I would want a high pick in 2019 as well for #4.

I have read somewhere that the Browns could keep their 1st overall and still get 4 1st round picks and 4 2nd round picks. The Browns trade #4 overall and #114 for #12,22,53,and 56. Then trade one of the second round picks with a late round pick to move up to the late first round. It is fun to speculate isn't it.

Substitute someone at 22 and i’d LOVE IT ...

I dont see Fitz lasting til 12 ...

And McGlinchey is not an nfl LT ... he doesnt have the feet ... not sure hes going to even be a good RT ... his feet are pretty bad ...

I wouldn’t take him with our two 2nd round picks much less at 22 ...

Any draft that we end up with fitz would THRILL ME ... thumbsup

Like it. Just too much swapping. If we want someone else, go back up to get them.

Only if we felt like Fitz would be there @12, but it is highly unlikely, but say for argument sake he is...okay...but @22 I would probably take the top rated CB at that point in the first round, that is likely to be selected before we pick again in the second round, and as far as the OT position...I would look for a developmental type in the middle rounds.

i'm okay with it

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'll pass.

Not enough in trade from Buffalo.

McGlinchy looks like a RT in the NFL. No thanks on taking him at #22.

This draft with pick one and four I am all about keeping it simple.

Take the Best players.

Darnold at one. Barkley or Chubb at four.

The back up at four would be a Denver trade to five and still get Chubb, Barkley, with Fitz or Ward as a possibility.

I'm all in on this. 100% agree.

There are some great options at #1 and #4. This need not be complicated. Take two blue-chippers at #1 and #4, sit back with a drink and see who falls to #33.

I understand the urge to add three impact players rather than two, but I'm tired of watching this team gamble and lose.

The Browns need to find a plan, that keeps the team together, adds a couple pieces here and there;

but until the Browns stop cutting players in march, that needed to be worked with and developed, and then try to replace those players, year after year and so on,

If they don't find a plan and stick with it, If they don't keep a team together, they aren't going to win, it doesn't matter who they draft.

What was the plan last year? one week before the draft.
Was it to Cut RG3, and Josh McCown: Then not draft any of the top QB's then settle for Kizer, then
Use Kizer for one season and in less than 12 months give up on him and be right back at square one, with no progress.

They need to keep the team together, and find out how to develop their own guys into winners. Add a few pieces here and there.

Get an identity, respect, prove they can win and can overcome adversity, but you have to believe in what you are doing.

There has to be a plan, one that carries over from year to year to year.

Maybe "Start" now, keep the team together, and add a couple good pieces here and there, and eventually you'll have something.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Yep. There is no way to guarantee the talent you have targeted is there at #12 and #22. It's shooting craps instead of picking your prizes.

I would be okay with the trade down but would target different players.

I would like to come away with some combo of Harold Landry, Maurice Hurst, Josh Jackson and Will Hernandez.

I would dis-like it as is..

Love Bradley Chubb...

To trade down, I would need need Minkah Fitzpatrick and either Derrius Guice or Sony Michel, to like this scenario...in order to love it, I would need Darnold replaced be Baker Mayfield.
