Has Kim made any further public statements about Trump after calling him a weak and senile old man?

But, y'know, Devil, you may have something there.

Supposedly Kim has been trying to get Michael Jordan to visit most of his life. Used to beg his father to try, and Jordan's people would always give an obvious 'thanks, but no thanks'.

I'm amazed that people still enter that country.

He just found out 6 days ago that negotiations would be a thing that would have to take place.

Hopefully "FOX & Friends" lets him know about the American captives.

It's worth noting that North Korea's terminology for de-nuclearization is a complete withdraw of all nuclear-capable U.S. weapons within firing range of the peninsula.

That's definitely not going to happen, but I'd welcome it.

NEWS IN BRIEF
Kim Jong-Un Thrown Into Labor Camp For Attempting To Cross Border Into South Korea

PYONGYANG—Following a swift capture, arrest, and trial before an official tribunal, North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un was thrown into a remote labor camp for attempting to cross the border into South Korea, authorities from the totalitarian nation confirmed Friday. “Kim Jong-un is an enemy of the state and has been sentenced to 45 years of hard labor,” said a representative from the North Korean Ministry of People’s Security, adding that troops quickly apprehended the former dictator after he and several companions were spotted traveling across the line demarcating the demilitarized zone that divides the two nations in broad daylight. “As punishment for disobeying the government’s orders, Kim Jong-un will be forced to work 16 hours a day to repent for his treacherous actions against his nation. May he serve as an example to all North Koreans of the importance of loyalty to one’s country.” At press time, sources confirmed that the malnourished, tortured former leader had been executed in the camp for collapsing from exhaustion.

Exactly the opposite... they are jumping for joy that they have a weak-minded, useful idiot in the white house now that they can negotiate circles around... which has not been the case in the past...

Do you seriously think Kim woke up one morning and become afraid of the Donald?

He has a strategy, and it was verified to me when Kim took his secret train ride to Beijing to get their stamp of approval prior to its implementation...

In one sense, peace is a good thing, when it based on mutual trust and uncompromised by an underlying agenda lurking about.

Trump in any light is no savior of the people... the sooner that you recognize this, the safer the US (and the world) will be... If you cannot see his self-centered, egotistical demeanor filled with greed now... you probably will once its too late... unfortunately

No , the weak minded useful idiot isn't in the White House anymore. Trump is there now.

I love that 40's concept of "strength to fear" is an elderly crybaby who spent yesterday morning shrieking to the hosts of "FOX & Friends" that everyone's being mean and unfair to him.

You think the guy who had a hissy fit meltdown when Kim called him a name and who just found out earlier this week that North Korea wasn't just going to end their testing without concessions isn't weak or stupid?

How, exactly, has Trump "talked tough" to them?

Feel free to fill in any blanks, but here's the rundown of Trump's actions as I remember them:

-after being congratulated for his election win by Kim Jung-Un, Trump - mistaking him for his father - praised him as a "tough, smart cookie", citing the way he always "tricked" Bill Clinton

-after North Korea initiated a megaton test and paraded a defunct Soviet warhead through the streets, Trump, mistakenly thinking that North Korea had obtained nuclear weapons capable of striking the U.S., went on a long winded non-sensical rant at a rally in Pennsylvania about how if Kim tried to nuke the U.S., Trump would respond with even more force

-Trump asked Xi to get North Korea to stop their nuclear testing. After Xi laughed it off and explained to him the history, Trump told reporters that "not a lot of people know" that China was older than the United States

-after Kim calls Trump a "dotard", Trump goes on a long-winded ramble about "little Rocket Man" in Alabama that eventually veers into a condemnation of Colin Kapernick and how football isn't as violent as it used to be

-after Trump gets angry at Chuck Todd, he gloats on Twitter about getting North Korea to abandon their nuclear testing without having to give up anything in return. A short time later, after being informed that this wasn't the case at all, Trump recants and claims to be hopeful

What exactly has he done to pose a credible threat to North Korea in any way?

Are you referring to the Antonio Callaway thread where a poster claimed that a 300 pound man who knocked a 120 pound woman unconscious was a victim?

1) You may want to steer clear of that one given your history of bizarre comments in defense of reprehensible individuals

2) you might not want to discuss others credibility in a thread where you hours earlier embarrassed yourself by claiming that North Korea has a "nuclear arsenal"

Are you saying this because NK didn't fire a ballistic missle over japan?
Or are you saying this because NK fired the missle and by chance it didn't hit japan.

Because, yenno, firing ballistic missles at japan don't really mean much in the world order of things.

Inquiring minds would like to know.

My most prominent statement regarding the situation a month ago or months ago was "Kim will get a billion just complimenting Trump's tie".

You accused me of insinuating this morning that I thought North Korea would nuke America (???)

Could you elaborate?

The last time you and I did a toe-to-toe thing was the time I mocked you for the ban you got after you threatened to "beat my ass" if we ever met in person.

You called me a "LIAR" and had a weird meltdown.

I read about this last November when I was in Bangkok. It was in a foreign paper at a cafe. Interesting that it’s just now making its way into western news.

And, on a side note: This whole 'testing' of nuclear bombs....exactly how does that work?

Apparently if you’re NK it doesn’t work very well. You collapse mountains onto your underground testing facility. Oops.

South Korea credits Trump for opening door to talks with North

https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/26/world/korea-summit-kang-kyung-wha-amanpour-intl/index.html

Amanpour's interview with the South Korean Foreign Minister airs at 8pm CET on CNN International and 11pm ET on PBS

(CNN)South Korea's foreign minister has said she believes President Donald Trump is largely responsible for bringing North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to the negotiating table.
Speaking ahead of Friday's historic summit between the leaders of North and South Korea, Kang Kyung-wha told CNN that the US President had played a significant role in bringing the two sides together.
"Clearly, credit goes to President Trump," Kang told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in Seoul. "He's been determined to come to grips with this from day one."
Kim will become the first North Korean leader to cross the Military Demarcation Line between North and South orea on Friday for talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. President Trump is expected to meet with Kim in May or June.

Kang told Amanpour that the détente was unexpected. "I think we're all surprised. Obviously pleasantly surprised. I think by all indications we are headed towards a very successful summit between my president and Chairman Kim tomorrow."
She said that Moon's determination also played a role in the thaw. In her analysis, the combinat

She said that Moon's determination also played a role in the thaw. In her analysis, the combination of tough rhetoric and economic and travel sanctions were instrumental.
President Trump's rhetoric, of course, has shifted on North Korea as a summit became a more real possibility.
In August, he threatened "fire and fury like the world has never seen." In September, he said "Rocket Man is on a suicide mission." This week, he said that Kim Jong-un had been "very open and I think very honorable."
Kang admitted Presidents Moon and Trump have at times had "different messaging," but insisted that they maintained close consultations.
"At the end, the message was North Korea will not be accepted -- never be accepted as a nuclear power."

When asked what would constitute success for President Moon's summit with Kim, Kang suggested a joint statement of understanding "on a broad set of issues" including denuclearization, peace, and relations between the two countries.
"If we can get -- put in writing the North Korean leader's commitment to denuclearization, that would be a very solid outcome."
She said that it would be "unrealistic" to expect sudden movement toward a formal peace treaty between the two countries. They have formally been at war since the 1950s, restrained only by an armistice agreement.
"You need to create the reality of peace by removing hostilities... And then when there is sufficient confidence on both sides, then you are ready to sign a peace treaty."
Sanctions on North Korea, she said, will not be eased until Kim takes "visible, meaningful steps" toward denuclearization.

Under the circumstances, it is being well played by Trump.

But not for the reasons most people stated in this thread.

I think (I hope) he has a pretty good idea of what he's dealing with in NK.

I wonder why the Republicans have been so historically adept at foreign relations.

Are they just tougher?

You need to get off that stem fast diet! Trump hasn't proven a single thing to me the entire time he has been President, other than he's not fit for multiple reasons and guilty of some kind of crimes that he's desperate to keep hidden!

But you go ahead and make your make believe list up and post it. I want to see want kind of garbage you put on it. That should be enough laughs to last until the next idiotic thing he does happens. Usually every 24 hours or so.

Arch, I know you think I don't like you, but I do think you are a good dude. We just have different politics and world views is all. Same with most from the right on here.

That said, I want to tell you that I'm sorry someone threatened to crack your skull. That's uncalled for and out of line.
