Ugh. Bit of a reach I think. I'd prefer Chubb or Fitz. That's okay. Baker Mayfield and Ward

I'm ok with it actually. If he's your guy go get him.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I probably woukd have tried to trade down a bit before taking Ward, but he is a great player. May not have been many buyers for the 4th pick.

I definitely think we could have gotten him even after a trade down.

I will say that I think we could have traded down and got him ..... but I think that he's the best CB in this draft, and that he'll be successful, so I'm OK with this one.

Might be the biggest reach in the 1st round. All this anticipation just blown away by another stupid FO

Are the Browns really any better now than they were an hour ago?

This draft feels very moneyball-based. wink

we just drafted the best corner in the draft, and people are upset?

Yeah. Maybe Dorsey is high on Ogbah.

I'd have preferred Minkah, but Denzel Ward it is.

I'm happy. Three picks in round 2 also.

Looks like that'll be it for Jamar Taylor though. Expect him to be traded.

Gaines, Carrie, Ward, BBC, and Mitchell.

Exactly. If the player is good it doesn't matter where a player was drafted.

I agree, could've traded down a little and got him and extra but yes... he's the best corner in the draft.

I guess we really like the idea of Randall at FS and Kinred or Peppers maybe at SS. Ogbah and Garret up front.

QFT.

This is so bad - it's worse than my doomsday scenario.

It's so bad my brain couldn't even conceive of a scenario this awful.

People do realize we just tanked for 2 years to reenact Johnny Manziel - Justin Gilbert 2.0 right??

Pretty cool.

Only the CLOWNS.

Nordonia kid!

I actually said Dorsey would take Ward at four awhile back.

I'm in on the pick!

Wanted Chubb, I'm good with Ward.

Well same old story. Forget Best Player Available and reach for need.

Mayfield is not much better than TT if at all.

I will pull for him but there is no way he is better than Darnold.

Off. I'll disagree with that.

I think Mayfield's got a better arm. I think he'll show a knack for making plays. And I think he's gonna show a better football IQ.

I think you'll be surprised. I liked Darnold too (not as much as Mayfield, I thought Darnold made way too many questionable decisions, but I'd have been on board still because of his accuracy, anticipation and playmaking instincts)

He needs to be in the Deion class......4 is really high for a corner. He needs to be really good.

We do have a football guy in charge. People have told me we needed a football guy in charge.

Just wondering, what positions do you think are deserving of 4? QB, LT, DE? That's it?

Looks like we could have gotten Ward at #12 with the latest trade.

Ward is a good corner. Not #4 worthy but a good corner with a lot of speed.
