In all the years that we've been at the top of the 2nd round, we've never taken the player(s) I've hoped I know the feeling, it's like we magically steer to some odd conclusions on draft weekend...happems year in and out.

taking a LT is good in concept, but is there really one there right now that's worth it?
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

i saw 2 offensive tackles already come off the board that were nowhere near as good as Coleman in college. Wouldnt mind Orlando Brown but I think we are in good shape with Coleman at LT.

A lot of talent still available. Wow.
The idea of taking Jackson or Oliver to pair with Ward is intriguing. Hanford and Minnifield 2.0!
Daniels would be an upgrade over Tretter who has an injury history. Doesn't Tretter have experience at left tackle? Hmm.
I do think that we need to get some more offensive weapons. I really like Kirk but this is a deep Wr class. We should take a Rb, I am leaning Nick Chubb but also really like Kerryon Johnson.
And I have I have no confidence in Shon Coleman at LT. There are no LT's close to being the best player available at 33/35 but with the 64 pick perhaps. If we like a guy, maybe trade up a bit. I think that I like Orlando Brown Jr there. I know he bombed the combine but he is functionally strong. With as dominant as he has been in college football with his bench press of 14, just imagine if we get him him working out correctly?
Final conclusion: Glad I am not the one making the picks this year.
Is buttcheeks one word? Or should I spread them apart?

going with Hurst or Landry and add Oliver/Jackson would really go a long way IMO
then target RB at the end of 2nd

I would be real tempted to take Landry and Hurst. Good luck, opposing offensive lines.
you had a good run Hank.

This is kind of why I was hoping we'd go with Chubb at #4 instead of DB. We would of had CBs in Jackson and Oliver staring right at us in the 2nd round.
Maybe we can flip that theory and go with Harold Landry, but the rumors about bad medicals worries me. Guice would be my other pick, but I don't like what I'm hearing about him being a headcase either.
At this point, I'm almost fine with drafting Josh Jackson and just loading up on CBs. We were so bad in the Defensive Backfield last year that I don't mind overloading the position and seeing who shakes out on top.
Courtland Sutton sort of scares me. He kind of reminds me of Greg Little. Big guy, bad hands. I'd almost prefer Christian Kirk, although he seems to be rated less than Sutton.
Ronald Jones wouldn't be a bad pick, but his skill set is similar to Duke's.
Connor Williams is the other guy I'd consider. He was supposed to be a top Tackle coming into the year, but had some injuries. We definitely need some OT help.

We definitely need some OT help. It is a bit of an unknown at this time, but yes, we could add Crosby or Williams at #35 after taking Josh J at #33. Perhaps Brandon Parker NC A&T might last to #64...

After our first two picks I am expecting Dorsey to draft a punter at #33 because he is "a really good football player".

If Harold Landry is medically cleared, we should probably take him, after gifting Chubb to Denver.

I like Kirk better, I think he can play on the outside, and he is electrifying with the ball in his hand. A threat to take the ball to the house every time he touches it. I don't really care for Jones, but I cannot really say why. When I watch him, he weems to run weak but the stats shw that he is pretty good with yardage after contact, so I just don't know. Connor Williams reportedly has short arms and may end up being an OG when all is said and done. - I haven't scouted him, this is just from things I have read on Williams

A source I follow says to watch for Daniels (Tretter may be moved to a swing position) and Oliver
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Browns have pick 33 and 35 ish? For some reason, I thought all this was bogus, I thought everywhere I had seen this that the place just hadn't updated a result of the Browns lost one of those in the Jarvis Landry acquisition, but I was wrong. Browns have already done well, pretty well, but here's what they should do. Get Guice, or get A player at 33, you are on the clock you know all the options, GET ONE PLAYER And FIND SOMEONE TO TRADE DOWN THE 35ISH PICK FOR 2 PICKS STILL IN THE TOP 90ISH. I'm telling ya it will work out best, best case scenario barring any way to finagle a next years 1st or 2nd rounder from someone. Picke a player at 33 (Guice) Trade down from 36, for say 70, and 90 and you still have a pick at 64, ( good player) 70 ish and 90 ish, (2 good players) and 114, ( last chance at an impact player with long term potential) You still have all of that, anybody after the 105-120 range is just drafting depth that won't be around long anyways, history has shown this. Go Get Guice, Go get your best available RB, and Trade down from 35, for two picks somewhere in the top 90-99. I'm telling ya it's win win, It's a Win Win scenario. I love this draft so far, They don't have to fail to do the right thing. I love YA Browns, I Love ya team, you can get this! You Got This! ( The falloff from begins rapidly starting at picks 95-100, 100-115, 115-129, 130-Mr irrelevant)
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

How's everyone feeling about LT? I find it hard to believe Dorsey is going to rely on Shon Coleman and Rod Johnson at LT...we will get killed every snap...with no 3rd round pick for us, We need a LT badly
I'd rather have a LT over a RB in round two...As we have two good options in Hyde and Duke. I don't see much in the way of LT in this draft. I have a feeling that we're going to wait and see how our guys do, and then maybe look in the cuts to see if we can find a decent veteran there, or in a trade. We aren't going to find Joe Thomas, and unfortunately I have a feeling that this is what a lot of fans expect.

The chance to trade back may only involve Mason Rudolph or if a team really covets a pass rusher (Landry)

Is it possible to go with Landry and Sutton
And then get Chubb late 2nd?

"maybe trade up a bit" ?
Why would that come up, when the Browns are on the clock with 2 of the next 3 picks to start the 2nd round.
( OH, and somebody said, they don't have confidence in Shon Coleman at LT.)
I think Shon Coleman showed he played adequate in Joe Thomas' injury time last year, and could develop into better.) Orlando Brown might be the Only O-lineman I'd take in this entire draft.

If we want a situational edge guy, I like Josh Sweat or Dorance Amstrong Jnr later. Landry would be great but I think we can pick up an everydown back or starting receiver with these picks - Guice, Kirk, Sutton. I also like Brian O'Neill as a future LT. If we can pick up our BPA with 33, trade down a little in the second and pick up O'Neill and one best receiver / HB available. Lorenzo Carter stands out as one of the guys left. Kerryon Johnson I think would be great for us too. I love Josh Jackson but I can't see us spending another high pick on a CB, sadly. There's lots of talent still left. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000928854/article/2018-nfl-draft-best-players-available

Shon Coleman played RT last year, unless you are thinking about preseason games, in which defenses play really generic schemes. I thought that Drango did an OK job, given that he is not an NFL LT. He is probably the 6th man this year, and I really like him in that role.

As an aside, I'm hoping we take another QB. Lauletta or White come to mind but if Rudolph is still there mid to late 2nd, would you take a chance? I think Pitt may be looking at him with their 2nd rounder - don't know why, just a feeling. Big Ben was close to hanging it up. They need an heir and don't have one.

Or another CB if rated higher.

Trade up from #64
None of the OT's are anywhere near the best player available at 33/35 But trading up from #64 to get the one you like might be worthwhile

Ward is a very good player but I can't help but feel we could have traded down a couple of slots and got him or Fitz or James. Then Jackson or any of the other CBs still left are still options now. Hindsight is great obviously and if we had no trade partners, then it's moot but I cannot imagine there was no interest in #4. The FO will live or die by their decisions this draft - no other FO has been handed such a packed war chest.

Guice ... Oliver ....
U want an IMPROVED secondary ... there it is ... we take a GIGANTIC LEAP there ...
Ward/Oliver for the next 4 years at least .... although I will add Landry at this point makes a lot more sense than Chubb at 4 did to me .....
No doubt. Oliver gives us SIZE. With NY going Barkley. I'd go Oliver at 33, Guice at 35. Would LOVE TJ Chark at 64.

I don't doubt that there was interest at 4 .... but they obviously felt strongly enough about Ward that they did not want to risk losing him by trading down.
The Bills traded to 7 (and also added #255 overall) from 12 for a paid of late 2nds. The Cards traded from 15 to 10 for a 3rd and a 5th.
There were no trades like those that were mocked, with some mocking the Bills trading to the 4th pick, giving up 2, or maybe even 3 1st round picks.
Ironically, the best value trade, for the team trading out, was the packers trading with the Saints. The Pack gave up pick 18 overall for 27 overall, a 5th, and the Saints' 1st next year. That was a great trade for the Pack probably the best of the day.

Listening to all the talk, reading all the comments here - pretty excited about the possibilities we have to pick from or even trade scenarios.
I will backtrack on my Guice suggestion though. Some comments swayed me differently. With all the WRs I had a finger crossed for gone as well, I'm game and open to a lot options.

If we go WR, I'd probably prefer Kirk, even if Sutton seems to have the higher ceiling. with the way people tend to grossly misspell player names on here and just generally get them wrong, I don't think I could stand to read things on here any longer if we had both Christian Kirksey and Christian Kirk on the same team. That would be great! Then, just for good measure, go get Geron Christian.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

My prediction based on visits and hearing about Penny being coveted potentially:
#33 - RB - Guice/Chubb/Johnson - LSU/GA/Aub #35 - DT - Maurice Hurst - Michigan #64 - OT - Desmond Harrison - West Georgia
