This is false. It's been shown to be false several times. I wish people would quit saying BS just to say it.

I guess what they say is true. If you repeat that same BS often enough, people will believe it's true.

Can we talk about how obnoxious this kid was? Talking about 9 mistakes before him, talking about winning Championships.....no wonder teams hated him....

If a guy came into an interview with me and was this arrogant, I would kick him out of my office!!!

We drafted an arrogant kid #1 overall.

We drafted a guy that teammates want run through a brick wall for #1 overall.

Something that can’t be claim about Rosen.

I know we’ll disagree on this Swish. I’m not a fan of rah rah players. I don’t like on field arrogance. I hated Dion’s shtick. I hated TO’s antics. Chad Johnson, Manziel, the list could go on. I just prefer my players to do their job. Do it well. Hand the ball back to the ref and go to the sidelines.
I don’t care for Baker’s antics. Even if we start winning it’ll still rub me the wrong way. I’ll find it embarrasing in a win. Even more so in a loss.

The difference between his interview and Darnold's and Allen's was clear has water.

I think the ‘championship belt’ gesture is rediculous. He’s smug. But he’s also won at the pro level. My hope is Baker shuts his pie hole. Knocks off the childish antics. Then wins. If he wins and some of that crap seeps back in, I’ll live with it. It’ll still be embarrassing. But at least we’ll be winning.
If he comes out and acts like a child. Running around winding his arms up and junk, and we’re losing... it’ll be so ‘Browns’ my head will explode. As will my passion for the team.

Personally, if you listen to the interview, his tone in the interviews was that he has a HUGE chip on his shoulder.

He is going to use that chip to drive his success and prove all of the other teams made a mistake not picking him.

I personally expect that he will prove that to be true. I really wanted Rosen but I can live with Mayfield.

The dude is talking about winning Championships....plural...that's just insulting to anyone who follows this game. Completely unnecessary.

I dunno, I never bought into it, I was a Rosen guy but man he came across as a butthurt child in his interview. I wish I could find it.

I didn't get that feeling,I got the feeling he was happy to be drafted by the Cardinals, and pissed or not being the #1 QB, which he clearly was.

I like that he does not sugarcoat stuff or is politically correct, I think its a good thing.

if he does not back it up in games, he will be out of the league soon, and nobody will remember him, so who cares... I hate false modesty and politics.

He had the right to be pissed, not only because of the place he was picked but because of the reasons...

He goes beyond just saying what's on his mind, he's insulting other players. This is not going to play well for him. He had better be Aaron Rodgers or dudes are going to be giving him the Manziel treatment, just non stop talking trash to him when he plays poorly.

Why is he insulting, because he thinks he is better than them? I don't see that has insulting, I would think that also, that's what he should be thinking.

If he isn't good, nobody will remember him soon nor will we care, no matter what he thinks of himself..

Baker let Jimmy Kimmel, whose only claim to fame is being briefly married to black face comedian Sarah Silverman, roast the Browns last night and didn't even guarantee a win when Kimmel baited him. I'd rather Baker have Rosen or Lamar's attitude last night.

Right, like the 0-16 Browns aren't a joke that writes itself.

Yeah, it was pretty horrible to watch. Baker was a doormat.

He doesn't even know if he'll be on the field next year.

Let's put some of this into perspective.

Why was Rosen's interview so bad? Simple - he focused on all the stuff that's outside of his control and he came across as a spoiled little brat who was sulking...... There's a world of difference between what he did say and what he could have said: " I am delighted that the Cardinals moved up to take me, and I plan to repay the faith they have placed in me, I believe in myself, I am going to work my butt off and I hope to make every team who passed on my wish they had made a different decision"

As for Mayfield. Really just a bad decision to do that show. Kimmel is taking easy shots and Mayfield handled it the right way. He's going to be the back up QB at the start of the season, he's not played a down in the NFL and the Browns are 1-31 the last two seasons ..... personally I think the world laughs much much harder at the organization if BM is out there acting like he's some kind of savior or promising wins. You win the hearts and minds of non Browns fans and get their respect by winning on Sundays, not cheap talk on a chat show.

Taking anything significant from that interview would probably not be very wise.

We've got people saying he's cocky, arrogant, and immature and dumping on him for that. But, in this thread, the fact that he didn't guarantee anything (knowing he isn't a starter) is perceived as a negative.

He said nothing, and gets called out for it. Had he said something along the lines of "Oh, I guarantee we'll win some games next year.", he'd be called cocky and arrogant and "Dude hasn't even played a snap in the nfl and he's guaranteeing W's? What a cocky, arrogant kid he is."

It must really suck for a player to think he's the best. I sure wouldn't want that on my team. Tell me how that's working out for you in five years. lmao

I didn't take portlands post as 'hate'. I took it as the reality of the situation.

He/we are hoping TT plays well enough, and stays healthy enough, that Baker can sit and watch.
