Should be an interesting day.

Guys I like (no particular order):

Courtland Sutton - WR - SMU
Equanimeous St. Brown - WR - Notre Dame
Nick Chubb - HB - Georgia
Josh Jackson - CB - Iowa
Carlton Davis - CB - Auburn
Marcus Allen - S - Penn St
Maurice Hurst - DT - Michigan
Harold Landry - DE - Boston College

My guess, based on yesterday...
We’ll take the 4th best WR left on the board. Follow that up by overdrafting a position of marginal need. The third pick is a wildcard. Who knows.

A lot of this is based on how we have them medically reported. All things equal, Guice is a clear cut answer to our future backfield. Landry would also be a nice piece.

Hurst, and the interior OL are also promising

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I also wonder if any team may want to jump the Giants for Mason Rudolph

Hurst is very tempting, especially after not boosting the DL at #4, but I'm in for Sutton & Jackson.... those should be the finishing pieces of our secondary and WR corps.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

There are so many good options in the 2nd/3rd. Thank goodness we have the plethora of picks that we do.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

I can't shake the feeling that we could have ended up with:

1. Darnold
4. Chubb
33. Guice
35. Hurst

or even

1. Darnold
4. Ward
33. Landry
35. Guice

or even

1. Barkley
4. Chubb
33. Trade up slightly for Lamar Jackson
35. Josh Jackson/Isaiah Oliver

I want the top RB and the top WR. I expect to get a reach at OT and a reach at DL.

With three picks in the second round, I think that adding quality players to replace those we lost is paramount.

OT for depth, not to replace the play of Joe Thomas. That's not realistic.

RB to replace Crowell would be nice. I like having a stable to RB's in case of injury.

I think we're good most other places. If we can get a decent WR out of the bunch that'd be cool but I have no faith in any WR to stand out day one. That's more of a crap shoot than QB. I'd rather get a WR in free agency who's proven they can survive in this league.

Get Guice at 33, and trade back from 35 for two picks in the 60-80 overall range!

fingerscrossed
Guice!
60ish
64

80ish
114

Everything later will not be good enough to make the team, this is a very talented young team, maybe the most talent among young players that I can remember since even wayy before 99.

(Drafts fall off, historically after picks in the 104-119 range, that is the last guy which usually latches on with a team.)

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Not to be contrarian, but
WR Sutton
WR St Brown
and
RB Chubb,

are 3 guys I'm down on, 3 guys I don't think improve the Browns in any way.

OK, But they better find a guy better than Roderick Johnson, or it's waste, they are just spinning their wheels.

Rod Johnson, OT, from Florida, already on the team, why not allow him to be the depth, unless you get someone clearly higher caliber it's a wasted opportunity.

If there is no talent in the position, its a wasted pick.

Draft BPA, we have so many holes to fill.

I think that Guice is a good value here.

I will start this post with a Question:

Is there some injury or personal matter that has the best Center still available and the #2 and #3 ranked Centers taken already.

If none then James Daniels might be the best pick for us!

Guice and Chubb two best RBs for us right now.

WR...at 64 if available I wouldn't mind taking a shot at DJ Chark. Punt returner and 5th WR but has the biggest upside. If Saunders can teach him technical part of the game he could become a good one. A kid who will not be asked much from his first season, if he learns he can become great. He is an excellent punt returner.

On defense we know about the CBs - but I'm curious about Landry and Evans. Landry is that situational pass rusher many were looking for in Chubb. Evans is just a darn good football player.

I'm showing the BPA on my board that is available is Connor Williams OT Texas.

I like Guice but many think he is a problem child.

So for me: its OL at 33 either the best Center or the best OT

at 35 Guice all depends on the interview.

We can always take one of the CBs, around 3 worthy but I hesitate only because of the Ward pick but it would be great to draft our #1 n #2 CBs

We cannot go wrong with any of these picks.

I don't want WR early maybe at 64.

Got to love it.

We got two great players so far would like to come away with 3 more!

jmho

zegura said Guice is not likely in play for us
