Rosen ... I thought he sounded like a total Jerk. I thought Mayfield was put in a crappy no-win situation on Jimmy K show and handled it as good as could have been given the situation.

So the words you heard from Rosen are worse than the actions of Mayfield while in college?

I think you're searching for reasons to dislike one player while overlooking the actions of another player to like him.

There is an interview on the internet of Aaron Rodgers saying something very similar. Tom Brady still knows all the QBs taken ahead of him.

I didn't say that. I am not comparing what Mayfield did as a student to what Rosen said on the first few minutes of his pro career.

If you want to hate BM for making bad choices as a kid - have at it. Don't put words I never said in my mouth though.

I don't hate Mayfield at all. Kids are young and I understand that they sometimes say and do stupid things.

I'm just not going to rail against one kid for doing it while trying to sacrifice another one for doing it.

I don't pick and choose like that.

It actually fit both of them Tab. When kids are young they say and do some stupid things. We all hope they put it behind them moving forward.

So the issue I addressed was what Rosen said in his interview. Was it good or bad?

I think it was a natural reaction from a young kid.

Fair enough. I would have expected all the first round prospects to be coached and had mock interviews and do better.

Rosen's interview might show he's got a burning desire to beat the world.... Proof will be on the field Sunday's.

Exactly. I hope TT plays well. So well we have to consider extending his contract. Not because I want Baker to fail but because I don’t have much faith he’ll succeed. If TT plays well, we win.
Ultimately TT is next up. I want him to ball out.
If TT can’t do it I hope Baker proves me wrong because he’s next up at that point.

I hope and believe that Mayfield's ceiling is way beyond TT. I hope that Mayfield sits and learns and is pushing for a starting slot by game 8. Whether he sits & learns or plays at that point might simply be based on wins and losses .... by I hope Mayfield crushes it and is good enough to force the issue.

I think TT is going to be the best QB we've seen on Sundays since DA had his break out year .... but I don't think his ceiling is the same as Mayfield's.... but until we see him play an NFL game, even if its only preseason snaps, we don't know what'll happen.

I hope Taylor plays great. Mayfield will never amount to anything other than a circus act. He never has taken a snap under center. Played in a gimmick offense in college. We have tried this many times with better QB's and failed each time. Please Taylor be the real deal.
