Pretty sure THROW LONG is taking a shot at everyone else crying so hard about this draft.

I'm pretty sure none of our lives are over because we drafted Nick Chubb with our 35th overall pick.

Better RB than Saquon Barkley?

Please stop taking whatever it is you are taking.

First off I don't think thebigbaddawg is taking anything..He's voicing his opinion..and if you read how he states it..I agree..

AS a RB Chubb maybe better..as an all around athlete as in Running and catching downfield Barkley maybe better.

Comparing players to what they did in Collage to what they MAY DO in the NFL is nothing more than opinion...Until they show what they can do..everyone can voice their opinion..

You have no clue as in how Barkley will perform in the NFL ..you only know what you saw in his collage performance...

As this draft goes on I can only hope the players selected will succeed and perform well for this team... Only until I see the on field performance is how i can make a judgement on how they will help the team...jmo.

Thank you for saving me the time.

you had a good run Hank.

Best to him he's on the Browns now, somebody teach him how to RUN!

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I feel about the Chubb pick the way Dawgs4life feels about the Mayfield pick.
I hope I'm wrong.

You are not even close to thinking about Nick Chubb.
He ranked in the top 5 rbs on just about everyone's list.
Do you get high and post crap or is this a joke?
Your last two posts are the biggest moronic posts I ever read!!
Please correct me if you are joking and I'm very sorry.

Ignore the negative posts. Chubb is a good RB and a good pick for us. I expect him to be very productive.

Alonzo Highsmith was asked who Chubb reminds him of, and immediately he answered "Jamal Lewis".

That's a heavy Duty comparison.

I see how his highlights are unimpressive. He seemed to lose every 1 on 1. But he did run great in traffic. Runs better in a crowd then open in space. He reminds me of Terry Kirby.

Absolutely and he didn't even hesitate a second when he said it. If he is even CLOSE to a Jamal Lewis type we just got a lot better at the position!

Carried the ball 758 times and fumbled 8 times, including 0 last year.
While Georgia rarely faces any quality opponents that's pretty impressive.;-

#2 SEC All time Rushing leader and while the SEC isn't known for having any great RB's that's pretty impressive. ;-)

Was strongly in the hunt for the Heisman until a knee injury, NOT ACL.

Ball Security, Patient, Ball Security, Follows his blockers, Moves the Sticks, Ball Security....
Can't imagine why Dorsey wasted a pick on this guy....

And that is a good comparison. Chubb is a one cut guy who runs like a ton of bricks. He runs hard.

He is a workhorse. He gets better as his carries increase.

Good thing Hue isn't calling plays and Haley is.

This will likely be my next Browns jersey...

Hyde should be sweating...

I've said this before, but I think our RB situation looks very similar to the year we brought in Ben Tate.. Ben Tate expected to be that guy, and then the young guys outshined him.

Love this pick!!!

Saquan is a good back but Chubb won't go backwards and lose yards looking for the homerun he will run you down and gain whats there !!!

Here is my take on Chubb...

He takes what the defense will give him.

He finds a hole and goes.

He makes one cut

He doesn't seem to spend a lot of time dancing.

He's not careless with the ball

He has good vision

He understands when to turn his burst on.

he should be fully recovered from his injury this year

He is tough and runs with a good pad level

occasionally, he takes a big hit but he usually gets leg tackled.

He is comfortable sharing the spotlight with a multi back approach

He is still learning how to run post knee injury.

He has quick feet and he stays balanced on them

I don't think that Chubb has any effects of the injury that still linger...heck I thought that his first game back from injury in 2016, he showed full confidence in his knee and his ability's. Does he still have 4.4 40: ?! No, but he sill runs a 4.52, so there is hardly any noticeable effects left over from his injury two and a half years ago.

This is the only selection at it's selection point that I like (agapao) so far in this Browns draft.

He runs like if you asked a guy, "don't do anything, just run the ball but whatever you do, don't make anybody miss, or do anything to avoid getting tackled, and don't power through anything, and whatever you do don't change direction or be sure to fall forward,
Just run one way and when you get hit go to the ground".

Let me say no more.

Open your eyes and watch his highlight reel again, you'll see him proving everything you just said wrong. WRONG!!!

Highlight reels are heavily slanted in one direction. I've never gained any actual insight on a player from a highlight reel.

Having said that, Chubb is a quality RB. While people may question his pass catching skills, he wasn't asked to do that much. When he was asked to do that, he did it quite well.

Most of those pooh pooing the Chubb pick are simply people who are butt hurt we didn't get Barkley or whoever their guy was. lol

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

All good points Pit. The more I look at our draft the more I like it and I wanted Darnold and B. Chubb. They weren't the only good players. We got some good players too.

I had a strong suspicion we would address the secondary with that pick. Either the best FS, Fitz, or Ward. We didn't draft my choice of QB, but as long as there are no more major maturity issues with MayfieldI think we will be fine there.

Lord Dorsey must have tripped on his ego, bumped his head, gained IQ above neanderthal and swallowed his cud of big league chew...because I actually don't hate this pick.

Well according to you, you're never going to see them play anyway so what difference does it make?

RB Nick Chubb PFF evaluations; gave Nick a grade of 108.5 elusive rating in 2014 (pre-injury), which is an astronomical score.

In 2017 his numbers where down as expected after his injury, but his 94.6 elusive rating is still an outstanding score.

Also his YAC was 3.73 yards per attempt his freshman year in 2014, pre-injury.

In 2017 his YAC was actually higher with a YAC of 3.77 yards per attempt. This number had fallen off to 3.65 yards per attempt in 2016 coming back from injury.

While his speed and elusiveness has been forever altered somewhat by his injury (that did not include an ACL), ... Nick's strength and football IQ has increased.

I think Hyde and Chubb are going to be a handful for any Defense and help whoever is the QB ...

After Chubb seeing 8 or 9 in the box at Georgia ... (In my best Andy Griffith voice) I suspect that this NFL stuff should be as easy as Aunt Bee's Apple pie on a Sunday afternoon. wink

6 in the box ... Easy peasy. lol

Watching his tape it was his vision that made me happy that he is a Brown. Nothing special about his game...all good but its the vision that is something that cannot be taught. Great short yardage back and after 2 runs will almost always have us in a 3rd and short situation. He's a younger Hyde so so close to each other as they share reps and keep each other fresh for the entire season unfold.

Duke, I expect him to be 2nd on our team in Receptions, Landry first. Devalve another possession WR Godon and Njoku the miss match and big strike guys. Throw in Calloway, jett sweeps man do we have weapons on this team. Look at our Roster opening day 2017 and look at it now. Just amazing. Man I wish we could go in a time machine and bring back Joe Thomas circa 2013 - He deserves to be part of this!

Hyde or Chubb can set the table for our passing game and yes they are similar so the offense should not miss a beat with either, ... I see an upgrade over Crow, because these two guys run hard and can break tackles, yet still can break it for long gains, especially with 6 in the box, which is what an opposing defense will be in to take away our receiving weapons.

They should be salivating like rabid Dawgs over that opportunity when it presents itself.

Making the LB a priorty in the AFC North.
DB's will be worn down by attribution in the 4th quarter if they stay in a sub defense.

Just one more thing that I would like to add to your assessment tab ... and that is Chubb has quick feet, especially for a RB of his size.

It will be a dual attacking offense if these position guys are successful.

If these present no threat to the defense, then they will stack the box to try and take away the run.

Being able to run the ball when we need to, will let us close out games the right way.
