This should be fun. Predict the likely outcome (from your perspective) of all 5 QB's taken in the first round by comparing them to other QB's.

Edit: Added Mason Rudolph for THROW LONG. Feel free to also add other QB's as well if you like.

1. Baker Mayfield
60% Brett Favre.
20% Russell Wilson.
20% Jeff Garcia.

3. Sam Darnold
50% Andy Dalton.
30% Tony Romo.
20% Jimmy Clausen.

7. Josh Allen
33.3% Matthew Stafford.
33.3% Kyle Boller.
33.3% Derek Anderson.

10. Josh Rosen
60% Jay Cutler.
30% Matt Ryan.
10% Ryan Leaf.

31. Lamar Jackson
50% Mike Vick.
25% RG III.
25% Terrelle Pryor.

----

Mason Rudolph
33.3% Dak Prescott.
33.3% Sam Bradford.
33.3% Brian Brohm.

You are not going to include Mason Rudolph in this?

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I want them all to succeed at varying levels.

I just don't know how to categorize them by other qb's names.

1. Baker Mayfield
Mostly prime Flutie, partly young Favre, a little Montana, and a dash of Sipe.
Franchise/Pro Bowl ceiling.
Brian Hoyer floor.

3. Sam Darnold
Jim Kelly ceiling.
Kyle Boller floor.

7. Josh Allen
Big Ben ceiling.
Tannehill floor.

10. Josh Rosen
P. Manning ceiling.
49ers Alex Smith floor.

31. Lamar Jackson
Bust out by 2020.

Mason Rudolph
Jimmy Garoppolo like I think. Will play backup for four years then get a chance to start on another team.

Franchise QB ceiling.
2nd contract bust floor.

Rudolph was your guy? I had him 4th behind Mayfield, Darnold, and Rosen in that order. I thought he would have been a good value later in the first or early second.

I think he has a better floor than Allen, but without the arm strength. They were closely matched in my eyes.

The only QB who mattered to me:

Sam Darnold
50% Aaron Rodgers
50% Joe Montana

The QB we took:

Baker Mayfield
95% Johnny Manziel
5% Drew Brees

Well he's not going to be Favre or Montanna or Manziel or Brady Quinn,

Baker is going to be whatever he ends up.

But he is going to be Him not somebody else, I think he will be something special.

How about, best since 1993, you know what I mean. ( I said SINCE!)

3. Sam Darnold: Carson Palmer

3. Josh Allen: Akili Smith

7. Josh Rosen: Jeff George

31. Lamar Jackson (wasn't he #32?) David Klingler

Baker Mayfield - Out of the league before his 2nd contract.

Sam Darnold - Hall of Fame Super Bowl QB and a rivalry with Rosen like Elway/Marino, Manning/Brady.

Josh Rosen - Hall of Fame Super Bowl QB and a rivalry with Darnold like Elway/Marino, Manning/Brady.

Josh Allen - 10 year career with a few pro bowls

Hey, you laugh. Learch had a great career. He was widely loved and he only had to ever groan, and never change his facial expression. How many actors can make a career of that? I’d say Learch was pretty successful.
Allen will have to actually exceed my expectations to live up to the Learch moniker now that I think of it.
