If you really want to lose weight and keep it off you have to change the way you live your life. Most people who binge eat suffer from depression. High sugar levels give you an emotional boost. Chocolate can have the same effect as prozac which is an antidepressant. It's one of the reasons when you feel sad you start to crave chocolate. After eating a sugary treat you get a spike in hormones that makes you happy but then when it crashes because pure sugar burns up very quickly it leaves you anxious, fidgety, or sleepy. Food is every bit as addictive as narcotic drugs.
So how do you fix it? For one you need to understand that there is no such thing as cold turkey when it comes to sugar. Doing so can put stress on your heart and mental well being. Instead what you have to do is sneak that sugar in while your eating other food that is high in fibre. That way you can enjoy the taste but have it less likely to be absorbed into your system. 1 gram of fibre will block 1 gram of sugar.
For example, eating a salad with apple wedges or raisins. Raisins and Apples are both high in fibre. With red delicious apples you can eat as many apples as you want and never gain weight.
Don't avoid sugar but instead be strategic with it. For instance use honey as a replacement for sugar in coffee or tea. Adding orange wedges to tea can sweeten thing up and the citrus makes a strong impact on the flavor. It's why lemon tea usually has half the sugar.
The other thing to be wary of is SALT. When you have a diet high in sodium you will be thirsty more often AND you will retain water weight by quite a bit. Salt is a flavor enhancer and is often added to diet drinks which is why when you drink diet coke your as thirsty before you drank it as before you drank it because it's basically flavored salt water. Drinking fresh brewed tea instead of diet soda is far healthier for you.
Also avoid drinking fruit juice. Fruit juice might as well be cocaine for people addicted to food. At least if you EAT the fruit you still get the fiber but with juice you get a super dose of sugar with very little fiber.
blueberries, cherries, and watermelon are the best fruits to eat when your trying to lose weight.
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
