I'm also not a school teacher, I just play one on dawgtalkers.
Their perceived insults when they get Mad Online are so laughably weird.
One time 40 got so Mad Online when people were mocking him for saying that Trump would've ran into the Parkland shooting because he had "Fight" in his eyes that out of nowhere he uncorked "oh, yeah, well I remember a certain poster getting sad when his pet almost died!".
It's George Costanza-level "Jerk Store" stuff and it always cracks me up.
No, you are being your typical lying sack of crap troll self and falsely applying a racism label without just cause, because you believe it overrides all else. Stupid twits such as yourselves are making that label meaningless with your self-righteous zeal.
It is an INHERENT problem, with such as you, ain't that right, phil?
Try reading more carefully, and paying attention to punctuation. A question is not a declarative statement.
I was speaking to Clem. Either the answer to the question about work ethic, from him, is "yes", or some similar other reason, or he was, in fact, referring to skin color, which he denied, with his previous statement.
I looked it up, and was wrong - it wasn't the Parkland thread, it was the thread when 40 got Mad Online because everyone was mocking him for saying a rapist was "cool" and "tough".

The funniest part about this beyond 40 claiming it never happened when everyone and their mother knew I could fish it up in 10 seconds is that he considered it "abuse" when he fell on his face trying to mock me for being sad my pet almost died, causing the collective board to ask "Jesus, 40, what is wrong with you?"
Actually, phil is lying, again. 40 did not say the war criminal, in any general or inclusive sense, was cool or tough. He did refer to the last major act of his life, which was suicide, after a death sentence, and refer to that particular, singular act, in the referenced fashion.
OCD expressed agreement with this very limited, narrowly defined concept.
The language was quite clear and easy to understand. Makes me wonder if phil only writes kindergarten books? How do you so badly misunderstand simple language? Unless, of course, the person is either deliberately lying, as phil is known to do, or is suffering some sort of mental issue, as phil refers to with unusual frequency.

I mostly just ignore him and his word games now. The Board is on to his games. We call them PDF facts.

You, Diam and the other Trump guy who constantly embarrasses himself call them "PDF Facts".
No one else does.
Remember two minutes ago when I mocked you for your bizarre and angry comment about my cat and you called it a lie and "another PDF fact", and then I posted the exact quote?

Reminds me of Maxine Waters just replace the word impeach with Racist.
He clearly does not understand what the words he quoted actually mean. Strange for someone who claims to be a professional writer, to so regularly mis-understand simple english.
Now he claims I posted a cartoon. The man is delusional, living in his own reality. I think he needs an ice-cream delivery.
I was incorrect about the death sentence, so he could have lived in prison. Whatever the actions leading up to it, the man made a hardcore decision.
Mussolini made the trains run on time. I realize many do not understand the statement. Now you have another example.

I love how they think saying things about Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi means anything to anyone.
i love how nelso, aka mr. logic, is in here throwing hissy fits.
i'ver never seen one poster trigger someone this bad.
btw, you can't cry about names when you're out here calling people twits, nelson.
everything you claim you're about a while back is becoming laughably incorrect.

You're on an internet message board, where anyone can fortunately reply to anyone. Clem has painstakingly described about dog whistling recently. Quite frankly, he nor others, can continuously try to explain their positions when no one takes time to actually listen to them. It's mentally exhausting for them.
The Norwegian thing was a great dog whistling tactic, especially when he said the craphole countries comment just around then. You enforcing that idea by asking about culture and work ethic was very cringeworthy, which is why many people commented on it. Norway, by all your standards, is a liberal welfare state. The emigrants, from Norway and most countries (Unless they're fleeing political oppression), are of people composing the lower class. In this example, you're seeing the people living off the welfare state in Noway to become immigrants. Your comments on culture and work ethic is the exact response that dog whistling is supposed to get.

Do you believe that Erdogan is someone the US should follow the lead on?
JC, although I agree that anything Turkey does should be met with heavy doses of thinking emojis
We should ignore the "temporary" in temporary protected status because nothing about Hondurans being here from a 1998 Hurricane is at all temporary. I also think that we should work to get refugees from natural disasters back to their home countries more quickly so they can restart their life. But we should do it when the situation is corrected. Unfortunately Honduras has been suffering from wide scale violence and has not properly recovered.
To kick out people living here for 20 years is borderline inhumane. These peoples have families, children who are full US citizens born in this country just like myself and I imagine most posters here. To regard kicking them out of the US as anything resembling a "good thing" is disgusting and shows a total lack of self awareness. For the Trump white house to just stop the program shows an incredible lack of humanity and common sense that is becoming all too routine with this administration. We are breaking up families with no actionable objective to complete. It can't be economic as 50,000 people make up 0.01% of the population.
Food for thought source : There are over 53,000 US born children of Honduran TPS beneficiaries. That means that we'd be splitting up tens of thousands of families. What is the purpose of doing this? Are we being the best stewards we can to our communities and country by doing this? I don't see how it is possible to support an action like this and also claim to support your neighbors.

You would think in 20 years or more they could have filed the paperwork and become citizens the legal way, some still can't speak English after 20 years living here. Where do you draw the line as I've posted other countries are having mass immigration issues. At some point you just have to say enough, how many immigrants are you willing to take in feed. clothe, provide medical be responsible for if the commit a crime?

Well actually, the GOP doesn't want to help feed, clothe, and provide medical care to law abiding American citizens. But will for domestic criminals in our prison systems. We should just deport all criminals.
For every Mexican criminal in our prison system we should deport 20 convicted cons (US citizens) to Mexico for them to incarcerate at their leisure.

Funny you should bring that up. there was a local business owner that came here from Jordan in the 1980's because they said his first marriage from 1984 was not valid. Even though he has been remarried for 29 years, owns a business, has 3 or 4 kids and has been trying to become a citizen for at least 10-15 years the proper way. So what happens, they give him a temporary stay, call him to Cleveland to the ICE office for a routine check-in and then hold him for deportation. Total BS

Got a link to that I'd like to read the entire article Please.
To kick out people living here for 20 years is borderline inhumane.
I think you are being generous by including the word "borderline"...
This is why our policy falls short so many times.. if you are going to have a "temporary" relocation policy for use in emergencies.. then you need to do a couple things..
1. It should have a time limit.. whatever that time limit is, let's say 5 years. 2. You should have 5 years to decide if you want to become a citizen.. and we get through the process.. 3. We should have a process that can be started and completed comfortably within that time frame (assuming there are no real serious issues) 4. If you do not apply for and obtain citizenship by that date, then you have to go home.. it would have been something you agreed to in the first place and I would have a lot less sympathy for you in that case.

Because Temporary Protected Status does NOT provide a path to citizenship. source
I have no problem drawing a line. I think the line should be that people who get renewed enough times for TPS should be automatically granted a pathway to permanent residency. Note I don't mean citizenship. My personal priority is keeping people in the US legally and on the books, not making them full citizens. They can go through the existing pathways for citizenship on a personal basis. But TPS was being renewed every 6-18 months and that's a very temporary way to live if you are a refugee from 1998. And it's not the Hondurans fault. It's the fault of the Federal Government. Unfortunately Trumps answer is to make a bad situation much, MUCH worse by actually encouraging people to stay illegally because they don't want to break up their families.
Put yourself in the shoes of someone who came over here 20 years ago on TPS, and raised a family of US citizens who never lived in Honduras, and now the president says you have to leave in 18 months and go back to Honduras. My viewpoint is that we failed them by putting them in a system that was incomplete from the start, because someone in Congress wouldn't vote on it unless there was no pathway to citizenship/permanent residency.
