Hope Boston is watching, having called out Lebron and all

#1 Seed in name only. They didn't even look like they were trying for most of the fourth quarter.

128-93. Cavs Sweep the #1 seed Raptors. Cue the memes.

Would anyone have predicted that we would be here after being down 2-1 to the Pacers?

The level of play has picked up so dramatically you could make a case this isn’t the same team

A lot of people, here even, said it would be a better match up. I tend to have started to believe them.

I think it all started after they was outright and brutally whipping us, and we came back and stole it from them. Had to of destroyed their mindset right from the get go.

It was pretty bleak at times. Boston's coach is the one we have to worry about coming up. That guy knows his basket ball.

That's hysterical. Brad Stevens vs Bron Bron. Celtics have 0% chance.

I agree. The Boston Celtics are the new Spurs.

Brad Stevens is the new Greg Popovich.

Great game tonight all the way around.. Lebron will get some rest and he didn't have to overexert himself tonight...

This team is really good when Love, Korver, JR, are playing well and making shots... then to get something out of Hood/Clarkson/TT is just a bonus.

Dwayne Casey's philisophical argument to keep his job at his interview after game 4.

If...

1. LeBron James is the best player to ever play the game.

And...

2. LeBron James has played the Raptors in the playoffs the last 3 years.

And...

3. The Raptors lost to LeBron 3 years in a row.

Then...

4. The Raptors should not be expected to win any of those series.

And...

5. It would be illogical to fire me after losing to the GOAT 3 years in a row.

We understand all of that Dwayne.. the question was, how many more years until you force a game 5?

that's a heck of a series IMO. We literally took Toronto's will and confidence

Onto Boston

From Jason Lloyd....

Not everyone seemed concerned with the team aspect, however. Rodney Hood refused to go into the game during the fourth quarter Monday, multiple sources told The Athletic, angering a number of teammates and those within the organization.

When the Cavs called a timeout with a 30-point lead and 7:38 left Monday, Lue tried inserting Hood for James. It was a great opportunity for a struggling youngster to try to find his rhythm without any pressure before the next series. Instead, Hood refused to go in, multiple sources confirmed. A number of veterans huddled around him during the timeout and tried talking sense into him, but Hood still refused to go, so Jose Calderon subbed into the game instead. Hood dressed quickly and was one of the first players out of the locker room after the game.

He didn't play because he earned his spot on the bench. Man up and accept responsibility you big baby. Guys like Calderon and Nance accept their roles as professionals trying to win a championship. Nance isn't happy, but plays his ass off when he gets into the game.

yep, if you don't like how things are going do something about it. Until then, be a good teammate and accept your role.

TT impressed me again tonight. A little more hustle helped his game greatly. Has shown some legitimate offense too. When we get all painted up first, this group can be tough to live with. Don't dress Hood.

George Hill is imperative to this team's success as well

I hope he keeps bringing it next series as well. He's owned Horford the last few times we've seen him in the playoffs. We need him to be at his pre-Kardashian best.

An we cut that guy and bring back Derek Williams? He wasn’t bad off the bench last year. Or someone from D League?

Or even the copilot from Airplane!

can we cut Hood now? if we pick someone up, would they have to be out of the league all year?

We don't have to cut him, just sit him the rest of the way out.

Hopefully we can get something out of him in a sign and trade.

Here's a scary stat: Lebron only shot 16.7% from the three-point line and 57.6% from the foul line in the Toronto series. So, if he progresses back to the mean ...

I just read this article about Hood. I'm thinking this sounds more like a guy who's confidence is completely shot, rather than a guy who's pouting and doesn't want to play if he can't start:

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers swingman Rodney Hood apologized to general manager Koby Altman on Tuesday for declining to enter a 128-93 blowout win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, a team source told ESPN.

Hood "feels awful," according to the source, and he plans to apologize to his teammates and coaching staff in person as soon as they get back together after a couple of days off following a sweep of the Raptors in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

As first reported by The Athletic, Hood refused to check into Game 4 when Cavs coach Tyronn Lue attempted to sub him in during a timeout with 7:38 remaining in the fourth quarter and Cleveland up 110-80.

EDITOR'S PICKS

LeBron: 'Impossible' for me to lose faith in team
LeBron James said he never felt the need to talk to his Cavs teammates about how harshly they were being criticized, choosing instead to "show them how much I trust them and how much I believe in them" with his actions on the court.

NBA playoff MVPs: Who has been the best of the best?
LeBron has been ridiculous, while the contenders out West keep rolling behind their stars. We rank the 10 best postseason players so far.

LeBron, Cavs find their groove in dismantling Raptors
The Cleveland Cavaliers advanced past the Toronto Raptors for the third straight season with a Game 4 home win, completing a second straight sweep on May 7.

While The Athletic reported that several of Hood's teammates were "angered" by his decision and that the organization could consider suspending him, a team source told ESPN on Tuesday that suspending Hood was "not even a thought."

Hood, 25, was acquired from the Utah Jazz in February when the Cavs revamped their roster with a series of trades

Lue said he met with Hood in the days leading up to Game 4 and had a "good talk" about his role on the team.

"Rodney, he could be better. He knows that," Lue said during his pregame remarks Monday. "Just need him to be aggressive."

He didn't mean passive-aggressive, however.

Hood explained to Altman, according to a team source, that
he said something to the effect of, "I'm good, I'm fine, play the other guys," when asked to go in Monday. The Cavs are not viewing Hood's decision as an "act of defiance," the team source told ESPN, and Lue did not take it as a personal slight.

After his trade to the Cavs, Hood averaged 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21 regular-season games. He will be a restricted free agent this summer, and his playoff performance through the first two rounds hasn't helped boost his value on the open market.

Hood was Cleveland's starting 2-guard to open the playoffs against the Indiana Pacers, but the Cavs lost 98-80 in Game 1 and Lue changed up his starting lineup afterward, playing Kyle Korver with the first unit and bringing Hood off the bench. Hood ended up averaging 6.3 points, 1.0 rebound and 1.0 assist in 18.9 minutes per game against Indiana.

His role diminished in the second round against the Raptors, as he averaged just 0.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.0 minutes per game. In Game 4, rookie Cedi Osman leapfrogged Hood's spot in Lue's rotation for the first time this postseason; Osman filled in with five points on 2-for-5 shooting, two rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes.
