I can't wear boots anymore. They are too narrow for my feet, and put pressure on the wrong parts of my feet. I can't even wear socks. It's size 14 or 15 EEEE Reeboks for me. Neuropthy is a *&%$#@%^*&%$!@%

I wear boots almost everyday. My favorite footwear. In Portland these can be used as dress shoes.

I wasn't thinking of boots like that, but it reminds me of when my wife bought me a pair of hiking boots some 20 + years ago.
Just this past season I was getting ready to go deer hunting and she happened to be in my shop when I was getting ready. I put those hiking boots on and she about lost it. "You still have those?"

Boots without Vibram soles are lucky to last 9 months. I walk holes in them. I’m pretty hard on my boots. Merrell’s can take a beating.

Not what I was thinking but they do fit the topic! I figured you were looking for other cowboy boot wearers. I just thought you’d get more responses if I opened it up a little. I use to wear cowboy boots as a kid. Can’t say I’ve had a pair since I was a size 6 or 7. I’m a lace up boots guy. Even in the summer...unless I’m in sandals. Outside of Chuck Taylors back in the early 90’s I can’t say I’ve even worn tennis shoes in the past 30ish years.

From October to end of May I wear boots everyday.....Dr. Martin's.
I've worn them for 20+ years and one pair easily lasts me 2 years (given that I wear them so often that isn't bad). Once I retire a pair I use the most recent used pair for dog walking in the Fall/Spring when it is muddy but not too soggy. I then give my older/older pair to homeless I see on the street.

I have 2 pair.. basic black, basic brown. Had brown ones for more than 20 years, black ones about 17...
I don't wear them quite as much as I used to.. I've toyed with the idea of getting some dressier boots, just never pulled the trigger.

I only have one pair: just to shovel and walk during the winter

I wear work boots regularly. Currently I wear a pair of Carolina Work Boots (Lytning) I'm not a big fan though. I'd go back to Timberland ProTitan Series. My requirements are waterproofing and composite toe (don't like heavyweight steel toe, but I do need protection) My Carolinas are comfortable, but no more comfortable than the Timberlands. In fact, probably less. And they don't seem to have as good of a grip. Considering that I work outside on the steel deck of petroleum tankers, I need good traction. Their only benefit is that they weigh less, but I'll take better traction over a small difference in weight

Petey above: I'll take better traction over a small difference in we Next time you're in the market for a pair of work boots you should keep your eye out for Vibram soles. The best way I can describe these soles is that they're like soft (but very durable). When you step in them, the tread really grips the surface. Even descent on ice. Once you try them. You wont go back.

I wear boots 50% of my life. On the rigs I work on, we are required to wear steel toe, waterproof, skid resistant slip on boots. I have tried about all of them in my 12 years. Doc Martins, Carhardt, Wolverine, Red Wing, etc. The last 2 pair I have bought have actually been Caterpillar brand. Having a big foot (size 15) most of the boots I try have comfort problems, problems getting them on and off, and numerous others. But these Caterpillar have soft comfortable lining, and have lasted me almost 2 years now.

I work on tankers, but it's similar, except I prefer a composite or lighter safety toe. Just not steel. Steel's too heavy to walk around in all day

I wear them 12 hours a day, and they are not heavy at all! The ones I currently am wearing have a thick yellow cloth lining that is comfortable but not too hard to slip off. I have looked into buying another pair just like it, but it looks like these exact ones have been discontinued. But this one seems to be pretty similar. They tend to actually run big (I wear a size 15 in Nike's and other non-boots) but have a 14 in these. https://www.catfootwear.com/US/en/flexion-grist-waterproof-steel-toe-work-boot/15754M.html

I've always wanted a pair but can't find any near me to even try on. I'm from the Northeast, and it just doesn't seem to be our thing. Most stores I check out are all lace up. So, I'm always nervous about purchasing because it's over the internet. I've always wanted the slip on move though. Much faster than having to tie the boots, and you don't have to worry about tripping over laces. I wake up about 10 minutes before watch, and so slip on helps me make it out there on time.
