I see it a little different. From my point of view he's ran a "family business". Where there have really been no constraints on him or accountability on his actions or words. He's pretty much been able to say what he wants and do what he wants and those surrounding him have been little more than yes men.
I understood the idea of wanting a "businessman" to run the country. But a businessman coming from a corporate structure made a lot more sense. They have a board overseeing their decisions and have some accountability that surrounds the corporate structure. That hasn't been the case with Trump.
To me, now that he's being put under the microscope, it's driving him crazy that things he used to be able to get away with aren't working so well for him. It's now left to his handlers to try to cover and lie to try and keep the ship afloat and lessen the impact of his miscues.
I'm not a big fan of political correctness. But there are miles that separate not being politically correct and just being an azz hat. People often try to use the excuse of not being politically correct to excuse being an azz hat.

Would you consider it fake news if it's willfully misleading? Depends. If the title is misleading but the actual content is factual, I'll easily be able to discern that the header was provocative 'click bait.' So in that instance, not fake news. If however, the actual content of the report was false, you bet I would. How can you determine if the content is factual if you don't bother to read the content? From you earlier in this thread: I agree that the title should reflect the content. But it's only 'fake news' if the details are incorrect or made up.
For the record, I didn't bother reading the article. It's yet another rehash of the same kind of stuff he says all the time. I agree that the title should reflect the content. Italicized for clarity...you didn't actual READ it, but you were ok with it because it said what you wanted to hear. That title couldn't be more deceptive given the context of what he said.

No that's not what I meant. I'd say mocking a disabled person, a personal attack on a Gold star family, saying he "likes heroes that haven't been captured" when speaking of John McCain, saying Megan Kelly was bleeding from her "whatever" and his "grab them by the puzzy" remarks will do for starters.

you didn't actual READ it, but you were ok with it because it said what you wanted to hear. I didn't read the article because I'd already heard the excerpt, and knew that the article was bs. Trump's reference was clearly aimed at MS13, so there was no point in reading someone's spin about what he said. But thanks for assuming my motivations.

I said they were an American gang. That's all I said. No need to lie but then that's all you can do to make most of your points.
And can you tell me how MS-13 is any worse than other violent gangs like the Crips and Bloods? I guess they are suddenly stand up guys since ya'll have decided to exclude them from the conversation these days. lmao

jc.
so, if he's calling MS 13 and other illegal immigrants who are part of cartels animals, then i dunno how many people would really disagree with that.
here's the problem....why couldn't he just say that the first time?
this a recurring problem with Trump. he says something stupidly vague, then him and his cult followers are trying to walk back the comments and do damage control saying "no no, this is what he REALLY meant".
at some point, trump supporters have to realize that trump himself is responsible for most of the crap that comes his way.

Hilarious watching you trying to back down from crying over the poor poor MS13 butchers being called animals. Remember the time that comedian kid made a joke on Twitter about how on a certain date MS-13 and ANTIFA were going to behead "small business owners" and "white parents", and you thought it was real and got all scared? You actually made a thread about it and kept posting things all day like "I'm monitoring it now, nothing happening so far".

IMO we either have a gang problem or we don't. BTW- How many members of MS-13 are illegals and how many are not? Just something else for you to ponder...... DOJ estimates there were about 10,000 MS-13 members spread throughout the country as of last month, representing about 1 percent of the total number of criminally active gang members nationwide (a category that includes “violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs,” according to the FBI).Jan 31, 2018 Why is it that Trump and his minions make such an issue out of one gang that only equals 1% of all gang members nationwide?

Again...the heart of the issue is that they (MS-13) are generally considered/found to be illegals...or people that somehow made the cut to come on in. Other gang members are generally considered/found to be citizens. They are a problem, but not part of the immigration argument.

So you guys cry about calling them animals while you are speaking in support of modern day Slavers. I have now seen it all. I shake my head in disbelief.

What % of the total murders committed by gang does ms-13 commit? ... U wanna make a RELEVANT POINT ... get back to me on that one, then we can talk ... Ask the folks from Long Island or Williams County in Maryland how they feel about Trump targeting ms-13 ... Ms - 13 is by far the most violent in their methods ... they dismember people ... take their hearts out ... torture them before death ... boys/girls ... men/women don’t matter to them .. Their motto is something like ... RAPE, ROB, KILL ... I can’t believe your attacking Mr. President for going after them ... im suprised ...

all organized crime should be treated as terrorism and then promptly be exterminated.

I'm saying that if you're going to make gangs an issue, which I think it most certainly should be an issue, target gangs, not "a gang". What I'm surprised by is that you think one certain gang should be a target and not all gangs. Maybe it's because that gang is what you consider to be Mexican and other gangs are not. I guess human trafficking, drug dealing and murder aren't as serious when Americans do it, I don't know.

Actually 4 or 5 of the top 10 largest, most violent gangs in America are primarily Latin American, and comprised largely of illegals.. MS13 is just the face of a much bigger problem... And yes, those things are equally serious when Americans do them.... point is, we have enough problems to deal with, why should we allow other countries to send THEIR problems to us? If you are the parent of a child with violence and drug issues, you do your best to help your child... you don't go adopt 2 more kids with violence and drug issues and invite them into your home.

I really don't disagree with your premise, but using a dog whistle by not addressing all gangs is a cop out to the real, overall problem.

Ya thats it ... ... Your as bad as PDF and Perfect at this point .. seriously ... Where did i say the other gangs shouldn’t be targeted ... my only response was to prove that the stat u showed was BS for the point that we shouldn’t be targeting ms-13 cause there only 1% of the gang population ... why do u think i asked the question i did ... it had a purpose other than a BS agenda like u have ... DIG IN PIT regardless of how full of crap u are ... Oh wait ... its that 1 + 1 = 2 thing again ... u had no clue why i asked ONE PARTICUALR QUESTION in response to your meaningless stat ... And then u join right in with your buds and call me a racist for no reason what so ever ... your leftie pals will be awfully proud of u ... i thought u were better than that ... i’m Wrong again ...

Y'all are really starting to wear out this notion of a "dog whistle"... it doesn't apply here. We can address all gangs, awesome.. it's like my house, I have a plan for addressing criminals once they are inside... I also have measures in place to prevent criminals from ever getting inside.. that's the difference. We can address all gangs already here... while at the same time, trying to prevent potential gang members from coming across the boarder and joining gangs.. MS13 is one of the popular destinations from criminal element coming across the boarder... unless you think the latinos are racing across to join the Aryan Brotherhood.. if they are, then we should stop that too.

Both you and DC seem to be missing one important point. I support the border wall. I support doing all we can to prevent illegal immigrants from entering our country. But what you also seem to be missing is that's really not the issue here. While I do promote keeping illegals out, I also do NOT support using fear tactics and focusing on a tiny minority of those illegal aliens who are terrible people to further my agenda.
So yeah Diam, I'm that terrible liberal that wants illegals streaming over our borders. Even you and your first grade math knows better than that.
But what I'm not going to do is listen to some buffoon in the White House using some basic math fear tactics to paint a broad brush over those entering our nation illegally. But when you promote that people stick to 1+1=2 and never think beyond that, we get to the kind of logic that's gotten us to where we are today.
