I actually posted this thread as an experiment. I made zero comments about the article or the subject included in the article. Since posting it I've watched the media and this board go totally nuts! lmao
On a personal note, I could care less what Rosanne, Bill Maher, Phil Robertson, Tim Allan or any other celebrity has to say or which party/politicians they support. I've actually watched all of their shows. The shtick got old with Duck Dynasty over time. I mean how many ways can you show idiots making duck calls and duck hunting? lol
I've also seen both sides of this debate punish people due to their politics or what they have said. Many of the same people who are sticking up for Rosanne were very upset when she grabbed her crotch and spit while singing the National Anthem...
..... And now many of those very same people are standing up for her based on her support for Trump. Oh how the times change. lmao
I also saw country radio black ball The Dixie Chicks strictly based on comments they made about George Bush. So let's not pretend that this only happens in one direction because it doesn't.
I just wanted to see how quickly this would all erode. I wanted to see how quickly the same side of the aisle that seemed to despise Roseanne on her "disrespect of the national anthem" would do a complete 180 and come to her defense now.

Couldn't agree more. White folks aren't normally called Apes by any other race but racist white folks have been calling black people apes since I can remember (I'm 40) and I'm sure it started way before then.

No, they don't.. up until now both have been smart enough to avoid such a mistake... instead they just fan the flames of anger and hatred and distrust.. getting their more rabid viewers worked into a lather.. then they sit back and watch what happens and it provides them with the foundation for future shows where they do it again in a never ending spiral of greater anger, hatred, and distrust... but they make a boat load of money doing it and many of us are their willing subjects..
