Kevin Hart slammed by Kathy Griffin for not attacking Trump

Kathy Griffin is calling out fellow comedian Kevin Hart for not going after President Donald Trump during his standup shows.

Griffin said she has a problem with Hart not using his status as an African-American comedian to incorporate political themes into his routine.

“And look, if you want to not hear about Trump at all, go see Kevin Hart,” the comedian said in a USA Today interview. “I personally think that’s a (expletive) move because he’s a black man. But I guess he’s selling more tickets than I ever will.”

Maslansky & Partners’ Lee Carter said its “preposterous” to suggest someone has to think a certain way because of their race or gender.

I'm not a big fan of Trump either, but who is Kathy Griffin to tell other people what to say/think?

unlike Griffin, Hart has an actual career that both liberals and conservatives enjoy.

I firmly believe that a person's 1A rights extend to NOT talking about subjects, as well.

I daily slam TH out of that fat fake fool out of choice. My 1A affords me that right. I won't slam someone else for making a choice of abstinence. (We all have the 5A right to remain silent, after all...)

That said, if he ever wants to join in, I'll gladly shove Kathy Griffin aside to give a brotha some room.

Don't lump liberals in with Griffin.

From the comments by the board liberals here, you can clearly see that we do NOT think Hart has to talk about politics or Trump if he doesn't want to.

And frankly, I prefer him not to! When I go to see a comedian, or watch their movies, I want an escape from our political reality. So thank you Kevin Hart for giving me that escape. He's comedic gold in Secret Life of Pets (Yes I have kids).

I just want to laugh and enjoy life sometimes, instead of thinking about the person or party that makes me sick to my stomach, and the people who voted for him that I detest.

What Griffin fails to understand is that those who just bash (from either side) day after day after day.. get tuned out by anybody who probably needs to hear it. I don't watch late night TV for that reason, I don't watch a lot of shows for that reason... it gets old. It becomes preaching to the choir as these folks stand on stage, or in front of the camera, and bash somebody to an audience they know will laugh and cheer. Contrary to what Griffin thinks, that does absolutely NOTHING to further the debate or bring about actual change.

Doesn't bother me the slightest bit.
