Has anyone noticed Trump has been promised the remains of any US soldiers killed in the Korean war after the Korean talks. Its true and Trump is fulfilling a campaign promise to thousands parents he met who want their sons remains from the Korean war to be returned.

Yes, this is great. For decades I guess the North Koreans would not even discuss this and now they are beginning to gather up remains. Trump said NK has actually kept track of where the soldiers are buried.

Trump said this morning there are something like 7,020 coming home.

My Dad fought in Korea and he said it was brutal.
My good friends Dad was in Artillery and told the story of the Chinese coming in such waves that we had our cannons level and fired directly into their ranks. He said the tires were flat and torn to shreds on his cannons from their own shrapnel coming back at them. They survived by tucking behind those metal flanges that stick out from the sides.

Actually there will be very few, likely no, grateful parents. Grateful children and grandchildren yes. But the math proves it out. Anyone that faught in the Korean War would have been at least 18. We pulled American troops in ‘54. So even if an 18 year old soldier went to Korea late in 1954 and died...1954-18= 1936 birthyear. So now that soldier’s parents had to be of reproductive age. We’ll say they got preggers early and had the soldier at 17. 1936-17=1919 birthyear. Meaning those folks would be 99 or 100 at the absolute youngest. More likely 100-103 years old. I doubt many, if any are still alive.
That said. Hopefully the remains come home, regardless of who is alive to receive them.

Facts are so over rated these days. But yeah its a good gesture to return the remains. I'm now wondering if SK has returned or plan to return remains of NK soldiers as well to NK

Hundreds of North Korean soldiers remain interred at a special cemetery plot in Paju, just south of the heavily fortified border with North Korea, but Pyongyang has ignored Seoul's offers to return them despite sporadic talks on the issue.

Chinese remains have been returned home since a 2013 agreement.

Thousands? Did you say THOUSANDS? Really?

This isn't exact because women can have babies pretty young,.,

But, 18 years old when she has a baby.

Baby can't join the Military until he's 18

That makes mom 36 years old when the kid gets into the military.

Korean War ran from 1950 to 1953 roughly...

It ended rought 65 years ago

Now add that age to the 36 years that mom was probably alive and you get 101 years old.

So what this guy is saying is that he's met with Thousand of 101 year old parents or just people that want remains back.

101 years old and the very least...

It's just math That's all it is,,, Just math.., and it doesn't work.. Trump lied again

Anyone with a brain wouldn't make a big deal out of that, he looked like he didn't know what the right thing to do was.. Not a big deal that he saluted that guy.

Everybody discovered America. Ice age Europeans were probably first, as the oldest artifacts found are from them. Asians, eurasians, and other Europeans followed. The Phoenicians supposedly were here for copper during the bronze age, and a tribe of Israelites supposedly came here. Follow that up with the vikings, irish, welsh, polyponesians, chinese, japanese, templars, and others before columbus.

I was pretty mad about this until I realized he was returning a salute. That was actually the proper thing to do.

(I hope this doesn't cause any Trump supporters on here to have a stroke)

Getting the hostages and remains were good things. I look at the joint operation drills as something we're probably pretty adept at at this point, but praising Kim who is at best a murderous tyrant crosses a line. Praising him while attacking the leaders of our oldest allies was disgusting.

I don't give Obama much credit either, but you are right Diam, Trump could learn from him. Obama was at least poised and carried the office with a degree of dignity.
