strange turn once again ... sad situation regardless of the outcome
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yeah, I assumed this guy was dead to rights, now this has turned into comedy hour. Winslow's attorneys are smart, show up looking like a choir boy... glasses are a nice touch. Three weeks ago he looked like a bum. I'm starting to wonder if the victims have discussed a payoff or had something slipped into their water when they entered the courtroom.
What a poopshow!

What a poopshow! I remember they gave Cleveland serial killer Anthony Sowell glasses too, for court. Gotta clean up that appearance! A girl I used to work with said, "Now he looks like a college student!" (Okay, a somewhat older college student.) At least for him it didn't work. Too much obvious evidence.

I am not really defending Winslow, but perhaps there is a chance that it really wasn't him? I know some people just love seeing someone larger than them fall, but I think it's preferable to rely on the court of law rather than public opinion.
To clarify..........I don't know if Winslow is guilty or not. Then again, neither do you guys.

Apparently at least 3 of the accusers couldn't identify him - 1 of them, to my understanding the only one that testified, actually identified one of his attorneys as the guy that assaulted her.

Honestly, how does this story get even more twisted? https://sports.yahoo.com/kellen-winslow-...-231002706.htmlSo now he's accused of raping an unconscious 17 year old, back in 2003? Dang. Where there's smoke, and you let it go, there's usually going to be fire. His other rape and assault charges......the victims couldn't or wouldn't i.d. him. But now this? What the hell?

In this day and age and from my life's experiences? I have found it is foolish to always give people the benefit of the doubt. His drastic change in his appearance was a good idea but also a clue, me thinks. If he did what he was accused of he should play it smart and plea-bargain, if it is offered to him. And if he did what he is accused of and doesn't take any offered plea bargain and is found guilty? It will be because of his own arrogance. Nonetheless, interesting case.

I suppose that if I were a lawyer, I would suggest to my client that he shaves his head, if he has a full head of hair, and either grow a beard, or shave it off if he had one at the time of the event that put him on trial. I would want him looking as different as possible. Either gain or lose weight, stoop, practice walking with a slight limp ...... etc.
If you can put any doubt in the accuser's mind, you can put doubt in the jury's mind.
All of that said, if he really did rape an unconscious 17 year old ..... Ugh. That's revolting.
However, I worry about a man being accused of rape a decade after the fact. How can he defend himself? What evidence can he present in his own defense?
I guess all I can say is that if he did it, I hope he goes to prison. If he did not do it, then I hope he goes free.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Don't encourage anyone to grow a beard or shave their head while on trial. Juries will see that and think that he is a criminal, because he looks like every prisoner they've seen on TV.
Hot take: If KW2 was wearing glasses he wouldn't have wrecked his motorcycle and his NFL career.

Hot Take: Funny how a much despised ex-Brown is automatically guilty, while woman beater LeSean is somehow innocent.
(I think they're both guilty, but it's an interesting board trend.)

Phil Dawson was an unreal kicker in 2007 Duke Johnson helped me win 5 games this year. Of course he wasn't starting when I won my fantasy title. Still thankful for all those garbage time stats.

I'll never bad-mouth KW2 for his time as a Brown, he played hard when he was on the field and had that great 2007 season.
He never ran his mouth about Cleveland after he left iirc. I hope this isn't true, for his sake. If it is true, 40 or 60 years in prison sounds about right.

I trust others until I can't. That has hurt me a few times, it has cost me some "stuff" i regret losing. But I feel better about me rather than knee-jerk reactions to reject others.
Might be dumb naivete, but OK for the most part.

I agree. If it's true. However, I think we should wait until the trial plays out before we convict him. I am a strong believer in due process.
I really hope no one twists that around as me saying I am supporting Winslow. I just think each person deserves a fair trial before we publicly convict him.
Oh, and Swish...........I know you said "if it's true." My comment was more of a general comment than directly to you.

I never understood people with tons of fame and money going to a prostitute. A lot of these guys could get girls without much trouble at all, especially with a famous name like "Kellen Winslow".

Exactly. For them they’re trying to pay for anonymity, and for the girl to leave before the sun comes up. Where as if you go pick up a typical girl at the club and invite her back to your place you have to deal with her, her Facebook account, her Instagram, her blog, and her generally running her mouth and or possibly accusing you of wrong doing in exchange for a payout. Instead you pay upfront and she goes home, or back to the street, when your ‘transaction’ is over.
