Korver was highly useless against GS .. and will be even more so without LBJ. Our style is going to change now and KK is obsolete.
It's not like Bayless is a great player, but probably a better/younger athlete for a rotation
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Well, we do have to get into the "bottom 10" if we want to keep our draft pick, so there's that.

I think we'd get a young player, pick, or some other asset in that trade. Plus, as others have said, our first round pick doesn't convey if it falls in the top 10, so that will influence the moves made for the foreseeable future. Bottom line, the Cavs have to rebuild for a while.

Marc Stein @TheSteinLine A trade sending Cleveland's Kyle Korver to Philadelphia in exchange for Jerryd Bayless is "possible" but also "far from certain," according to one league source briefed on the talks. What would be the point of that trade for the Cavaliers? Salary dump. ???? Bayless is due $8.75 million this year. Korver is due $7.56 million next year, and has only #3.6 million guaranteed next year. (If waived by 7/7/19) That's a difference of $2.4 million to trade away a useful player for a player who is probably not going to help much at all. Right, they will not salary tied up beyond this season. My guess is the Cavs would get some sort of protected second round pick as well.

It would be fun to see J.J. Redick and Kyle Korver on the same team.

It's not like Bayless is a great player, but probably a better/younger athlete for a rotation Korver can shoot. There is always room for guys like him on a roster. This would be a dumb trade, but I can't say I'm surprised.

So, as of now our starters would be ... ?
Sexton Smith Love Thompson Ossman
?

Korver's greatest value is to a contender at the deadline. This trade looks "dumb", for lack of a better word.
