If trump really said that, then it shows why red tillerson was right.

Exciting? This ain’t the freaking apprentice. He’s like watching a real life president Comancho.

I've noticed, in the absence of original thought you have decided to simply quote Trump all over the place. Definitely leaning towards the unhinged.

Of course, Red Tillerson was the rhythm guitarist for an obscure country artist from Kentucky or somewhere.

Now Rex Tillerson might have some input on the current topic.

What's sad is that there was actually intelligent and thoughtful conversation going on and then Vambo hijacks another thread.

Beating woman is a horrid crime. However, people in all professions and walks of life have been guilty of that crime. Doctors, teachers, attorneys, electricians, law enforcement personnel, custodial workers, engineers, retailers, investment brokers, etc, etc. You can't just say that football players are guilty of it.

And does Vambo have proof that all the guys who are kneeling are women beaters? I'd love to see that link.

I am not in favor of these guys kneeling during the anthem, but man, play fair!!!

Another good post, mike. I'm sorry that your quality posts that are filled w/insight, logic, and fairness are being lost because a couple of guys are trying to hijack the thread.

Just know that I do appreciate guys who can converse like you.

Once again you LIE no where did I state all kneelers are women beaters, play fair!!!

They dodged bombs to preserve peace, not only in America, but for the world. They had to dodge n bombs coming home.

I’m not backing down on this one, I’ll kneel with the players.

The players that kneel are despicable human beings. I have a a simple formula. If a player kneels at a game. I turn it off and watch something else. I will not support people who disrespect those that protect and serve. I would like them thrown out of the NFL.

This is a contradictory statement.

Will you please provide links that show the players that are protesting oppression are beating their women?

You can't. Thus, you are resorting to deceitful tactics to win a stupid argument.

Your tactics actually make me want to support the guys who are kneeling.

Why are they despicable? I've never understood this mantra to American exceptionalism. It's like God Bless America: God has better things to do than pick which country he likes more. And what makes us so sure it's America anyway?

The kneeling is working by keeping people talking about it, even if we aren't seeing it the same way. That's why it's better than doing it in the off-season etc.

They've made it clear that has nothing to do with any of this. If you choose to ignore that, well that's up to you. I'm not a fan of it myself, but I do understand their message. What you're describing isn't it.

No offense, but I don't think it's working. I think people have been talking about these issues for awhile and the current president's views would certainly cause people to talk about oppression of minorities.

I think that kneeling for the anthem while at the work place actually is causing more of a divide than helping the cause.

The cause is fine. The strategy is misguided, in my opinion.

The first time I was ever aware of sprts figures protesting political issues was Mexico Olympics, 1968. The response was exactly the same 50 years ago... and from the exact same demographic.

No surprises here.

You missed the point if any NFL player beats his wife/girlfriend and NFL players protest they are protesting NFL players. I did not say, print, assume or pretend all who protest beat their wives/ girlfriends. Once again you are trying to twist a post into something it's not and that's deceitful tactic. willynilly If you want that information feel free to Google it, I did not say all and if you want to know which ones are try looking it up.

I could care less who a deceitful person as you takes sides with. notallthere

Are you with them because you actually believe in their cause or because they are black?

Why do the protests only happen during the NFL season and only during the National Anthem?

The question was asked before where are all the protests during the off season. Now would be the time to organize the players to come together and form a protest such as the Pink Hat ladies had done in several cities at the same time. They could all wear their jerseys and have a rally each could make a speech of their own story of oppression.

I just don't see consistent passion of their protest it fizzle out during the off season and if were not for Trump it may have disappeared already.

Okay, he kicked my butt. LOL..........so what.

What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.

Btw, I do not support the players kneeling during the anthem. Did you somehow miss that? What I am not a fan of is how he started posting all that crap about NFL players beating women and how he connected that to kneeling for the anthem.

That is PURE BS!!!! And I am not surprised that you approve of that tactic.

Vambo trashes blacks because he’s secretly loves black women.

I think the difference is that all the protests against breast cancer raise not only awareness, but money. I might be wrong, but I always thought that those events like the Race for the Cure and whatnot had some of the profits go towards research.

So, in that regard, I think it would be a good opportunity for the players and anyone else to build on the Anthem kneeling protests, and arrange some additional protests/events for fundraising to help their cause, or perhaps help victims of police brutality.

I for one, would happily participate in a 5k for that cause.

well, there's already foundations to donate to.

there's already plenty of marches and protest well before the nfl players decided to make a stand.

but the common rhetoric i keep hearing is "where is this, where is that"

its all there, people just dont want to look for it.

and the difference between breast cancer protest and what the nfl players are doing is that what the nfl players are doing isn't a money problem. its a legislation problem.

Keep them all in the locker room. Problem solved.

You're at work, if I started professing my political beliefs at work, I am certain my job wouldn't like it if I was bringing negative attention.

You're at work, grow up, protest on your own time.

To clarify, I don't really care if they protest it's absolutely your right.....but don't cry when you're out of a job....but of course you will.

"I deliberately and willfully brought negative press and attention to my employer"......"it's collusion and discrimination, I don't have a job"

prior to this, there was no rule stating the players must stand for the national anthem.

before 2009, there was no rule for the players to be out there to begin with.

also, your job doesn't play the national anthem before you clock in, so there's no way for you to protest the anthem at your place of work, which kinda makes your point irrelevant.

additionally, "protest on your own time" makes no sense. protest isn't supposed to be done at BpG's convenience. if it was, you wouldn't pay attention.

which is the entire point of protest, to pay attention.

Kneeling during the national anthem, is a cheap and easy “show of concern” for social injustice.

NFL players don’t give a rat’s ass about social injustice..

I’d be impressed to see NFL players work against social injustice on their own time.
