I was invited into a fantasy football league. I will go into details if anyone is interested, but for now let me ask a question.
My team has 3 QBs, and I see no need for more than 2. With Cousins as my #1, I need to decide who to drop between Matt Ryan, or Marcus Mariota. Ryan is the more proven, but has been inconsistent over the last 3 years. Mariota hasn't been as good, but has improved from year 1 to year 2, and is entering year 3 when he might blossom into a top tier QB...or not.
Should I stick with the experienced Matty Ice as my backup QB or gamble in the emerging(?) talent of Mariota?

Ryan has MVP potential with all of those weapons. Mariotta I like a lot but he threw more INT's than TD's last year. I think the choice is clear and I'd argue Ryan is probably your starter, not Cousins.

Ryan would be number 1 to start. Cousins has no familiarity with this new team. Ryan has a great offense, and has been in that system his whole career. No way is Ryan not my starter out of these 3.

I'd take Matt Ryan, but to play Devil's Advocate.
Mariota's OC last year was Terry Robiski, who is a horrible offensive coach. Mularkey wasn't great either. There idea of strategy was putting 8 offensive linemen in the game and running the ball. Mariota will get a lot more looks out of the RPO this season. Matt Ryan's OC, Steve Sarkisean, had a horrible season last year where he dismembered Kyle Shannahan's playbook and focused on Sark's own style. Where that will lead in year 2 is anyone's guess.

I thought the goal there was to just tweak the system, not change it out. I might be wrong.

I pretty much know nothing about the Titans besides, Vrabel has always been very eclectic, even back to his playing days at OSU. The Titans OC is the former Rams' OC or QB coach. To me that tells me they'll be using the RPO a lot. And thank God. the RPO is like free yards. When an offense can turn a game of football back into an 11 on 11 sport, they'll always be dominate.

I would take Cousins and Ryan. I don't think it's a close call. In fact, I think there are weeks you will want to start Matt Ryan.

Keep Ryan.
Sounds like a keeper league. You can always draft Mariotta again. You probably can't Ryan unless you burn a high pick on a 3rd qb..
To be honest I would consider Ryan my 1st QB over Cousins in most weeks.

or, option C...
Figure out if you can hang onto all three for now, and later in the year when injuries set in, take someone for all their worth that desperate for a QB.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I'd agree w/others and keep Ryan ... those weapons are very GOOD
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
