I’m loving all the peeps that participated and posted there results. Some surprising, some expected results.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Oh man, I'd love to have read that explanation. I know we've gone at it over the years but I like seeing your username come up on the screen as I scroll through
I could tell you how that came to be... and why I'm ok with it.. I explained it to Swish in a lengthy PM... but I doubt you would listen so... nah.
That is interesting as some of us have discussed it in PM for many years now, your slide to the Left that is. Some said you were a fake conservative right from the start but I thought you were fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Is what it is.

I had a feeling there was a granny gossip brigade around here. And I'm not a bit surprised you're right up in the middle of it. I have more suspects and I'd bet I'm right about most of them as well. lmao
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I probably am more fiscally conservative than the results of this would indicate..
As for me socially, there is the answer that I personally believe in.. then there is how I think the government should work.. unlike some people, those aren't always the same..
As a real quick example, if it were up to me, I would love to see prostitution, drugs, and abortion eradicated forever... from a political standpoint I had to check that I think they should all be legal (not harder drugs but this isn't the place for that debate)... so though my personal opinion on them is very conservative, my limited government, let folks make their own decisions about their own life outweighs it..
I honestly thought I would come up more centrist libertarian.... and I could take it again in a month, be as honest as possible, and it could shift more conservative..
If you want to wonder if I was faking or shifting.. I took one of these about 8 years ago and it said I should be in the Constitution Party (which I didn't know much about)... go look that one up.
I also told Swish that there is probably some "Trump effect" in there too... I don't like the guy, I've made no secret of that.. I hope for the best but on a personal level, I don't like him or those who blindly follow him.. I think that may have moved some of my answers to the left just a smidgen... Wouldn't surprise me at all if Bernie was in office if my answers wouldn't be much farther right...
p.s. With at least 23% of the questions, I felt I needed qualifiers that didn't come with the query. ex Do you believe that strong leadership is necessary?
A: define "strong" first, then I might have an answer. Lots of questions hit me like that.

Though, I'm pretty happy where I am.. in the middle.. if the country swings right, I'll swing a little left to try to balance it... if it swings back left, I'll swing a little right...
Me and Charlotte Johnson.. we'll be here just a swingin'....

clwb419 and I felt the same way. I think some others did, too.
That is why I have always been uncomfortable taking surveys. My logical/analytical mind demands that I ask clarifying questions and I get very frustrated by questions that can have several interpretations.
I think anyone who honestly and thoughtfully takes this survey answers "Don't know" for the majority of the questions.
Out of the 70 questions, I probably answered "I don't know" maybe 55 times.
Not surprisingly, my final scores were all middle-of-the-road: "centrist, balanced, moderate".
Except the category "Civil Axis"
For some reason my 47.7% "Liberty" and 52.3% "Authority" scores got me a "Moderate" rating in this category.
I suppose that's about right for me.
I'd love to talk about specific situations. But I'll save that for specific threads on the specific topics.
I answered "neutral" many times because many of the questions to board based. I'd have to ask questions on each to come to a final decision. Many were too complex for a simple yeas or no.
If you aren't asking questions in your mind, you are't giving the question presented appropriate thought.
JMO
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Well I retook the test just one time to see if a different day would yield different results. I just answered as honestly as I could and only answered Neutral 3-5 times at most. Anyways here are the new results a new day brings.
Christian Democracy
Equality 64% ............... Markets 36.0% Nation 60.1% ............... World 39.9% Liberty 37.3% .............. Authority 62.7% Tradition 58.1% ............ Progress 41.9%
Obviously I have some strong opinions cause my ship likes to roll baby!
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
