he's like the hot chick that is out of your league, but every few months flirts with you, gets your hopes up ... and then disappears

You know better than to bite the bait, but you can't resist

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Heh. Yeah, I getcha. There is always going to be some flammage in any webforum, no matter how well mannered and moderated.

But the tone in DawgTalkers is definitely much better than the OBR. Over there, one could easily find a dozen or so 5-digit post count people who often had something really worthwhile or funny to say - really good posters - but who also liked to flame and troll for their own amusement. You add them to the usual assortment of penny ante flamers and trolls, and the place was a mess.

I'll skip all the other problems with that forum. If the moderators enforced the posting guidelines, it would be better. But the time to get away with strictly enforcing the rules was many years ago. Nowadays, the culture is too deeply embedded and resistant to the formal rules. Customs trump laws.

It really is better over here. Enjoy this forum folks. Good spot.

yeah, this is a more organized/focused forum IMO. People are more respectful and "serious"
