It was also kinda weird to hear the name "Beebe" .... and to find out that it is Don Beebe's kid.

Man I'm getting old.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'd also add that Paxton Lynch is the definition of a bust

Kelly came with a bunch of baggage mostly based on immaturity.

But in watching him in college you could see the talent.

He will be interesting to follow.

I thought Chad was Jim Kelly's Nephew. Jim's brother Kevin is his father.

Saw this article this morning and found it interesting.

The runner that I liked the most behind Barkley was Kerryon Johnson.

This is what they are saying in Detroit:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...-lions-run-game

My comparison in the draft analysis that Vers started on RB's for Kerryon was Leroy Kelly.
=========================================================

"Vers, I like this guy.

He looks like the second best runner I have seen.

Reminds of: Get this: Leroy Kelly.

Long strider, great balance, and really good cutting ability. Shows excellent vision and balance.

Knows how and when to apply power.

I am a huge believer in Barkley. I really believe he is difference maker. I want him bad. But if that doesn't happen I like Johnson."
========================================================

Interesting to see him doing so well.

I ended up ranking Kerryon and Penny as pretty much tied as the second best back after Barkley. I think I had Michel 4th. I believe I had Chubb 7th.

I thought Penny was tailor made for the Browns and the AFC Norris.

Yeah, but Seattle snagged him in the first round. We did pass on Kerryon Johnson and took Chubb instead.

Supposedly we were trying to trade back into the first round to take Penny, but the Seahawks took him.

I think I heard about it on a podcast, there's also this:

Quote:
Browns LOVED Penny. Would have probably taken him at 33. But now he’s a Seahawk.

I thought there were plenty of reports on draft night that we wanted him ... from a lot of our beat writers
