absolutely crazy game - Steelers vs Packers... 1 costly turnover for each side. 14-14 not even 1/2 way through the first quarter.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

How was that not a helmet-to-helmet penalty by 59 on Colt? Sheesh!

horrible, 5-12, 1 TD 1 INT 47 yards total. he got sacked at least once. Green Bay 1st team defense was on the field for quite a bit, but Mason really looked bad. He has a lot to learn.

and now Dobbs with a pick 6 - just like Mason Rudolph. Landry Jones job as backup QB is definitely safe.

Im hard pressed to see much of a difference between Baker and Darnold. And I kinda like Darnold size better, makes me wonder. Time will tell. I was really big on Teddy too.

It seems like DeShone Kizer has played well. Kevin Hogan had a game winning drive, I think, too.

I'm bummed I didn't get to see Kizer play.
I was at the bar, and its not a sport bar, so they had NFL Network on, and it was flipping around games, and never got to Kizer while I was there. (I wasn't there long)
But I was hoping.
I'm happy for him that he gets to sit behind greats.

- Washington and Conner look legit for Pittsburgh - Jets QB situation is tough to call: Teddy and Darnold look effective to me - NE is like a bunch of robots ... Brady is incredible

Sam Darnold 8 completions for 62 yards, same story as last week. I'm waiting to see this guy threaten a defense with something besides checkdowns and screen passes.

It sure is taking forever ... ... Darnolds a lot younger than Baker ... he’s 20 or 21 ... Bakers 24 or 25 ... He also hasn’t been a QB for near as long ... I wanted him ... but he is going to take longer to develop than any of the other guys cause they all have more experience and are older than him ... Darnold’s a pup in terms of years playing the position and he’s really young as it is ... I looked it up ... he just turned 21 in June ... he didn’t start playing QB til his junior year in HS where he only played 3 games and then hurt his feet .... so he’s been a starting QB for his sr. In HS and then he started in the 4th game his red shirt freshman year and then his sophomore year ... So he’s been a full time starter for 2 years and a part time starter for two ... thats in his entire football career ... Baker started more games in college than Darnold has in his life ... *LOL* ... He’s gonna take longer than the others for multiple reasons .... hes a literal pup ...

I actually think he is the most-ready--other than Rosen--of all the rookie qbs. Those two guys were the only qbs that I saw making both pre-snap and post-snap reads last year.
I'm not saying which qbs are going to be the most successful or the least successful. I am simply saying that I saw Darnold and Rosen doing things that you have to do in the NFL, while the other guys were not asked to do those things.

Good point ...
Thanks for sharing .. brings up the broader point that Baker although he was older and had more experience had a long ways to go also in terms of what he was asked to do and the windows he never really threw into much at all .. never taking a snap under center ..
Rosen was clearly the most nfl ready .... STUNNED he lasted to the cards .... steal of the draft if he stays concussion free IMO ....
Then Darnold had the experience problems i talked about and his young age ...
It’ll be real interesting to see how these guys turn out ... there’s MANY MANY young QB’s i’m Looking forward to seeing how they develop ...
Wentz, Watson, Dak, Goff, Mahomes, Mitch and the 4 from this group ... there’s a few more ...

Yeah, I think this is going to be an interesting year in evaluating 4 QBs in particular. They are:
Watson: Can he continue to dazzle? Can he stay healthy? Will NFL defenses catch up w/him? Will he throw a ton of pics?
Jimmy G: Can he continue his mastery of the position? Will he become smarter in regards to taking care of the ball? Can he overcome the lack of talent around him?
Mitch: Will his coaches actually trust him to win games? Can he become a leader? Can he read coverages?
Mahommes: Will his dynamic arm pay enough dividends to make the trading of Smith worthwhile? Can he take care of the ball? Will he be more consistent w/his accuracy? Can he read NFL coverages?

I've been impressed with Darnold. I always wanted him (and still wish we would have him).
