Mason is a standard Big 12 QB. Holding the ball, confused by the complexities of preseason defenses is not a good start. Throwing checkdowns on 3rd and long.
He's a mental project. Physically he looks good, but his field vision is terrible.
Kizer....when he can step back and strike he is lethal. Slants, bang 8 he is a stud. Any sort of complexity or pressure and his awareness and accuracy goes way down.
Notable players already out for the 2018 NFL season due to injury: * Redskins RB Derrius Guice * Chargers TE Hunter Henry * Patriots OL Isaiah Wynn * Titans S Jonathan Cyprien * Vikings OL Nick Easton * Packers LB Jake Ryan * Cardinals C A.Q. Shipley * Chargers CB Jason Verrett
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Probably because it felt like Baker was playing forever at Oklahoma so it seems like he’s been around longer. He was also only the starting QB at his HS his senior year which probably lead to a lack of interest in him for the bigger college programs.
Man, the chiefs could really make some noise with that roster they have on offense.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

I watched the Bears game ... I never wanted Trubisky, but he's looked better than I thought he would
I hope we don't regret passing on him. It would also help if Garrett has a really good year/career

Tennessee is a weird team to me; they have some decent weapons and a good enough QB but i never get the sense they'll contend

I think Mariota is a fools gold QB. Teams ‘waste’ years on guys like him. Tannehill and Dalton are others. They win games but will likely never get over the hump. They’re fellow players career killers. Guys like AJ Green get older... Dalton has wasted what could have been a HOF WR career with a championship level QB. I’m fine with it for other teams. My hope is if Baker is a championship level QB he shows it early. Otherwise we’ll find ourselves 10 years from now with only one playoff win... ala Dalton. Personally I’d rather have trash at the position than a guy like Dalton, Tannehill, or Mariota. At least with trash we can draft for hope. Those guys are likely never going to win it all. Just good enough for hope but no results.
Mariota hasn't lived up to his draft spot, but he's still only 25 and hasn't had a good offensive coordinator. If he doesn't take a big step forward this year, I'll be worried about how good he can be.

His last OC was Terry Robiski. Ugh.
Mariotta, Derrick Henry and Tawan Taylor is a good core to build around.

With Ken Whisenhunt and Mike Mularkey as his head coaches. Not the ideal position to succeed for a QB like him. Matt LaFleur has coached under Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan, and in college, if Mariota doesn't excel with him, then it'll probably never happen.

IMHO, Mariota is on a different league than Dalton and Tannehill, Marcus is IMHO actually a good QB.
I think Mariotta is a great person. I think he is very athletic. I also think he struggles reading coverages. I think he is not worthy of his high draft status.
Lamar is exactly what I thought - a run first QB with poor accuracy, poor pocket presence, and an inability to read Pro defenses. So glad the Cravens drafted him.
