As Freud once said: "Sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar." You can spin this like a top if you want, but please don't think it's going to convince us.
Besides, I've known Daman since the old board days. He's not a Lefty.
Willit: Folks on the Left, folks in the center, folks who don't even care about politics all see this. I don't really think it's us.

Let me pose something to you willit. Rudy has helped change the story on the Russian meeting several times.
Now let me ask you something..... If you ask a child the same question several times and each time that child gives you a different answer, is that child telling you the truth? Now why would that child lie to you? Would it be that the child is trying to hide something good he did or something the child did wrong?
Now maybe Rudy was a liar back then and we just didn't know it. So you may be right.

whats even more hilarious is when my daughters accidentally tell the truth in the mist of trying to sell their lie, and dont even realize it.

I was still in HS when 9/11 happened, and didn't follow politics all that much to be honest then. So I cannot say what he was like back then. All I remember is that the entire nation admired him for how he handled it. After that, or anything n particular, honestly I cant answer. You can try to say that's a cop out, but I am not going to answer something about someone I never really followed. As far as the scenario you pose, an analogy is all good and dandy, but lets be honest, its a talking point. Rudy is a lawyer - as all lawyers when they are speaking I tend to think they are lying. Except for the porn lawyer, because you guys think everything that dude says is right as rain apparently I think, though the point I was trying to make was more generalized than this topic. The left loved Rudy, until the day he said he was switching parties. JFK would be a republican by todays standards, and Bill Clintons views while he was president some on the left would call a facist today. It just goes to show how far left the spectrum has gone.

I think you may be generalizing how people felt about Rudy during 9/11.
I think he handled 9/11 very well. You can admire a man for how he handles one situation yet not be a fan of the man overall. I've seen lots of people do both good and bad things. As with most humans everything isn't black or white.
I do pretty much agree with you about JFK in todays political climate. Although I support the man and not the party so it wouldn't sway how I view him. But is a prime example of how a good Democrat like Jim Webb has zero political capital in the national democratic party.

i dont get why though. he's 74. he's made enough money to retire and be on the beach for the rest of his life. why ruin the reputation. You know how it is, there’s ‘sunlight’, and there’s ‘SPOTLIGHT’.

The laundry room was on full spin cycle tonight. Hannity and the judge waa out there throwing out the classics. The judge went back to the good ole tried and true Benghazi conspiracy.
The opening monologues were top notch tonight. However, one thing I’m struggling to separate when I watch those is, is alex Jones on Fox News? Cause it certainly sounds a lot like infowars once 5pm hits.

I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest. He's an adult who knew what he was signing onto.
Besides, I lost most of the respect I had for him after seeing that speech he made at the RNC in CLE back in 2016. Once a symbol of unity and forebearance, he became a screaming, spittle-flecked fearmonger.
No sympathy. Only ridicule.
So much for 'America's Mayor'... I used to have a warm spot for Rudy..I thought the way he handled 9/11 was about as good as anyone could have. That's a tough spot to be in for sure. But what the hell has happened to him since, I have no idea. He's out of his damn mind. Or maybe hes the same, and the lefties have lost their mind....... All evidence to the contrary... Truth isn't truth... You call that good thinking?

But he strongly says there was no collusion. So we must believe Him. Putin strongly said there was no Russia meddling in the election so Trump believed him. We just need to trust everything Trump says, then everything will be ok. If there was Russian collusion and this is what it looks like than I am all for it! -Increased GDP growth -Increased US economy -Record unemployment -De-regulation -Strong military Hope it happens next election in that case.

IIRC Rudy had some issues just prior to 9/11. He wasn't very popular due to his heavy handed use of law enforcement and I think the general consensus was that people couldn't wait for him to leave office. Then 9/11 happened and his actions really reversed public opinion of him.

He did amazing things for NYC before 911. He cleaned this town up and took down mob control on many things. Sad to see what he is doing now. I dont get it.
