Speaking of Orchard, I thought it was rather telling during the episode when he walked past coach Williams and said "coach, I'm trying". The response was "I know you are man, I know you are."
Maybe Gregg Williams is the scream-in-your-faces as a team type guy but much more civilized on an individual basis. If true, I feel a lot better about the guy.
Yeah probably the case. I've had players and teammates who were like this: really try hard, good attitudes, always try to do the right thing .. but in the end, they just weren't good enough. That's the hardest situation to be in as a coach/teammate IMO ... you love them, but it's not going to help you win.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

He is/was disrupting the QB and making him move around, I see your points there for sure, but he got there more than a few times and picked a bad angle, lost balance and etc. He's a rusher and should know how to finish.
Plus, he's not done much since being drafted. For depth, we may have younger options to hang hope on/acquire better results. I agree, he hasn't done much. But who on our team has???? I see the talent there though, I really do. I just see some stupid dumb mistakes all the time - that if he had proper coaching from the beginning - I don't think we would be talking about it. I just like the guy I guess. I see the potential and hope the coaches do, I def agree he is on the hot seat in a crowded room. I hope he makes it, but I wont stop being a fan if he doesn't. To me, I just see a lot of burst that I think we can utilize, especially when that opposing oline gets tired late in a game.

The potential is obviously there, the burst, I absolutely cannot disagree on that. We'll see, having to cut/trade/etc on actual talent is a GREAT problem to have. Even though rastaplan don't like our LB group lol.

I figured there'd be more Corey Coleman drama, but it showed Hue hugging him before the Bill's game. Which is cool because you'd think Corey or Hue or both would hold a "grudge" or something. Tells me a lot of Hue.
Actually seeing and hearing Hue reveals to me, as someone stated in the earlier pages, the reason why he never lost the team.
Other snippets:
I love the dog is able to just roam around, enter offices and etc. Moose on the loose! LOL!
Nate Orchard played WORSE than I thought and Hard Knocks revealed it. Might be seeing him cut on camera.
Kirko is the leader on D. Kirko doen't receive 1/4 of the credit he deserves.
Jarvis is a guy who has a lot of fire under him... and I freaking love it. Got paid and clearly hasn't slacked.
I kind of have a different take on Orchard. I am looking at it that AT LEAST HE IS GETTING THERE! We have had 0 pass rush for how many years, hes at least getting to the QB and rushing him. That's a plus! Now we just need to coach him up on getting the QB. He absolutely has talent, I think its a mental thing and just needs coached up. I have hopes for him. A lot of his pressures he went untouched/unblocked. If that happens, you MUST execute.

Todd Haley on penalties: That's how we practice, that's what we deserve I have a feeling Haley is not exactly behind Hue's way of coaching. Well, here is a quote from Todd Haley that debunks your "feeling." “The great thing about here is coach Jackson gives us assistant coaches the opportunity to speak our opinion,” Haley said, via quotes distributed by the team. “Ultimately, it is his decision of what he wants to do, and I will 100 percent support it. It is not always the case where assistants get to voice and opinion or thoughts. Some of them he is going to take. Some of them he is not. Whatever decision is made, I am 100 percent behind.”
I agree. I don't see that comment as some type is discord. He is simply making a statement....you play sloppy in practice, you play sloppy in games. I also think that comment after we had a roughing the passer call agaist a QB. If anything, it was a rub against Williams and the D. Earlier he and Williams were in a verbal over a hit on Bake in practice. It's true. You play like you practice. I have a baseball background, but it is the same. You play like you practice was my attitude as a player and then a manager of college players in summer leagues. If you loaf in practice, you are a loafer. If you are sloppy in practice, you will be sloppy in games. In defense of defensive football players trying to make a team, the job is to be aggressive and give 100%. When doing that it is sometimes hard to pull up in time.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

i'll be interested to see how we act after last night's game, especially the offensive guys

I am loving this show. Some takeaways.
--If you won't admit that Hue is a motivational and good leader, than you don't know football. The dude is so honest. He holds the guys accountable but he motivates them at the same time. It's remarkable. I was undecided on the guy and I only defended him because too many dumb asses were bashing him, but man, he's won me over. Dude is killing it!
--Nassib is an [censored]. Orchard is not. I get it that they'll pick the best player, but I am pulling for Orchard.
--Haley is kind of weird.
--Myles is perhaps one of the most studly men in the universe. His forward lean and push are off the charts.
--Wylie is still a character. He says some profound stuff in the midst of his jovial nonsense.
--I absolutely loved the rookie shows. All of those guys were hilarious.
--I love the culture that Hue is creating. There's comraderie and accountability. Great freaking mix.

Haha that mock of Jarvis Landry's speech was utterly hilarious.
Even if you have two broken feet, you practice! Hahaha, and the cherry on the cake was when they showed both feet, in cast, sliding before going outside. Haha, I must say that I busted a gut on that.

This. I don't know if he has always been this way - I suspect he has. It's not just what he says either, it's the passion that is always in his eyes. Can't really read down the list of "what it takes to be a great leader" and say that I know he checks every box, but I definitely like what I see from "Hue the Motivator".

Nassib's obvious schtick to get aired on Hard Knocks is obnoxious.
I chuckle at the absurdity of Wylie's belly moving in sync with him shouting, "hut!"
Nice to see Landry mentoring Callaway in the film room
Next episode should be entertaining with the upcoming cuts

I think Hue needed this. Sometimes he comes off as a bumbling idiot when interviewed. He is a good leader of men.

Philly fans are so heated at Michael Kendricks for his scouting report on his former teammates last night. It's so funny, they are delusional, saying that the Eagles would never allow that sort of thing. How can you be Philly, pride yourself as a city on your toughness and underdog ingenuity, and not think that the Eagles players don't give scouting reports to their teammates on their former teammates.

I thought this was sort of a slow episode. They seemed to drag it out, as if they didn't have enough footage to show for the full hour. Heck, they showed a football spinning in the air for like 40 seconds to show that the game is slowing down for Baker. The movies were great though. That reenactment of Landry's speech, where the guys are in casts and one guy was catching passes off the back of a medical cart was pure gold. I'm pulling for Blake Jackson to make the team just for that!

I think this was the worst and best episode so far.
I think overall, it was rather lacking compared to the episodes we have seen already.
I think however it was the most entertaining because of the rookie show. The dude that mocked Jarvis went ALL OUT. I mean that was classic. Baker was spot on too, and throwing in the that eff bomb to mock Nassib was great.
Some points:
- I really like Nassib as a player, his motor is crazy it seems, but man, the kid is really a dbag. I mean giant, huge, annoying one too.
-Orchard, I have been a fan of him since we drafted him - I see so much potential, but hes just not getting to it. I really hope he makes the team and finds out how to tap his potential. but its not looking good. Sad, because he seems to be a great dude, and has a great rapport with the players. I will miss him when if/when he goes.
- Cajuste - I would have said no way he makes the team ( I think I did last week), but the coaches are putting a big hint that they want players playing through injuries (which he did) and Devalve has been nowhere. I think its 50/50 right now that he does. But man, think about the position we are in where our 2nd leading rec last year is possibly going to be cut in Devalve. Its a good spot that we can afford to do that, in the past we could not.
- Cajuste (again) - man, is this kid a little weird or is it just me with the whole "rock" thing?
-I wish we would have seen more of Duke in the show, he is a class act guy from all accounts, and one of my personal favorite players on the team.
- Myles I cannot say enough about. He could get 30 sacks this year and I bet he would have room to still improve the sky is that high.

It happened kind of fast. But at the end of the game as the players and coaches were leaving the field Jim Schwartz defensive coordinator says to Baker:
“I never played, but if I did,” Schwartz says, “I’d hope I played like you. I like your stuff.”
He didn't have to say that. It wasn't a scripted moment. Schwartz has been around. He is a respected coach.
One thing has become obvious about Mayfield. He has gained respect from his teammates.
** My only problem is that one pass in Hard Knocks sure took a long long time to land.

Hard Knocks is really entertaining. Love the camera work. In an true hour (no commercials) I am sure the editing process is immense.
But the dialogue and human quality of the show is a pleasure to watch.
Real football is helmets and numbers you don't often get to see what is inside the uniforms.
Football is high emotions. Heated exchanges. But there is humor. And in this show it was fun watching the laughter.

Nassib is the guy who talks during the movie.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Just got done watching it ... probably the most boring episode of the series so far.
Not enough coach/coach interaction for me ... very little talk of strategy or personnel
And too much focus now on Cajuste and Nassib IMO ... it seems less organic now
One thing I didn't like seeing: Landry not try during the game and then yell back at Haley. It seems like his own speech 3 weeks ago has been forgotten.
TT's injury had to be painful ... glad it wasn't worse.
Surprising that Gordon said "We don't have any more plays hardly" since the spring
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

That's actually the first one I saw, about 15 minutes in, I clicked it off. Dang that was boring.

I love watching it. It is reality football.

You get what they want to show.
To me it is entertaining. Better than most tv.[is /color]

Yeah, I don't get the negativity. It's a freaking TV show. LOL
I like seeing the personalities. I like the attention my team is getting. It's not perfect, but sheesh, I thought it was going to be a disaster.
Bro, I really think we have a great mix of people in charge this time.
Dorsey and his staff seem to working hand in hand w/Hue and his staff. It's the first time where we haven't had dysfunction between the FO and the coaching staff since our rebirth.
That is huge.
I also see how the players are buying in to what the coaches are selling. Mostly Hue, but still...
I loved the humor.
I can tell you this. I used to work my teams harder than anyone else. No way would we be tired in the 4th quarter when other teams weren't. I made sure we paid attention to detail. I demanded accountability. It's a lot to ask.....but, let me tell you something.......humor goes a long way w/groups. It's not sophisticated humor. It's just silliness that is designed to break the tension and get guys to laugh. Laughter is such a great team builder.
The skit scenes were hilarious and it was cool to see all the guys laughing. Team building.
We have something special here, bro.

I love the show. I wish it was on every day of the week. I agree". Especially when it's a team I care about... you're not going to get the X's and O's much especially if the team thinks someone else could use thwt info if it gets shown... Overall I like the show but it's entertainment..

Yep, I love Xs and Os, but damn man..............do you think Hue and company want other teams to hear that information? LOL
It's a great show.
A lot of my family are big-time Steeler fans. They keep telling me that are team is pretty damn impressive in this show.
