Who is playing receiver for the Patriots besides Hogan this year?

Man, I was actually excited for us signing Kenny Britt. That excitement didn't last long.

I was on the right side of history for that one.
Same here .. and with Bowe ... just awful signings

Has anyone that Ray Farmer signed still on the team?

Duke Johnson is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

Bitonio and Kirksey were also Farmer. I think Meder was an UDFA.

(Britt was Sashi Brown.)

Signed, sorry I edited my original post to not include draft picks. He did draft Joel, Kirko and Duke as you mentioned. He also draft JM, Justin Gilbert and all else that's likely not even in the NFL anymore.

Well, the other day he made all 5 of his FG tries, and the other K missed 2 of his.

We'll see. Making kicks and having good kickoffs are vital at this point. (obvious statement of the week) wink

I could not understand why the other licker (Martin) was still in camp. I thought perhaps the coaches were getting cold on Gonzalez.

Special teams have stunk, so having 2 K to practice returns and coverage is important.

We also still have 2 P in camp as well.

One other consideration; the backup P and K are protection against injury. With a 90 man roster up till the final cuts, it just makes sense.

Dez should sign there. I sort of wanted him, probably 51% TO 49%, but he would flourish in New England.

I wanted him to be cut last year when he was shanking it horrifically. But, he pulled himself out of it and should've ended the season with a pretty high level of confidence. Like YTown said, he was money in the drill while the other missed two. We haven't been able to get much judgment in preseason.

I would say no though to getting cut.

The other kicker, right?

Gonzalez.

I think they are just pushing Gonzalez to get better; an iron sharpens iron situation. I doubt he gets cut.

Competition for roster spots is a very good thing and something we've lacked all-too-often since the return. Too many guys were simply handed the spot or anointed the guy.

I think an overlooked issue with the state we've been in is that we get a weird take on our own players and their real value. Thinking about watching C Coleman against J Taylor last year versus Landry against T Mitchell this year. Night and day in many ways.

good point Willie. We see our players so much and they are reported on so much ... maybe we lose sight of how good (or bad) they are

if Sissy Brown or Farmer was still GM
they would have over paid for Dez Bryant
and they would be lauded as great GMs.
Britt has been a lockeroom cancer and a half effort player no matter wheres hes played.
he had a 1000 yds as a Ram and the majority thought he was some elite talent.he was seen through brown colorred glasses.
I applaud Dorsey for changing a culture that got worse with each passing GM.
no more entitlement.no more jobs being handed out cause of what you did 2 yrs ago.
no more country club atmosphere.
now players are being held accountable.
hes bringing in players that are more intrested in winning than collecting a check.

Didn't we get a draft pick from the PATS...that makes it a great signing....lol laugh

Man look at our WR position group from a year ago. Thank you John Dorsey!

why are you thanking Dorsey when you were praising the WRs last year?
most everyone said the WRs sucked and you replied back " no our WRs dont suck"

I think regime changes can do that.

Crowell, Gabriel, and K'waun Williams were all undrafted FA that Farmer signed. And all 3 are still pretty much starters in this league. I think Farmer gets a bad rap because of the Gilbert and Manziel picks... one of those picks rumored to be Pettine's, the other a homeless guy Jimmy talked to the morning of the draft...

It's not important. But I do think Farmer was better than Heckert.

While not a GM, Holmgren did more to wreck this franchise than anyone. Everything he touched was ruined and he was here for an easy payday. I will cut guys a break that try to do a good job but fail because there just not good at the job they have been hired for but when you are just collecting a check, that to me is worse.

Yep. Holmgren did more to set this team back than anyone since 1999.

Man, he just stole a paycheck.

BEREA The Browns are on course to keep six wide receivers after next Saturday’s cutdown to the regular-season limit of 53 players.

Landry, Gordon, Higgins, Callaway, Ratley. That leaves one spot.

It's not worth trying to sneak him through waivers. He seems to have a good amount of potential.
