Ivanka Trump tweets about Jacksonville mass shooting, and people are calling her out (that's the head line) Note: this was her tweet: Ivanka Trump ✔ @IvankaTrump As we await further details, our hearts are with Jacksonville and all those affected by today’s tragic mass shooting. ♥️ 4:13 PM - Aug 26, 2018 https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/ivanka-t...-214717294.htmlRead the replies. It's obvious hating anything trump is cool these days. And they think the president can change shooters/murderers? If so, why didn't the last president do that? OH, here's the answer: the president can't. The lib's solution? Blame the president. Don't tell me there isn't a bias in the so called ''mainstream media". It's everywhere.

How does Twitter reactions = mainstream media?
I’m glad you set the standard though. Imma start posting all the racist ass comments on Fox News, since the comment sections counts as mainstream media now.

The replies aren't mainstream media. I'm sorry you took it that way.
My point is, anything and everything anyone with "Trump" in their name says or does gets torn apart, ridiculed, and has terrible headlines written. By the main stream media.
I know you love it, and I'm sorry you can't see it.
Just like trump on McCain's passing - people, and more importantly, press, ripping on him for even commenting. And had he not said anything? They'd be ripping on him for that.

I don't like Trump, but I agree w/you. The media--and quite a few of our board members--are very unfair in their criticism of the president and his family.

cant see what? That the majority of the country despises trump?
That isn’t anything new. And you know damn well why people gave trump crap over McCain.
You want to sit and criticize the MSM, yet you’re massively soft on the dumbest crap trump has said and done.
That’s what I see.

People are upset because her response is to offer thoughts and prayers. That's all it seems the GOP wants to do for mass shootings: thoughts and prayers. Some people are getting sick of the inaction. This is more of a backlash at the GOP than Trump. But since he heads up the party as president, he is the figurehead that gets involved in frustration.
As for McCain, the President refused to give an official statement on his death. Instead, he offers a small tweet that makes no mention of the man's accomplishments while on Earth. Not a single one. So perhaps the media blasting Donald "I like people who weren't captured" Trump aren't being partisan, as you seem to think. It seems Trump is simply being petty and doesn't want to offer McCain any plaudits even in death.

Arch i know some libs go nuts over everything Trump and family do on Twitter, but you going there to look for Trump love is like waking into a Klan meeting as a jewish blackman and not expecting to see or hear anything that might offend you; it's not going to happen. My advice, get over it. Personally I don't dislike Ivanka, Melania, Eric, Baron, or Tiffany Trump. I do think Ivanka is the most intelligent. I think her relationship with her father is weird. I'm not crazy about the things I've heard about her businesses. However I also think she's hot, somewhat sophisticated, and often seems to be a decent person considering who she comes from. Melania is a trapped gold digger in my mind. I actually feel sorry for her most of the time. I hear she's going to divorce him and take Baron after he's out of office, but it's probably just rumors unless she has a nice I get half if you cheat in public clause. Eric I really don't know much about. First impression is that he is a little dim. I don't like that he and his brother hunt big game and take trophy pics, that disgusts me. Other than that I could care less about him. Baron and Tiffany are just innocents and can't help who their father is, so they are completely off limits in my book. Don Jr. is a crook and should go to prison. I think he is a pinheaded stooge who will do whatever Trump asks of him. Sad really, but I think he's a traitor and deserves what's coming. Trump... well you know how I feel about him and if you don't, just head on over to Twitter.

Imo tweets shouldn’t be covered by any of the news media outlets. After all we’ve allready seen how easy the Russians can hack security systems. And we have a president that doesn’t care that they do it.

Two things,,
1. Until you brought it up, I didn't know she tweeted anything. Fact is, I've seen no coverage of it either in written or on air.
2. If indeed that is her tweet, anyone that argues with it is probably just as big an ass as Trump supporters in Arizona questioning the heritage of a native american politician saying why dont you go back to your own country.
There is stupidity on both sides of this debacle.

That was nothing compared to the level of hate both Melania and Ivanka Trump get on twitter, it can be the most heartwarming, compassionate tweet in the word and the first comment with 800 likes will be a picture of her dad and her implying incest. The left has doubled down on this strategy that insulting and name calling is their best means of discussing politics.

Twitter isn't MSM but it is as good a place as any to put your finger on the pulse of the people.. and that pulse is barely beating... looks to me like that pulse is beating pretty well. i agree that twitter is a good place to put the pulse on. there's a lot of other outlets as well. my problem is that we got people linking comment sections to mainstream media. so i dont understand how posters will whine about me posting a stormfront link to show how a segment of our population thinks, then turn around and agree with Arch with his attempt at linking comments with the MSM. looks like a pure double standard to me. i mean we got people whining that the MSM is doing what they've done for decades; report on what the president and his allies says and does. also, i had to laugh at BPG's comment he just posted. there was a complete LACK of outrage from people like him and hardline conservatives when the obama's were being called all kind of monkeys and ape's and muslims. and yet somehow, people being mean to ivanka is somehow worse? and again, we got people acting stupid as to why the trump clan is getting blasted over their McCain comments. yea, somehow, its just simply mind blowing that a president who said McCain isnt war hero and spent a lot of time blasting him getting captured is somehow catching heat for his tone death instagram post. but once again, this country lives in kellyanne conway reality: somehow its the people's fault for not behaving better than.....THE FREAKING PRESIDENT. but these tend to be the same clueless people who think people should be expected to behave cool and calm while excusing cops who act erratic and trigger happy. somehow, the people are expected to act better than the ones hired to do the actual job.

and you think he has nothing to do with that. Yes, many people hae Trump nowadays, and for very good reason with all the idiocy that has spewed from his mouth. SO yes, he is not going to gt cut much slack. The attacking Ivanka crap is ridiculous, but so was the attacking Michelle crap. But that is the environment we are in now , and Trump himself is one of the worst offenders . When a leader is doing it, of course his minions are going to do it , and then the other side is going to use that as a justification for them doing it too. All I can say , is we didnt have these issues from Obama. Wasnt it kind of nice to have a president who had class and grace??

People elect a man who spent years lying that Obama, who was our president, was a Muslim born in Kenya, claimed that McCain was only a hero because he was captured, undermines the free press, undermines the justice department and then seem appalled that the man is despised?
Trump spent years lying about Obama and now we're supposed to respect a man because he's president when he showed zero respect for our last president?
Color me confused. If people can't understand why or how people can despise a man who undermines some of the very foundational issues our nation was founded upon, a nasty man who attacks everyone and everything he even slightly disagrees with, who lies every time he opens his mouth, maybe they should rent themselves a clue.

Two out of the three people you quoted have a huge history of treating their spouses like dirt. I wouldn't listen to them about what "respect" is. They lack any sort of credible ethos.

This is the bed that he made.
Being mean, nasty and belligerent to people is a lose/lose situation. So there is mean, nasty and belligerent backlash to any action of his.
So Donald directly and indirectly reaps the harvest that he has sown.
Yes, Ivanka is not really to blame, but she is an official White House representative.
So if he wants to change the discourse, he will have to change. And it will take time, and personally I believe that he is incapable and unwilling to do so.
Respect is earned, not given, and many do not respect him, and I understand their position.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!…. That did not age well.

Mueller went after Trump for Collusion with the Russians to get elected. Gets Manafort for not paying his taxes and Cohen for paying a hooker! Yippee! Now he will go back to see if he can get Trump for his business practices in past decades! You and yours will run this Country into the ground because of your judgmental hate of our President. SHAME!

Ah the stupidity of, "There's no there, there".
You won't know what's there until the investigation is over.
And yes, if the cops enter a house with a warrant for a person missing his court date and find a brick of heroin on the table, that person will get convicted for the heroin too.

somehow, the people are expected to act better than the ones hired to do the actual job.
Perhaps if the people doing the hiring aspired to act better than those who represent them, maybe we'd a) get a better quality representative and b) be more inclined to take action when those who are supposed to represent us disgrace what they were hired to do. There's a blind spot in focusing so much on how other people should act and being held to a "higher standard" that it subconsciously lowers the standards for ourselves, at least on large, political scales.
