USC is starting a true freshman at QB (J.T. Daniels). He's not a normal true freshman though, he skipped his senior year of high school to play at USC this year. He doesn't turn 19 until February of 2019. Crazy that a QB this young is starting for one of the most prestigious programs in the country. https://reignoftroy.com/2018/08/26/jt-daniels-named-usc-football-starting-quarterback-2018/

Nebraska also named their Freshman the starter (Martinez I think).
But, that's very young

Even the Harvard grads have caught on and now say they 'went to a university in Boston' And everyone in the SEC knows that prestige is the gook on their truck after mudding *ducks*

I was thinking we could discuss college football games here.
There were a few games this past Saturday and there are several more this Thursday. I'll probably watch Northwestern @ Purdue.
There are some decent games this weekend. Here are the ones I am looking forward to.
12:00: Oregon St. @ #5 Ohio State. We should kill them. That will be fun. LOL
3:30: #6 Washington @ #9 Auburn is the best one and Tennessee at #17 West Virginny should be decent.
7:30: #14 Michigan at #12 Notre Dame.
I'm pretty excited to get some real football back on the airwaves.

I’m so excited I didnt even know we played ... *L* .. We have NO QB ... AGAIN ... were gonna be 7 -4 .... 7 - 5 sumptin around there ... From what i remember we have a pretty easy schedule with some cream puffs ... but any decent school will have there way with us ... tough to win w/o a QB ... and the fact we can’t get one of those shows just how far we’ve fallen ... Oh well ... GO IRISH!!!!!

Refs, I have no problem if you move the posts in this thread to cfrs' thread. I forgot about that thread. My mistake.

Well, I sprung for Bowling Green season tickets once again. They've been pretty sad the last 2 years. I was forced to buy the tickets because it gives my wife an excuse to go down there to see our son who's a student there, lol. The 3rd year coach Mike Jinks, now has mostly his recruits playing and it's do or die for him. The first home game is against Maryland, and that will be a good test.

Yep. It's actually a cool place to watch a game and we have great seats. I just hope they get it together this year.

What an odd situation. So what does this do to his eligibility. Not a redshirt, I presume.

It counts against his eligibility, I'm sure. With a few, common sense caveats. (injury).

Thanks. I never knew that. I love their uni's - simply for the fact of the colors. I like BG because I played in some basketball camps, decades ago. Never been to a BGSU football game, but have been to the Stroh Center for many high school games, (and even a tournament my daughter played in a few years back. Get this: I got to run the game clock, AND keep the book for Sooga's team. Neat memory for me.)
But, I'm probably more of a Toledo fan when it comes to sports.

I spent a lot of time there too. I coached and my son played youth hockey at the BGSU ice rink...between the house league and all star teams we practically lived there. It's a nice campus and school, I'm glad he's there.

NW vs Purdue is a shootout! Purdue's D is garbage

At noon I'll be watching The OSU, but I'm recording Houston @ Rice. I've read about Ed Oliver, DT for Houston, and want to see him play. He's in the pre-season Heisman conversation.

Ed Oliver is certainly worth the price of admission
