Thanks to hardknocks, im hoping Cajuste has a great game and makes the final 53.
I hope CJ Board can make the team as ST and 4th/5th WR.
I hope Nate Orchard can get a few sacks and stay on the team.
AND I WANT TO SEE BROGAN

First and foremost I want to see us win the GLC ... it's of dire importance
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Then, I'd like to see Baker play well (of course)
I'd like to see Dayes have a good showing so he catches on elsewhere
McKinnon is my favorite DB, so I hope he can stick

I am pretty sure he is safe for a roster spot, but I really want to see Body-Calhoun play well. Love that guy and his spirit for the game

1st we have to be realistic about who is going to play.
I suspect that Baker gets 1 series. I think that he'll have the 1st team OL but not too much more.
I don't think that the 1st team defense will play at all. Why would they? They have established themselves.
So ... that leaves Stanton and Roback at QB.
At RB, probably Duck and Chubb probably don't play except for one series. That means we'll see Dayes and Hilliard. Both guys have done some good stuff this preseason, but I doubt they have much of a chance.
At WR, we'll see a ton of our youngsters, Willies, Scott, Jackson, Ratley, Board, Berry, and maybe "old man" Jeff Janis. (who I think is definitely on the bubble, at best) I am intrigued by Ratley, and want to see him play some.
At TE we'll see Baggett, Charles, Allen, and Cajuste. If Devalve is able to play, maybe he gets a series or 2. Man, we have a ton of TE in camp. I like Cajuste. It will be interesting to see how the final roster works out.
OL, we'll probably see our deep depth. I doubt that we'll even see Drango beyond the 1st series or so.
That means a lot of guys will see action, some, maybe, for the 1st time in the preseason. Bowen, Lauina, Gennesey, Harrison, Fabiano, DiLauro, Gray and Coleman should all see action.
I think that Vogel and Martin will get their chances at P and K.
On D, man, the DL will see a lot of guys playing. Woodson, Henderson, Jones, Ekuale, Frazier, and Faulk will all get chances for maybe 1 spot. I really look forwward to watching Henderson out of this group. At LB, we'll probably see Sheldon, Grace, Curry, Bello, and Burgess Jr. I really like Burgess Jr, and Curry has looked really good making the move from S to LB. There isn't room for both, and there may not be room for either when the roster finalizes. There are 5 locks at the LB spot, with Schobert, Kirksey, Collins Sr, Kendricks, and Avery. Heck, we might even go with just those 5. I am interested in seeing how Currie does here.
At DB, we have a ton of guys to look at. Boutte, Mckinnon, Thomas, Sankoh, Meander, Hannemann, Campbell, Smith, Rice, Jordan, and Woodson. Joedan looked good filling in for Ward. I think he might have made the team. Simeon Thomas is an interesting guy, given that he is tall enough to cover pretty much anyone. I can see 10 DBs who won't play who will make the team. I think the rest are auditioning for the rest of the league, or the practice squad.
My most interesting guys to watch would be RB Hilliard, WR Ratley, TE Cajuste, OL Harrison, DL Henderson, and CB Thomas. I think that some of these guys might be practice squad possibilities, though I do think that Cajuste, Ratley, Harrison, and Henderson all have real possibilities of making the team.
We'll see.

I really like Dayes at RB and Mckinnon at CB. I think both have shown some good things.
Wonder if Bello makes the team, if not he is likely to be picked up by someone else.

Really like to see Willies step up and make a case for himself. Or Board/Ratley, one of the WRs. Obviously, Baker too.

There are always heart warming stories like Cajuste.
However, It is all about the development of one Baker Mayfield.
We have two number ones. But long term are success will be on Baker.

I expect Mayfield to get a good deal of time as this will - hopefully - be his last time to get live looks with another team until next season.
I expect them to give Roback at least the 4th quarter so he can have some film for other teams to look at him.
I want to see more of Avery. Beyond that, I'm not so much rooting for anyone as I am wanting to see who puts together a good showing and makes a case for themselves to still be here next Monday.

Whats the story on that D End we drafted out of Miami ?? Chad Thomas had surgery for a sports hernia this summer and got a late start in camp. He played a lot of the 4th quarter against the Eagles. Expect to see a lot of him this week.

Its football .. he needs the reps now .. these are live reps .. the best kind .. I hear u and its a legite concern ... but Baker is not ready and hes a play away from being the man ... He needs to play for that reason alone ...

I'd be okay with the OL against Detroit to be:
Harrison - Corbett - Ruiter - Drango - Coleman
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

If Baker plays, then we'll see countless posts about how Hue is unnecessarily putting him at risk.
If Baker doesn't play, then we'll see countless posts about how Hue isn't giving much-needed reps because he is trying to hold Baker back.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

The 4th preseason game has become so nonsensical that they shouldn't even play or televise it.
Nobody plays, training camp is already over, iirc. and nobody is going to earn or lose a roster spot because of this.
It's only significance is to be an equal number of home games for teams during pre-season and give season ticket holders a 10th game of tickets.
If they cut the 4th preseason game, league wide, nobody would miss it.
We'd just have 6 more days to break down the opening day matchups!
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

The 4th preseason game is completely unimportant, except for the fringe guys who get a chance to show their ability on film. Isaiah Crowell won a job a few years back based on the 4th preseason game. Briean Boddy-Calhoun only seem to have had any real action in Jacksonville's 1st and 4th preseason games in 2016, but he showed enough that the Browns grabbed him when he was cut by the Jags.
I agree that season ticket holders shouldn't have to buy tickets to these games, but to claim that the games themselves have zero value is just not correct. (especially with the rosters at 90 until the final cuts) For a lot of fringe guys, this 4th game is the only chance they have to put anything on film for another team to see.

Wonder if Bello makes the team, if not he is likely to be picked up by someone else. Like others I like Cajuste or however you spell it. And I only got to see one episode of Hard knocks when traveling ... but it was where his dad showed up and let him know he'd had another heart attack. The kid is dynamite from a work ethic and just a quality individual. BBC - yeah he's played well in his opportunities. I would hate to see him go elsewhere. Dayes is a tough one. He's done well enough whenever I see him but he's in a really tough spot with a 2nd round draft pick to contend with. Duke and Hyde. I don't see 4 RB's on the roster.

I hope he doesn't play, in fact I hope nobody plays, there is nothing that can be won by a good performance in preseason game #4, history has shown that. The only possible significance is somebody could get injured. If both teams came out, shook hands, and returned to the locker room a double forfeit, personally I wouldn't be the least bit disappointed. Farce. Take a knee and punt 36 times? Same difference. The NFL would be angry, and retaliate, protect the shield and all. It's time to end this 4th preseason week once and for all! Listening Goodell? That could be one of your changes for changes sake that wasn't detrimental to the game.

And Hue said no starters will play. I immediately thought of the SS spot. Are neither Kindred or Peppers playing?

Mayfield has been playing with the 2's for the entire preseason. Now he needs to be pulled from the same unit he's taken snaps with throughout training camp and preseason games!?

I am rooting for CJ Board myself. He played in Chattanooga. Was a good player here.
My realistic hope is he gets signed the the practice squad after being cut..
He's made all of his plays.
I like Brogan OK...I think we will sign him to the practice squad. If there is a position you are going to have on the practice squad, it seems to me it would be a QB for sure. One injury and you are down to two QB's and looking.
Cajuste...I don't know. Very likeable guy....what does he do on special teams? We aren't going to keep 4 TE's, and DeValve has produced. Maybe a PS guy, but to me TE isn't a practice squad roster spot. I think he might get squeezed out, sorry to say.
To me he's like that AAA baseball player who is good enough, but never quite gets there for one reason or another..usually not based on ability. It is usually a numbers game at that point.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

First, I could never understand the concept of bad teams not using the 4 pre-season games to get better.
Now, a good team can afford to use them to see if anyone stands out on the backups, but in bad team half the starters are questionable themselves.
Use vanilla gameplans and hidding plays, is also stupid in bad teams. Who are you trying to fool? Use the 4 games to get better, or don't use them at all.
Regarding Baker, well I don't see any problem, he should be the better player on the field by far.

I don't care about the 4th string QB ... for Baker's development it's probably better to keep Stanton.
The dude comes off a little dense on Hard Knocks anyways.
