He was probably getting those Carl Nassib returns with this scheme. I wish someone who knows about that would tell us if he's correct or not.... I have no idea.

Nassib's math and logic is perfectly sound. The only question is "where are you going to find a 10% return annually?". The answer, of course, is the stock market. If you just play to the Dow Average, you should approximately get a 10% return annually. My 401k earned nearly 20% last year, but it is only at about 4% this year. If you do it, though, you have to play by the rules and not do insider trading (unless you're in Congress)

That's why it sounded off to me.

I think he said that, but in the second one he said it wasn't a bank.
In either case, there is no bank anywhere that is going to give you 10%.
Even back in the 80's, you weren't going to find anything giving you more than 4% or 5%.

This news is deeply depressing. We can never have anything good. We can never have a quiet off season.
Balderdash and poppycock...

Good to see NFL players evolving towards more upscale and genteel crimes. Nobody got drunk or used drugs, nobody punched anybody out at a strip club or was found to have an illegal weapon at a traffic stop. No women were harmed, at least physically. Call me a cockeyed optimist, but this is progress.

This Mychal Kendricks complaint is jaw-dropping. Government spells out how he literally - literally...not figuratively - turned $80,000 in a brokerage account into $1,200,000 in less than five months. And he basically paid $10k in kickbacks to do it. Gordon Gekko was less brash. https://twitter.com/CharlesRobinson/status/1034852042408374278?s=19

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Mychal might have did himself a huge deal if he does go ahead and takes a plea deal as implying. this could just end up being a massive fine and probation for him. martha fought the charges, went to court, and the hammer got dropped. Yea, he owned it, admitted he knew it was wrong and did it anyway. Gotta respect the guy for that at least. All over the league, 32 billionaire owners are thinking, "I could have got insider information for just $10K and a few freakin' tickets? Damn, this dude is good, I pay 10x that for my insider info."

I dont see him losing more than a game or two ... So the Browns go 14-2 ? That's awesome !!! I think the Feds should look into the fact that a beer costs $ 10.00 a hot dog $4.50 and Arron Rodgers contract signing... And while their looking... Cable phone and insurance costs could use a good looking at.

The NFL-same folks defined the catch, changed the PAT, defined the catch again . . and again, fathered the helmet rule, etc.
What could possibly go wrong? Plea deal as soon as you can. The gains were impressive. Hats off to someone. smh

I literally had just started to zero in on his snaps in preseason, admiring his athleticism and already labeling Jamie Collins as potential players that could be traded.
Now, and I'm NOT saying it's a bad thing, but Burgess Jr should see the field for sure and someone like Bello may make the team now.

I don't think the NFL has punished him yet, have they?
The team released him.
Of course, Josh Gordon admitted to participating in drive by shootings and we haven't cut him. LOL

So now two of the players that Hard Knocks highlighted are gone BEFORE cuts. HBO has to be loving this.
Corey Coleman and now Mychal Kendricks.
