I bought Madden thinking that the Cleveland Browns would be on it. But instead I get treated to the Cleveland Brownpants. This picture is "supposedly" from Madden 08 for the 360. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/viewer.aspx?productId=1871&assetTypeId=1&shotId=3I cry foul. Now that Madden 08 and the Browns do not have a White on White jersey in the game. I say that the picture of from Madden 07 for the 360 and they just claimed that it was from Madden 08.

It's not on the game.
The only jerseys the Browns can wear are:
Orange Jersey/ White Pants (Home Jersey Only - Discontinued as you all know too)
Browns "Retro" Jersey (Home Jersey Only - I've seen it before but unsure where)
Home Jersey (Brown Jersey/White Pants)
Away Jersey (White Jersey/Brown Pants)

I checked out the Madden 08 forums and the Browns only have White Jerseys/Brown Pants as their away. Unless I would like to pay to have X-Box Live Marketplace so I can pay to have the White Jerseys/White Pants. EA already has $80 of my dollars from the Guide and the Game itself. I'm not giving a penny more. I'm gonna go get my money back tomorrow.

I understand the frustration Charlie but it's just a pair of pants. I don't think that little oversight should throw you off the game if you like everything else about it. But hey it's your money, so you're allowed to do what you want.

Heck, I hope so, I just had Eric Wright have a 3 int game vs. Detroit. He played the run pretty well too

love the orange jersey option, love even more the retro duds with orange trim around the numbers n such. I agree with the brown pants. It just doesn't look good in the game  .......but I'm sure as heck not taking mine back.

Madden for Wii is pretty good, just enough new stuff to not consider it to be a rehash. Still, I wish they added the "feel" of the next gen game, even if the graphics aren't up to par. The fact that i feel like I've been playing the same game for 5 years
Graphically, the game is definitely sharper than 07 for Wii. The colors are brighter and richer and jump out at you more with a HDTV connected via component. But I'd still like to see how they'd do will a full year to work on the game (they only had since November to work on this one, hopefully they dedicate themselves to getting the game graphically up to par).
Overall, I wish Wii was capable of running the stuff the next gen Maddens have, cuz this one's pretty awesome in itself.

ya i got the wii too im pretty disapointed in it, it defiantly does not have the next gen feel, and the weapons make no sense at all and are pointless in the game, imo ea only focused hard on PS3 and 360 because they can get 60$ a game and get more money for them if it gets good reputations and they don't care about the wii's look.

Yeah, I just got done playing my preseason game against the Chiefs, won it 28 to 21, good game overall, at least the CPU isn't completely dumb like before.
Damn, I wish we could still save replays, there was this touchdown where Winslow made a one-handed catch and had to work to get his feet down in bounds.
That's another thing! players actually try to keep their feet in bounds, which of course means having to fall over like natural. The first time I saw this I did a double take.
My Ps3 version rocks so far, I'm happy with it. username is tastybrownies.

What do you play on, Pro?
Like I said before, I'm rusty for not playing Madden for several years. I played my first preseason game and struggled with the new controls, etc. I did pull it out of my butt with a TD to Cribbs as time expired on a drag route.
A couple things I don't like about the game.....
The weapons. It's just too much. Is it really necessary? I hate it when player intros go on and they put up their name and their weapon. Kind of ruins it.
The PA announcer during the game gets annoying. Play-by-play guys would be soooo much better.
And I don't like the play selection screen. I like the old school version. Have they been using that one recently, or did it just change?

So I picked up Madden yesterday, only played one game and it was at home, havent had a chance to check out the jersey's but it sounds like they dont have the white on white.
Can you purchase the white on white from XBox Live marketplace?

Yeah, I orginally had my settings on all-pro, but I played the game and I couldn't score at all. Now I have it on pro, yes.
Pro is still a bit challenging but you can play. Usually I get pretty even matches or scores such as 28-21, or 17-14, it's been good so far.
And did anyone get a load of IGN's rating for the ps3 version? It sounds like they just docked it a whole point for a framrate issue. While the gamespot review of the 360 and ps3 are both 8.5 or 8.6, with the ps3 just having lower grapics.
IGN gave Madden 07 an 8.3, the new one can't be lower, I think they're getting pretty bad over there. For all my reviews I will now go to gamespot.

On regular X-BoX they have white on white. As for the game, it's almost exactly like 2007.  Some adjustments but the Browns plays and the overall setup are the same.

Thomas: His overall is only an 83 but he does have 90 on Pass protector/Crushing run block. Plus he is smoking fast..for a lineman

Brady Quinn: 85 on both Accuaracy and Throw PWR really kinda sucks. Most of the time I just do outlet passes to Winslow or to motion WR's.
Bodden: His overall is just way to low. He should be an 88.
The Corners actually play football in this one( I play on all-pro and beat everyone by about 20 so I am going to try All Madden). I really like the game. I have played about 10 games..

Get this. Anyone edited the players at all? When you edit a player, it makes their arms bulk up like the Incredible Hulk. I just love having Phil Dawson having arms that are wider than his torso. It looks ridiculous.
Freaking EA... just another countless glitch on an unfinished (BETA) game.
The best Madden was 2005... the same year NFL2k put out a rival game. As far as Next-Gen goes, they haven't even come close since. Hopefully the NFL revokes the full gaming rights from EA so they can have some competition again.
Maybe then EA will stop releasing unfinished games to their loyal customers. I didn't buy Madden for 360 last year because it sucked. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of good things about this year's version but it's still entirely too far off from where it should be on a Next-Gen console.

I am playing it on the 360. The gameplay is great... it's a lot harder now and more realistic. You actually have to cover the ball up as a runner or you risk a fumble and you can't just throw up balls anymore or they'll get picked off. They did a great job with that so don't get me wrong.
Most of the glitches are minor but it's year 3 on the next-gen for EA. The first game was rushed (06) so I understood the features not being in. Last year there was really no excuse. Therefore, this year's version should have the gameplay plus all the left out features as well as a better franchise mode and for the love of mike.... better presentation!!!

Yeah, this years game is pretty good IMO, no one else can tell me otherwise. YES ORANGE SEATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But no white on white uni's??????

Well, I've played the PS2 version and the PS3 version (I bought them both). And unfortunately, I like the PS2 version better. The PS3 version, I thought was a little clunky (30 fps). I dunno, it'll probably just take some getting used to. But I'll say it does seem disappointing. Also, does it bother anyone else that EA keeps changing the damn controller layout for PS2? This year, you can't even customize the buttons. That pisses me off to no end. Atleast in NCAA 08, I was able to change the controller to match up with Madden 07 and NCAA 07.

I think I've already gotten bored with it on the Wii. It seems to freeze up too much and there's really nothing different from last year except the names on the jerseys. Oh well, back to Tiger Woods for me.
