If we cut Stanton, he'll be back. My guess is that we aren't cutting Stanton though, if we were he would have been gone with this round of cuts.

Waived/Injured:

currie was injured last night apparently
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm also surprised Faulk was cut that early, he played well last night

If I'm not mistaken, a waived/injured player reverts to the team's injured reserve if they are not claimed.

He sucked. No way around it. I think Dorsey, knowing him, did a solid for him cutting him now so he could be added after the first wave of cuts possibly. But yeah, bad signing.

I would tend to agree with you but usually the "obvious cuts" come early. Guys with more talent who are on the edge of making the roster are harder determinations to make and usually come later in the process. I think that is what he is saying...we make....well, we have made the easier cuts a few hours ago to provide room enough to enter claims as other team cut players.

Shon Coleman - T - 49ers
49ers acquired OT Shon Coleman from the Browns for a 2019 seventh-round pick. Coleman started every game for the Browns last year, but graded as one of the worst tackles in the league. He had been playing with third-stringers this preseason and was expected to get cut, so this is a win for the Browns. Coleman will back up LT Joe Staley in San Francisco.

I thought Austin Pazstor was decent for us a couple years ago. Would he be an upgrade over Shon Coleman or Robinson?

it sounds to me that we're more than intrigued with Harrison

I wouldn't call it a bad signing. We were rounding out the bottom of the roster. Sure, you can catch lightening in a bottle, but not often. You bring in guys to round out a position group. At the time nobody knew the Higgins would emerge with better QB play. A bit bummer to see CJ Board cut....local team kid.....I thought he played pretty well with his chances. Maybe the injury makes us think he will clear waivers and we can bring him back on the practice squad. I think he can be a pretty decent player.

I wouldn't call it a bad signing. You're right. It shouldn't be lumped into that phrase. That should be reserved for higher-end signing that don't turn out. That's my bad. However, there was a little hype after he was signed. Right, Diam?

Remember all the S. Coleman hype last year? All the typical posters telling Pit how stupid he was.

I remember that, as well.
But come on, there were some heated arguments between Pit and WSU [and others.] We also saw all the posts about how he was going to better at LT because he played it at Auburn and the footwork was so different at RT.
I really don't care that much about this, but I'm not making a damn thing up.

I remember people saying he would be better at the LT spot since he played there in college, which really isn’t a stretch of reasoning.

And my name was thrown into the mix why? Because I know how to use the search engine efficiently?

It was thrown in because you two love to humiliate other posters by posting what they said in the past. A lot of things are said that are proven to be false, Most of us simply don't resort to such loathsome tactics.

It's really that simple. Or...try to be a consistent, credible poster. It's too easy to find all the BS, conflicting things you say. It's so easy to do. Do better, if you want to try and hide it more.

Fear us, for we no longer have any Colemans, AND seventh round picks!
Not the kind of sig one sees every day. May have a streak of truth running through it.

So Greg Robinson beat out Shon Coleman,eh?
I wouldn't give a draft pick for both of them combined.

Waitaminnit! Coleman was a 3rd rounder. Greg Robison was a 1st rounder. We also got a 7th rounder for Coleman.
Mathematically speaking, we traded a 3 for a 1 AND a 7!
We got a great deal!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It amazes me how many of our high picked players we've had to get rid of for next to nothing. With bad picks like those it's no wonder why we've lost as much as we have.
