If I'm not mistaken, a waived/injured player reverts to the team's injured reserve if they are not claimed.

I hope Brogan Roback makes PS. I think he could be a decent backup in a year or so.

I figured he was going to, at minimum, be at the bottom of the WR list but a ST guy. He sucked. No way around it. I think Dorsey, knowing him, did a solid for him cutting him now so he could be added after the first wave of cuts possibly.

But yeah, bad signing.

I think that is what he is saying...we make....well, we have made the easier cuts a few hours ago to provide room enough to enter claims as other team cut players.

Shon Coleman - T - 49ers

49ers acquired OT Shon Coleman from the Browns for a 2019 seventh-round pick.
Coleman started every game for the Browns last year, but graded as one of the worst tackles in the league. He had been playing with third-stringers this preseason and was expected to get cut, so this is a win for the Browns. Coleman will back up LT Joe Staley in San Francisco.

I thought Austin Pazstor was decent for us a couple years ago. Would he be an upgrade over Shon Coleman or Robinson?

You're right. It shouldn't be lumped into that phrase. That should be reserved for higher-end signing that don't turn out.

But come on, there were some heated arguments between Pit and WSU [and others.] We also saw all the posts about how he was going to better at LT because he played it at Auburn and the footwork was so different at RT.

I like when our GM gets a trinket for guys we would otherwise cut anyway...I don't like that we have guys we would cut anyway.

Coleman was a 3rd rounder. Greg Robison was a 1st rounder. We also got a 7th rounder for Coleman.

Mathematically speaking, we traded a 3 for a 1 AND a 7!

We got a great deal!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It amazes me how many of our high picked players we've had to get rid of for next to nothing. With bad picks like those it's no wonder why we've lost as much as we have.
