It would be a HUGE commitment to acquire/pay him. ... I'd be really surprised if it happens
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Latest rumor (radio/twitter/hearsay), FWIW ... Browns would send Ogbah, Collins, and 2019 #1 pick for Mack.

If we front load his contract it would be doable, as we won't have to pay Garret, Njoku for three more years (with rookie 5th year extension), and Mayfield and Ward for four more years.
Would probably have to trade someone but dang, we would have one badass D-Line!

Latest rumor (radio/twitter/hearsay), FWIW ... Browns would send Ogbah, Collins, and 2019 #1 pick for Mack. I would do that ... Collins is gone anyways after this year. Collins + Tyrod's salaries are expiring (thats 30 million cleared up).

Both Pros and Cons are there for a Mack trade, IMO. I have to assume we've talked a little because we have the most cap money right? That alone sorta is a phone call from one end or the other, Id imagine.

I just have to say that having Myles Garrett and Khalil Mack on the same defensive line would be among the most ridiculous things in the NFL.

It would, but we both know one would get injured by Week 2.

It would make the secondary's job a little easier!

Latest rumor (radio/twitter/hearsay), FWIW ... Browns would send Ogbah, Collins, and 2019 #1 pick for Mack. I'd assume Ogbah and a #1 would have to be involved. Dave, how did it come across on the radio? Were hosts just shooting the breeze for did this come during the 20 min sports report? Context is everything, right? At face value, that's hard to pass up, however, I think as a result of giving up that much, a Mack extension would need to be completed before consummating the deal. I don't think we should give up ALL that only to see him walk the following year....but we could franchise tag him.

He's not ready, but Kindred or Peppers would probably become the third "linebacker" in this dream scenario.

You and Life are always so concerned about the Cap. What do WE have as any sort of Long Term Cap hit right now? LANDRY. THAT'S IT. Taylor's GONE. And I'll say it right now. IT MIGHT BE AT THE TRADE DEADLINE. HMMMMMMMMM. THEN comes Collins. High $ mistake. Diam was RIGHT FROM THE GET GO. I doubt Gruden wants anything to do with him. THEN who? Noone. Vers and Pit wanna go all goo goo on telling everyone to TEMPER YOUR ENTHUSIASM. I'll give you guys something to TEMPER. WE WILL NOT sign all these guys to extensions. It will be strategically pick and choose and right now the ONLY one is GARRETT in a couple three years. All you gotta do is look to the West in LA and the Rams. And Goff is next. Stop worrying about the Cap. We can EASILY TAKE ON MACK.

I like Ogbah a ton, but if we could send him, a 2019 1st, 3rd (maybe 2020 based on conditions to be higher), for Mack & an extension signed of course, it'd be:
Mack- Ogunjobi- Coley/Meder- Garrett
Kirksey- Shobert- Collins
That's a pretty good front seven. With some decent depth, I might add.

I agree that there is always room for improvement. I like Ogbah, but Mack is in MG territory.
