I am shocked they cut Brantley. I know nothing about this DL they traded for from the Saints. I agree. Gator fan or not, Caleb is a good player. In the end I have to trust the decision. It isn't about having Gators on the team. It is about having better players on the team. None the less, I think this might have been a mistake.

That's crazy. he was given a ton of money and they had high hopes obviously. Big hit to their team. Rumors were they called us about Dayes and also have eyes on Jonathan Williams who was released by NO

The only real surprises were Lawrence over Brantley and Charles over just about anyone (Dayes, Hillard, Cajuste). Orchard had a good game on Thursday, but there were too many numbers in his position to overcome. Little surprised that Willies made it as the 6th WR, but glad to see McKinnon make it as the final CB.

My guess is that Willies is released and then, hopefully, put on the practice squad after the first wave of cuts.
