I would be stunned if Meder was cut. (and disappointed)

I wouldn't say I despise it, but I really feel bad for the players who went to bed last night thinking they made the final 53 and then got a phone call today. It seems cruel. That, and the fact that this team never stops churning the bottom of their roster. Its easy to see why players have little or no sense of loyalty to any given team, when they get treated like cattle.
Most of the guys on the bubble know they aren't safe until after the waiver claims are in. Also, every team churns the bottom of their roster all season. And yes, the players should not trust the teams. They literally don't care about them at all.

Davis Webb is being cut. Man, a 3rd rounder last year, who actually played fairly well this preseason. (just not against us)

I just find it almost impossible to believe that Meder could go from being a starter, lauded by the coaching staff, to cut the day after the final roster.
I could see Nassib. He's been .... OK, but not really much more. Meder, however, has been a big part of the DL.

Cutting Meder would be similar to when we cut John Greco. I wouldn't understand it at all.
The rest .... well, I can see them. Grace and McKinnon may be practice squad guys.

I don't like cutting Meder, either. I don't get it. I'm hoping they put in (and will get) someone that's better.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

The claims have been announced.

Neary (6-3, 201 pounds), a first-year offensive lineman out of Eastern Washington, was originally signed by the Denver Broncos in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. Neary started and played in his first career game during Week 17 of last season. He was raised in Richland, Wash.
A 5-10, 205-pound rookie defensive back, Thomas was signed by the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent this spring. At Boise State, he played in 35 career games with 226 tackles, five sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown. He’s a native of Penn Valley, Calif.
of all those listed, why in the hell did we cut meder?
that makes no sense.

These last releases are a surprise. They are discomforting. Overall Dorsey has done a good job, all year, of putting talent on this football team. Based on that he gets the benefit of the doubt from me.

The only thing I can figure is that they want to play Ogunjobi and Coley as the starters, but that doesn't diminish Meder's value.
I think this was a mistake.

Because he wasn't very good. Zero pass rush ability, solid against the run but didn't make any big plays.
I think people like Meder because of the FG block, the great personality and being a local boy. Outside of that, he wasn't very good.
Browns upgraded the roster with the addition of Carl Davis, who can continue his development behind Coley - who was always going to be the starter beside Ogunjobi.
Getting rid of meder? Really? And nassib? Wow....2 guys who were good against the run. Meder works his but off every play.....I'm gonna cry when the bungals, ravens or Steelers get him

Dorsey's ego seems to be getting a little too big imo. He's made some real head scratchers, ward over chubb...corbett before the 4th, meder, nassib, keeping charles, hasn't addressed Oline depth at all

Meder is decent against the run.. Nassib is a liability. Always has been. He's a situational pass rusher only.
