Love everyone of these, especially Kaep.

and its cool to see an american company, despite all their crap being made in china, still show support for athletes and their causes.

i dont look at corporations for leadership, but man, they seem to have shown a lot more of than than our own elected officials have since trump got into office.

Donations to any groups that supports minorities would probably work, too.

Also, be careful what you try to weaponize

I think the entire campaign kicks ass.

Love the b&w
Love the simple messages.
Love the imagery.

"Girls from Compton..."

-sentiments like that can inspire my great nieces in ways Their Uncle B might not ever be able to.

Life's hard enough. I'll take all the help I can get.

I'm sure there's a resource/connex that could make it so. If not- make it so yourself.

Get to work.

You're still a teacher.

You've never let hardships keep you from helping your kids.
You've even spent parts of your own paycheck to help kids that The System saw fit to neglect.

Do this thing.
Make it so.

Just do it.

(PM me with particulars. I'll help your Nike posters find a home in Alaska.)

Can’t wait to buy the new Kaepernick line Nike is putting out.

People burn, destroy Nike apparel over Kaepernick’s ‘Just Do It’ ad

https://nypost.com/2018/09/04/people-burn-destroy-nike-apparel-over-kaepernicks-just-do-it-ad/

They’re just doing it.

Nike customers are burning their sneakers and cutting their socks in protest of a new ad featuring Colin Kaepernick – the former NFL player who generated controversy for kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racism.

Shortly after the out-of-work quarterback tweeted a teaser for the ad celebrating the 30th anniversary of the brand’s “Just Do It” slogan on Monday evening, people began posting pictures of their defaced Nike apparel or declaring that they would be switching to other athletic brands.

“Our soundman just cut the Nike swoosh off his socks. Former marine. Get ready Nike multiply that by the millions,” tweeted country singer John Rich.

One video, posted by Sean Clancy, showed raging flames coming out of a pair of white Nike sneakers.

“First the NFL forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country. I chose country,” he wrote. “Then @Nike forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country. Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive?”

People also posted puns of the tagline on Instagram, writing “Just don’t” or “Nike, Just Blew It!”

Others on social media pointed out the absurdity of destroying one’s own, likely expensive, belongings by posting spoof videos in which they pretended to demolish their branded gear in ridiculous ways.

“I just did mine! My apartment is on fire but it’s WORTH IT!” tweeted Jordan Uhl, along with a clip of a fake explosion blasting a white box.

Shares of Nike fell 3 percent on Tuesday and over 30,000 people were tweeting using the hashtag #NikeBoycott, making it a trending topic.

They have a consumer base that they seem to be targeting well.

So your point is that they act just like any other corporation by playing to their consumer base?

You do understand that's just marketing like all corporations do, right?

I agree. Nike has done their homework and have seemingly predicted that the outcome of this will be positive for them.

I may not be able to relate to some of it, and I may not agree with or like the brand ambassadors they've chosen, but it will not dissuade me one bit from continuing to buy Nike products. That to me is great advertising - it reaches out to a targeted audience while not alienating the rest of their consumer base.

I compare it to the way the Democrat Party is USING the Socialists.

Yea Yea, we support you. Voting for us is a vote for Socialist Change. Then after the election they will drop the Socialists like the hot potato they are. I don't know a single Democrat in the real world who supports taking America towards Socialism. But oh those votes!

I compare it to the way Trump has convinced so many that attacking basic freedoms and rights of many national institutions is suddenly acceptable.

Anybody who thinks it's a good idea to pay $200 to get swoosh marks on their shoes probably supports Kaepernick to begin with.

Had he not worn those socks he’d have had so many more people either behind him or at least being more understanding of where he was coming from.

This campaign seems well done. Well shot, good names. Quality. A refreshing alternative to the diatribes we have been enduring. inspiring work IMO.

That said, UnderArmor supports Maryland, I went to Maryland... so I don't buy much Nike anyway.

When I run, I might wear:

--ASICS shoes

--New Balance socks

--Nike shorts

--An UnderArmor shirt

--And a bandana that kind of makes me look like a pirate.

I have no allegiances.

nike has the best shoes.

UA shoes are beyond ugly. i like the shirts and some of the shorts tho.

reebok is out of style. adidas has the best training shoes, for lifting.

nike, imo, has the best overall variety of equipment.

Well, I have extremely high arches and most running shoes are designed for you slow-ass, flat-footed types. I need shoes that can roll w/my feet or my calves literally explode.

I like the way Nike's look for just kickin. I also like the looks of my Puma's. Black w/a silver puma. Smooooooth. I'd never run in the damn things, though. LOL
