The Dawgtalkers Survivor Pool pool is back for the 2018 NFL season

I looked all over the site to change the rule that one loss means you're done, but there doesn't seem to be a way. I did change the deadline for pick submission to Sunday at noon ET. This way, you're not screwed if you miss the lame Thursday games.

Sorry, been a busy week. I kept forgetting as I'd sit down to work. With the picks deadline extension, we should hopefully get a few more people to join.

There’s still time to join. The deadline to make the first pick isn’t until noon eastern tomorrow.

I joined yesterday.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Always wanted to try one of these. I know some of these you can only pick a team one time. Was gonna pick one of the prime team games to maybe give me a rooting interest, but thought I might want to use one of those teams in the future. Instead I picked a team that I knew I wouldn't want to choose again.

Varmint...

Having done these for awhile, my advice is Just Win Baby. In my experience, saving teams for for future weeks is a losing bet. That said, future value is a fine tie-breaker if you really like 2 teams in a given week.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but NFL.com has a ton of "Public" Survivor leagues. I am in about 10 of them. It's cool, because some of the leagues have either double or even triple elimination. There are also many that are single elimination.

How in the world does the power rankings on this site have us at 30 with Detroit above us, and moving DOWN a spot after we tied Pitt?

I saw that too, but whatever, we should have won and it's after week 1. Win a few and you move up. Lose or tie and you move down. Not worried about power rankings in the NFL.

What amazes me is that 6 out of the 9 that won chose Baltimore.

Was it mean of me to root against Chicago after Minny lost?

varmint with the BIG W

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

That was fun. I think it would have been more fun if you could choose up to 3 games a week or if it would have penalized you for taking games that were a higher victory percentage. Good time though.
