Went to www.nfl.com and noticed they have redone their site and found this video of Quinn. If this has been posted please excuse me.

Just noticed in their 'Video Galleries" they have a whole section re Browns, here is the new link.

Everything always comes out a little too scripted for me. He always seems like he's saying what he was told to say.

Or he's just that way .... Seems he has a politicians mind when it comes to interviewing. Always saying the right thing ... well maybe not the right thing, but at least the things we want to hear.

If he says, "I plan on being the starter because Derek and Charlie are stiffs", would that make derden happy?

If you look at the video of the top 10 plays of the week on NFL.com, you'll see that Barclay's return is number 5, too!

That's from preseason week #1.

You're just used to Frye...mumbles a few words, strings a few incomplete sentences together.

Some quarterbacks -- some people, too -- are able to speak in complete sentences and display proper word choice.

Or it could just be a Very Very Smart young man not wanting to give the Media any reason to pick him apart.

Anymore it seems as if the sports media will take whatever a kid says, twist it and turn it into something completely different than what was intended.

Hell, I don't blame him or any public figure if they are vague and even scripted sounding sometimes.... it may be the only way to stay sane.

Well, have you heard some of the questions the reporters ask? They will ask the same question 5 different ways and then write in the paper that the player was "short" when answering a question.

I say, say all the right things. The media towards the Browns are very manipulative and negative.

Some people never let an opportunity go when it comes to finding something to pick on Frye about....

Childish

And some people take things too seriously. My "Read with the Browns" comment was a joke. But I did find BrownBomber's comment funny.

Exactly.. the question could be: Are you excited about getting on the field with your team?

Answer: Oh yea, I've very excited. I've been working hard and studying my playbook, I'm really ready to get out there with Braylon and Jamal and Joe and get things going.

Probably an extreme example, but that's the kinda thing I was referring to,, That's how the media ropes us into listening.,

I'll tell ya,and I said something similar on another thread, during this past off season,he's done a pretty good job in that department.

And he looked pretty good Saturday night in his limited time on the field.

I'll have to wait and see how it plays out over the course of the season, but so far I've seen signs of encouragement.

We have given CF his chance to shine...he has responded by using a dense lampshade. I know...I know he hasn't had an Oline to support him...well, so what...be ready when your next chance comes.

Brown's fans need to pin their hopes on BQ and get behind him and RAC starting now. The longer we deny that CF is more than a backup the longer we slow BQ's development and thusly hinder the learning process of BQ and his new Oline and receiving corp.

Let CF and DA split a half in the next 3 preseason games while BQ plays a complete half. Let him throw his interceptions and make his mental mistakes as all rookies do...but this kid is smart and well schooled. He isn't fragile or a babe in the woods. Turn him loose to earn his money and start before the bye week.

And when DA had his "chance to shine"? 0-3 as a starter and stunk it up last week too. Your point is?

Somebody has to keep the seat warm untill Bradys ready. Somebody has to be able to at least "move the ball and give us a chance to win".

Do what? Oh yeah.let's go into the regular season without a named QB and our team in confusion. That'll get everybody backing RAC!

DA has shown when he's had "his chance to shine" his bulb doesn't come on at all.

And if you think most people can't see that,I think you're wrong. All we're doing is hoping RAC will quit wasting more precious pre season time figuring it out. We have a new O to get ready. Splitting pre season time only cuts that precious time untill the starter is named.

Time for them to get on the same page. But I guess some people didn't learn a damned thing from the Couch/Holcomb charade. There's no use tanking the season untill Quinn is ready by watching a "Botch moment" replay my friend.

I stopped reading your post right there Ralphie

No, we don't need to any such thing before it's time to do it. Charlie will, Most likely be the starter in the Pittsburgh game and probably longer depending on how he performs..

I'm pinning my hopes on anyone that is behind center cause that's all I got to work with. Pinning my hopes on a guy that's on the pine makes little to no sense what so ever.

But like I've said a million times, if BQ is behind center or should I say, when he is behind center, I'm ok with it as long as he's there because he earned it, not because he was a 1st round pick and we have lots of bucks tied up in him, or because the FANS think it's the right thing to do...

Agreed. 100%

I get tired of people saying things like "start Brady now - he's the future - he'll be great".

Do people remember that RAC is on the hot seat this year? Trust me, RAC hasn't forgotten that - he will start whoever gives the team the best chance to win. His job depends on winning. If, and when, BQ is ready and BETTER than Frye, BQ will be playing - and hopefully not one minute before he's ready AND better.

And don't misread what I posted - if he's gotten it, then put him in. But please, RAC, don't put him in too soon (before he gets it) and ruin him.

I don't care who starts at q.b. I want the guy that gives us the best chance to win. I don't care who it is. I really, truly don't. And I bet RAC feels the same way.

I wanna hear it... from someone with first-hand knowledge.

Not doubting you Ghost, but someone posted something they heard on the radio about the number of reps each QB took with the first unit yesterday, only to have it be completely unconfirmable from anywhere.

I want to hear it (and actually, board rules going against rumormill material want to hear it) from someone that actually witnessed it.

Pit...Don't even justify this BS with a response man...

Derrick Anderson will be selling CARS in 3 or 4 weeks...

Man I tell ya...I've never seen a more significant group of blatant ignorance spewin' for a QB with a strong arm and NOTHING ELSE to be a part of a football team...

GO DEEP, I'LL HIT YA"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people need to get a clue...Same BS went on with Holcomb...

A HEALTHY Tim Couch would be in his NINTH YEAR as the starting QB of this team today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you guys kill me.... what if you don't kiss bradys ass you are a hater? IF you want the best player on the field you are a hater? If you don't agree that Quinn is the best thing since sliced bread EVEN THOUGH HE HAS NEVER PLAYED A DOWN IN THE NFL that you are a hater?

Just kills me. DA is a bad QB with a great arm. Charlie is doing well, and IMO deservers to start at the moment as he is our best QB. If and when someone proves to be better than they will be the starter.

I assume you're speaking about me since I used the word "hater". The poster I was reffering to says BQ is an overhyped pretty boy douche and his interviews are scripted, etc. His posts have ZERO to do with football. Do I think BQ should start? No. Do I think he eventually gives this team the best chance to win. Yes, but that doesn't mean right now. BQ is a Brown regardless of who he played for in college and how over hyped they are, but you have HATERS bustin his balls about stupid stuff. So called Browns "fans". Retarded

All of this talk about who is the better QB kinda cracks me up.. Let's face it, we are just fans.. and in the end, our opinions, no matter how grounded in fact or crap, don't mean a think

I guess I want what everyone else wants however... I just want the browns to win.. I really could care less who they trott out there.....

I disagree Damon. If our opinions ARE indeed "grounded in fact" and the powers the be can't even grasp those "facts" it certainly does mean something. And what it means, certainly isn't a good sign for us or this team.

Don't know if you were around for the Couch-Holcomb wars on the old board. But take it from someone who was......things can get vicious quickly on here regarding QBs.

My personal take on our QBs is this: DA always got too much hype on here as a QB. Attack (I think that's who said it) is right when he says DA could be selling cars in 3 weeks.

Charlie can be a good, not great, QB that can win in this league, as a starter, with the right supporting cast. I think he can win a fair amount of games here this year if given the chance. And this means not pushing him to the curb because 2000 people yell "We want Brady" when he throws his first INT.

Brady has the potential, POTENTIAL, to be a great QB. But that isn't gonna happen this year even if he has a Joe Montana gene transplant. First year QBs just have too much to learn. And no matter what Diam and Ammo say he will also struggle at times. Perhaps even stink up the joint on occasion. That is why once he becomes the starter he needs to stay the starter. Through thick and thin. Until he works out the kinks. And that is why he shouldn't start until the coachs say he is ready. Not the fans. If he starts a regular season game before we reach the bye week it better be because everybody in front of him has a broken bone. (Actually, I think he should watch the whole year, barring injuries, just to learn).

Here's some camp news on BQ who is supposedly "getting it" fast.

• Rookie watch: Rookie quarterback Brady Quinn had his toughest outing so far, throwing two interceptions -- to linebacker Clifton Smith and cornerback Mike Adams on poor reads -- and fumbling a snap.

per Wednesday camp notes thread.
